So, I posted this on reddit.com/r/PokemonReborn (https://www.reddit.com/r/PokemonReborn/comments/3ce13u/bug_my_character_hates_books_so_much_he_broke_the/) but I have not received any replies. Essentially, what is going on is after the fight with Fern in the Grand Hall for the key that Cain has (before you go through the series of events to fight Shade, I walked up to the books closest to the nurse and hit the action button. The game read "Books!?!?! Books?!!?" and really staggered in text scrolling. After that, I lost control of my character and he kept moving right until he hit the couch and moved on indefinitely. I closed out of the game, beat Fern again and saved. I was curious if this was a bug, so I clicked on the books again and as my character pushed right I hit down and regained control. Cool,right? Well, before the Shade battle I decided to pump up my team just a few more levels. I went to the Grand Hall (I think that is the name- the starting place in Opal Ward) and my character would immediately push to the right and keep pressing against the wall. I tried soft resetting, waiting, and all the typical variations (entering without a bike, with a bike, dash on, dash off). I still have control over everything including menus, saving, etc. The only thing I cannot do is override his movements. I am scared to save and quit, because if I save while my character is permanently stuck hitting his head against the wall, I will be quite annoyed. Can anybody help me resolve this problem Step*By*Step? Thanks! P.S. I love this game and it is a blast. I am totally engrossed by the captivating music, radical gameplay and cool dynamics. If you could possibly post your savefile, I can fix this in a matter of seconds. To post your savefile, click on More Reply Options under the Reply box, scroll down to "Attach Files" and locate your Game.rxdata in C:\users\[username]\Saved Games\Pokemon Reborn and post it in a reply afterwards. I will probably have a follow-up question in th eocming months when I am getting a new computer and need to know what to xfer from old PC to new PC, considering the save file is in a separate location, but that won't be for a while! DashingStorm 3 Posted July 10, 2015 Share Posted July 10, 2015 I'm surprised you were actually able to get outside the Grand Hall at all. Most people just get stuck at the chair, quicksave and then post their savefile in that exact spot, but I was able to move you into the Grand Hall and then get stuck at the entrance. No worries, I fixed you up and you should be good to go. As Kurotsune would say; Reborn does not approve of learning over playing video games. So you know what to do next! Almost certain that this is caused by the lingering effect of that book glitch. Because you don't seem to freeze/walk into walls in other places, aside from the Grand Hall, where that actually took place. ..And I can't seem to re-trigger the "Books!
