spark95 0
In Celestine Mountain (floor 2?) there's the area with the boulder and the "+" shaped ice intersection. You can actually go through it by surfing east, waterfall up, and then move the boulder westward. Then go back up the waterfall, and go down, and boulder is no longer in the way, you can head straight down. During this process, the map doesn't reset the boulder location, as this all occurs in the same room. Once you go down, there is a dive area that you have access to. You can acquire, I believe a a Sneasel and TM Retaliate after some exploration. When you try to leave, however, the boulder is back in the original position, and you are stuck, unless you use the save-reset glitch, dig, or an escape rope. It is possible that I simply missed an alternate exit while I was down there. Pics provided below:Edit: for some reason, my last 3 pics aren't loading. Will upload to imgur and provide link soon Edit 2: Here are the last 3 pics. I think the boulder is supposed to stop one tile before the stairs, not on top of it? DashingStorm 3
The way you explain this tells me this isn't a glitch. Allow me to elaborate; When you interact with things on a map and stay on the same map whilst doing so, nothing moves or gets moved around as long as you're on the same map and have not gone anywhere else (like Diving or going to another floor), meaning that everything stays in the place you leave it at. The moment you use Dive, you access a different portion of the map (like an overworld/underworld-type thing), thus resetting everything you previously did, back to its original state. (Or even easier, the moment your sprite isn't on the map where you changed anything like moving boulders or breaking rocks, the game will reset these switches unless they're locked into place by a certain mechanism) Considering the boulder isn't locked into position (which it shouldn't be, because you'd have to re-enter Celestinine Mountain every time you moved it), it resets if you Dive in the same map, since you pretty much enter a new area. spark95 0
Of course. But what I mean is, once you go down there, there isn't a reliable way of getting out is what I'm trying to say.
Vinny 27
Of course. But what I mean is, once you go down there, there isn't a reliable way of getting out is what I'm trying to say. I'm gonna go ahead and guess that this is intended anyway.
DashingStorm 3
I'm pretty convinced there has to be an alternative exit to the maps, but Escape Ropes are a thing as well.
Developers Marcello 436 Posted June 20, 2015 Developers Share Posted June 20, 2015 I got here the other day and, just so OP knows, you can get out from there by just continually pushing the boulder up. That's all, really. It goes off the ice onto the normal bit and you're free to walk away.
