Randoms2 0
So in my attempts to force the weather to change, whenever I set my clock forward any amount, and I try to enter the opal ward from the peridot ward, my game will hang and freeze. Going backwards in time allows me to freely enter and leave the opal ward with no problems, but the weather is always "Scattered showers Monday and Friday, high winds on Tuesday". Also, this isn't the first time my game has hanged when I tried to enter the opal ward. A few days ago, I left the opal ward on a clear day, did a bunch of things in the wasteland and called it a day. Next day it was windy, tried to enter opal ward from the obsidia ward and my game would once again, hang and freeze. I ended up getting this resolved by posting this to the forums and someone fixed it somehow (they did not specify how)If it means anything, here's my file in case this is a unique example Game.rxdata
Alilatias 53
Yeah, my game hangs whenever I go to Opal Ward as well, although I haven't touched the time. Going back to 14.6 fixes the problem. Definitely something to do with the weather script. Specifically I think it happens if the game determines that your weather is supposed to change to become windy at that moment (as windy weather was changed). I remember the game hanging when I first downloaded the Episode 15 community release and left the Grand Hall for the first time, and reverting back to 14.6 to move somewhere else resulted in windy weather. DashingStorm 3
It has nothing to do with the weather scripts, it has to do with the fact that the maps were re-worked and actually need some time to load now. Give or take half a minute to load the game if you "freeze". When the game prompts you to quicksave if you get a "script is hanging" message, you'll stay frozen and stuck in that area. All I can advise you to do when you lag while transitioning between maps, is to wait a few seconds.
Administrators Amethyst 2469 Posted June 17, 2015 Administrators Share Posted June 17, 2015 Actually it probably has something to do with the weather. Redoing the weather system has been a to-do for a while. It's been moved up as a priority as a result.
