[Resolved]Umm Trouble?

Umm I don't know if I'm the only one but I'm having trouble in a certain part of the game. In route 2 with the Crustle puzzle I have either the sleep powder or rage powder and it won't let me use it on Crustle? It let me the first time but after that it stopped working? Is it a glitch or did I do something wrong?

after you use it the first time, are you getting more? because sleep/rage powder is a one-time-use thing and you have to click on a tree again for another use.

Yeah I keep getting more and then I let Crustle come out of it's nest after that I can't use it on it and I don't know why :/ I would also go back to the tree but it would say I already have a vial full of either powder. Then I would go back to Crustle, click on him, and it would not let me use it. The game also lags in that area, I go really slow and I can't seem to run either.

i had this problem as well i think

i lured the crustle to the indent but i put it in the wrong place so it wouldnt fall in and i had to reset the puzzle

after that any time i tried i would have the same problem you had and they wouldnt respond to the powders
i never found a way to fix it but fortunately it didnt happen to the plot important areas

So then what do I do? Is the crustle puzzle not relevant to the game then? I thought you needed the crustle to keep moving in the game because I see no other way to keep moving forward unless I'm not looking at the ledges correctly.

While I do believe you don't have to do all of the Crustles things to keep going with teh story, we should still try to figure out what's wrong.

So, do the Crustle come out of the hole and then it doesn't do nothing? Or what?

Also, instead of clicking on the Crustle, have you tried walking towards it?

Ok this is what happened after the second try it stopped letting me click on crustle and would not give me a option. I would go back and get either sleep powder or rage powder ready. After that I let crustle out of it's nest and usually it would ask me to use sleep powder but it didn't after the second restart of the puzzle. So I tried clicking on Crustle, I would use the space, enter, or A, C button but nothing would happen. I then went to go try rage powder, went back to click Crustle but nothing would happen. So I would leave the area completely, get off the game and go back and I would try again and get the same results. I would click on Crustle both left and right and nothing would happen. I then thought maybe I didn't get the powder, so when I would go back to the tree it said my vial was already full or if to dump the sleep powder for rage or vice versa.

So is this just a glitch?

Hmm, it seems that the Crustle is awake but it appears as asleep. I'll request that you try to use the Sleep Powder again and see if it works.

If that doesn't work, then please, attach your save file, so I can test it myself.

Q: How do I attach my save file?

1. While in posting mode, you should see an option in the bottom right corner that says 'More Reply Options', click that.


2. Down on the bottom left you will see a Paper Clip and 'Attach Files', click on the button there that says ' Choose Files...'



3. To locate your save file go to Local Disk (C:) > Users > [Your Username] > Saved Games > Pokemon Reborn - and select 'game.rxdata'

Here it is, it's only the first Crustle though. I went further down and it allowed me to use sleep powder on the second Crustle. I then proceeded to go back up and retry with the first Crustle but it won't let me use any of the powders on it and it just sits there. Hope this helps.

Okay, so I tested your save and... everything seems to be working in order. I tested the Crustle 3 times, and both Powders worked no problem. I really don't know what the problem was.

btw, if you don't have episode 15 yet, I think you'll need it to continue. The download is here~

If you already have episode 15, just disregard my last comment. It's just because of something I saw, so i'm assuming you're not playing it yet.

yeah when i had this glitch i desided to wait and see if it would go away when the game updated to ep 15 and it didnt

but if its happening to some people and not others i wonder if it is a problem with just some peoples computers

Hey

So, I know I'm posting a few months later, but for those that are still searching for this problem i found a solution after being stuck with this issue; for those that continue to have it. If the crustle isn't responding at all, you need to use rage powder on it. It is still asleep. When you kill it, it responds and you can THEN put it to sleep.
