Zemogray 0 Posted May 13, 2015 Share Posted May 13, 2015 I've recently downloaded this game and i've been having problems. Whenever i start the game it comes up with a black screen. It works on my friends computer and i checked the files he has, and he has everything that i have. However some reason the game will not work on my computer, and we have the exact same computer. I've read other threads on this issue, and haven't found a solution. However, i noticed the threads were from 2013, and now it's 2015. Just wondering if there were any solutions. Arkhi 199 Posted May 13, 2015 Share Posted May 13, 2015 Are you certain that you've clicked on the Game application itself instead of a different file? It would be the one with the black Poke Ball. Also, make sure that the game is the currently selected window when you're playing it. Otherwise, it'll pause the game. We can probably assume the issue is not a save file error, since the game itself fails to open. Try everything mentioned here. If that doesn't work, try re-downloading. Jericho 114 Posted May 13, 2015 Share Posted May 13, 2015 Yup, try redownloading from one of the other mirrors first, if that doesn't work we'll have to look into it a bit deeper. Also, once you've done that, couldn't hurt to restart your computer. Link to post Share on other sites

My old hard drive gave up one me and I lost my old reborn save file so I decided to start again once I got the new hard drive set up, but now for some reason Reborn just gives me a black screen and nothing else when I start it. It was working fine on my old drive, but not in the new one :/ . Help please, anyone? I've added a DEM exception to Reborn already btw and it still doesnt work any better. Any other stuff I can try out to fix this? FIXED: It wasnt an issue of the games or the downloads at all, turns out that after I got my laptop fixed with a new hard drive, the keyboard started to develop some minor issues where some keys would keep being automatically pressed non stop without me doing anything. And it turns out the key that did it the most was the f12 key. Meaning each time I booted reborn with the f12 key being constantly pressed I was trapped in an infinite loop of soft resets, which manifested as a plain black screen to me. Any other stuff I can try out to fix this? Have you tried redownloading the game? Sometimes this just happens and we aren't sure what is causing it. Check if your antivirus is blocking the game, also running the game in compatibility mode and try updating your drivers. Gonna lock this thread to avoid more necro posting.
