spark95 0
Whenever both opponent's and my pokemon get knocked out in the same turn (from selfdestruct, recoil damage, eathquake in a cave, etc.) and someone in my party is holding an experience share, experience is not gained. Jericho 114
Just tested, and this holds true. If the pokemon with the EXP. Share participates in battle though, it does get the experience like it normally would though upon another pokemon using explosion to kill and double knock out. However further testing revealed this to not be the case in double battles when one of the pokemon is still standing. The pokemon holding the EXP share still receives EXP if one of your pokemon remains on the field, but in the instance where all pokemon on the field faint, no experience is given to the pokemon holding the EXP share. Dhanush D Bhatt 0
This is probably because no pokemon were on the field to receive the exp. exp share only works if a pokemon in battle gets exp. then it is shared
spark95 0
I thought that if there was a double knockout in a single battle, then the one holding the exp. share gained the full amount instead of half. Atleast, I'm pretty sure that's how it was when I played the original Pokemon games.
