Koritree 0
My game keeps crashing! I get a runtime error whenever I talk to the Vulpix lady in Obsidia! I think the game wants to give me the Vulpix, but for some reason can't process the coding. I have no idea what to do. I'm brand new to Rebord and I don't even know how to make a copy of my save file in case I need to update the game, let alone fix this. Thank you for helping!! The pic below is what I keep getting. Sonikku 37
I'm sorry, the best I would say is if you could upload your save file. You also don't need to change your save when updating. Seeing you have windows, all of your save files are generated in the Reborn Save Folder, which is located in the Start Menu>user>Saved Games>Pokemon Reborn. You can create a copy of your save by right clicking it, and copying and pasting it. Keep it somewhere safe, like on a flashdrive/cloud storage or in a seperate folder. Be sure to introduce yourself in the Grand Hall!
Jericho 114
Is your party full and trying to send it to the PC? IF that's the case then something about your PC box is corrupted and you can continue the game, but you'll forever have to use the 6 pokemon in your party currently. Otherwise, you're out of luck. We always recommend that you make back-ups of your save file. Appears that's not the case.
Qaaz 4
Same case http://www.pokemonreborn.com/forum/index.php?showtopic=11757 Edit: Ninja'd
Administrators Amethyst 2466 Posted January 6, 2015 Administrators Share Posted January 6, 2015 This doesn't look like the same issue. I've had a different report of the Vulpix event crashing recently, but I wasn't able to reproduce it. Do upload your save file please?

If you are Windows user go to C:\Users\username\Saved Games\Pokemon Reborn and you will find the Game.rxdata file its you save file The you can upload it with the option "More Reply Options" in right down corner when you go to post something in this thread
Damage 13
I completed the Vulpix quest post 14.1 so this issue may be situational.

While in posting mode, you should see an option in the bottom right corner that says 'More Reply Options', click that. 2. Down on the bottom left you will see a Paper Clip and 'Attach Files', click on the button there that says ' Choose Files...' 3. To locate your save file go to Local Disk (C:) > Users > [Your Username] > Saved Games > Pokemon Reborn - and select 'game.rxdata'

Jericho 114
Well I just tried it with your save file without anything crashing. Also while it says it's reading the happiness of your 2nd party member, it's still actually reading the happiness of your lead pokemon.

I'll try restarting my computer! Thank you!!

I can't say that it's about your computer specifically. But would you like me to do the event and then give your save file back so you can progress? You probably won't be able to get the Vulpix right now anyways as it requires a kind of difficult battle for this point in the game.

Just one little problem, now Pokemon Reborn is barely responding on my computer, freezing and crashing. I bet anything it's my computer at this point.
Jericho 114
What is your processor rating? (GHz) Also if you are in Opal or southern Peridot Ward, getting more lag is quite common. Try closing all other programs and processes and that might help speed things up a bit. I'll post your save file with the first stage of the Vulpix event triggered shortly. Just so you know, Vulpix runs off some where and you'll need to battle a high leveled pokemon in order to win it's allegiance.
Koritree 0
I'm in the Obsidia ward, but the lag DOES happen in the Peridot and Opal ward. I meant it just stopped responding, because my computer is old and from 2010. It's a Lenovo though and is normally expected to run games well, but it's a B570 and has a processor that normally runs around 2.2 GHz.
Jericho 114
2.2 is... adequate. There are certain areas that may be slow, but it'll get better. I'm fairly certain. I run on a 2.5GHz 2007 Dell Inspiron i530. So the age of the computer shouldn't really matter too much.
