Is this intended? (Spectral Kiki's Medicham)

Hi!

So now I was battling the Spectral Kiki for the Gastly event in the Wasteland. I want a shiny Gastly, so I repeated the battle various times. At first, her Medicham (shiny) was kind of spectral as well, but then in one battle she had a "normal" shiny Medicham (blue and yellow, just as in the canon games).

Then I realised that Kiki's Medicham's gender is random, so it can be either male or female. If it's male, its shiny sprite is "spectral", while if it's female, it has the "normal" shiny one.

Is this on purpose?

PS: One more thing, when you ride a Tauros in the Wasteland, some tiles look odd (cut the pokemon), specially the grass.

By the way, for now it´s not really necessary to do both female and male for shinies, unless you want to do more work of course. Heracross for example has only one shiny, even though the horns of both male and female are different ^^

Yep as far I'm aware when a Pokemon have Gender specific Sprites only the male one have a Shiny Reborn custom sprite

'fs' probably means 'female shiny' but the strange thing is, there's no appropriate back sprite for that. So either way, something isn't quite right. I tried putting a shiny Medicham in my game and with both genders they showed the normal canon blue and yellow sprite for me strangely enough.

I don't know... I think that in this precise battle there should be always the "spectral" medicham. It fits much better, doesn't it? Can't you restrict the gender of this pokemon to male-only, then?

Yes it absolutely is, but in this case it is not for whatever reason. If this was the intention to have different shiny sprites for the differing genders of Medicham, I think it should be preset to be male all of the time. Additionally it's not always set to be shiny either, even though that'd make sense here in my opinion.

Well, I have battled her like 20 times now and the medicham has always been shiny...

The gender wasn't set, and if a female shiny sprite exists, it will be picked over the male one for shiny Pokemon. Looks like we failed to delete that female file, so this happens.
