[Resolved]Pyrous Mountain Glitch

So I was in Pyrous Mountain trying to get to Cal and all, but it appears that no matter how many times I rock smash the pillars, no matter how many Marcargos I beat up, the lava refuses to go down.

It's really annoying-- I've already gone through the process of breaking all the rocks some six to seven times already, to no avail.

The thing is, I got the lava go go down to a degree, before I left the mountain to go heal my pokemon. When I came back, some of the lava was drained, but a majority of it was still around. Did leaving the area cause the glitch or something?

Regardless, I really just want to get past this mountain so that I can continue on and save those kids. The plot's too good to just up and leave the game. I've looked around on the forums already to see if there was a solution to this, but, unfortunately, I got nothing.

Thank you for reading! Any words of advice would be extremely appreciated.

macargos tend to hide themselves inside the ones that don't effect the lava disappearing from the entrance head right and downstairs and smash one there should drain upstairs, hope this helps start your problem solving if you cant figure out what to do look at nickaboo or other lets players playing pokemon reborn on youtube, nickaboo seems to be a smarter more detailed person, but he went to mexico leaving his channel, also it is a earlier episode but the puzzle shouldn't of changed (much?) but pokemon may have

You have to Rock Smash the magma pillar on the lower floor first, then go to the highest accessible floor with a magma pillar and Rock Smash the pillars from the top floor to the bottom. Where there are 3 magma pillars, you only have to Rock Smash one of them, but it has to be the correct one.

EDIT: To clarify, you could Rock Smash all 3 pillars in a group, but only one of them will drain lava.

Ah, thank you! Unfortunately, I've tried both, of those options, and haven't made that much progress. I appreciate your contribution though!

Mmm, okay. I should go try that now, then-- Thank you!

I had the same feeling the first time I went through pyrous the first time (a year ago). But as dondon said, you have to rock smash a pillar on the floor below the one on which you can spot the lava to remove it. The magcargo's are ideal for grinding ground or fighting (or maybe water) types.

I have the same problem. Although i watched some walkthrough episodes and did exactly what they did, i still couldn't open the first floor's lava passage. I even tried myself many things, like either running from the magcargo that appeared from the rock smashed rocks or fighting them, without any luck. Additionally, there was another thing, whenever i use rock smash by clicking on it from the pokemon menu, there will be no battle for me, just a cleared rock afterwards, which is kind of weird(especially due to the fact that there is no notification just like the bottom floor that says "the tunnels are open" or something). So, any ideas?

I am pretty sure that it is not bugged. It is a puzzle so it is supposed to be challenging, just try a little harder.

I don't really like that kind of puzzles. If you could help or at least give me a hint i would appreciate it.

Well there are a lot of puzzles in Reborn, you should get used to it.

Also, in the future, if you're stuck on part of the story or a puzzle, you can ask here, in the 'Where do I go now?' thread, and you'll probably get your answer.

I will have that thread in mind. I know there are a lot of puzzles in this game, and i like it in general, but right now i 'm stuck and i need help. So, will i have to post this to the above thread?

Pyrous Mountain is actually glitched I've played through this game many times while waiting for the next episode to come out and I have never had issues but doing so again with the new episode release proved to be troublesome. I opened the lava channel on the bottom floor and went to the next one needed and it wouldn't work. I then proceeded to try every single one of the other lava channels multiple times and nothing worked. This is definitely something that needs to be acknowledged so it can be fixed. if need be I can record the glitch and post it.

It might not be a bug, considering order needs to be very specific in order for the lava to drain in the perfect pattern. You may end up on the right track, but end up draining lava from one area and messing it all up.
