Tree Eating My Honey

So I'm in the woods trying to get my Heracross.

But this one tree (seen below) has been eating all my honey, meaning that if I slather it with honey, it won't register that the honey's there I lose it.

Any way to fix this?

From my testing, none of the trees are working in chapter E14. Backup your save and switch back to E13 and you should be able to get past the forest.

The trees dont show the honey, but it is there, if you leave and come back after 250 steps its should register, at least it did for me

Is there a way to get it to work for EP11? That was the episode I was on before now (though it's not letting me open it with it anymore).

The trees do work, you have to keep the Reborn window open while you are waiting for Heracross and Pinsir to appear. You don't need to take a specific amount of steps, you only have to wait somewhere with the tree not showing on your screen for 3 minutes iirc.

The trees worked fine in EP11. The difference here is that there's a. no more honey smudge when I apply it, and b. it lets me apply it over and over again.

When the trees worked (if they still do), honey could still be applied & reapplied.

Try waiting a while by the tree after putting honey on it.

There should have been a change implemented in episode 14 that means the Heracross vs Pinsir event now activates on number of steps rather than time though.
