Jericho 114 Posted December 13, 2014 Share Posted December 13, 2014 How did you get there before beating Samson? Either way that's not there for me. If you somehow managed to get yourself somewhere you're not yet supposed to be, then that makes perfect sense as it would keep you from going to more places you aren't supposed to be at. If you've defeated Samson and already got Surf, then I'd recommend re-downloading the game. Link to post Share on other sites

It looks like this is here to prevent you from going in this direction and to funnel you towards somewhere else first. I don't think this is a mapping error, outside of it being somewhat confusing. Head back to the waterfall and go north this time. I'll see if I can get some more readability on this or something. Link to post Share on other sites
Jellybat 0 Posted December 13, 2014 Share Posted December 13, 2014 i have the exact same problem now. i beat samson and got surf. cannot progress outside of this 1 tile. edit: i reverted back to 13( i think? i just randomly started putting different versions i didnt name in a dummy game) and it somehow fixed it for me. going back to 14 to test if it works now. more edit: confirmed. it is episode 14 causing this for me. guess ill hold off on playing this until it is fixed. note: before doing this i saved outside the citrine cave then entered in to check if i got past the tilewall. i did not turn invisible when i entered the cave on the older version Game.rxdata for those interested on testing on my savefile Link to post Share on other sites

Jellybat 0 Posted December 13, 2014 Share Posted December 13, 2014 so basically something that was in version 12 got turned back active again in version 14? i have been updating my game by overwriting my old versions by copypasting the newer version on top of the older one. could it be the problem? No, that's whats recommended. The thing is, I don't have that there. Did you beat Samson with Episode 14 installed? It could be some sort of trigger not functioning properly anymore. It could be some sort of trigger not functioning properly anymore. i beat samson with EP 13 installed. i got the surf and went to the cave after installing EP 14. could certainly be a trigger problem you think of. although in this case it did activate the event for getting the HM surf. This comes across rather strangely to me as the problem is not universal for all save files in E14, but yet, it doesn't occur in episode 13 with the same save files. TESTED: exact same problem. although on the other hand. i can give more info now that i checked the spot again. Screenshot_1.jpg i have this problem exactly. apparently i am ON/above the stone when i enter and probably colliding with stone's borders when trying to move off of it. when i enter using version 14. and no. i did not save inside the cave. i saved outside of it. i could try saving inside the cave with a dummy save.. actually i might as well do that. testing. TEST DONE: i proceeded saving ON the stone during episode 14. i reverted back to episode 13 . the stone was gone and i could move deeper into the cave . i then proceeded to save in episode 13 inside the cave and not on the stone. updated to episode 14. the stone was there again. and no. i did not turn invisible. i can move inside the cave in episode 14 if i save during episode 13. NOT on the location where the blocking stone is. but the stone will block me from exiting the place from the said entrance in the image. proceeding to test episode 12 WHILE inside the cave. kinda expected. its an error. when loading the game file was there anything added in episode 14 that would cause this stone to possibly stop your progress? after the event with 2 at the waterfall i surfed straight left and to the cave entrance. ill check the mentioned north from the waterfall if it triggers anything.' possibly LAST edit: well. i went straight north from the waterfall in the event happened in ep 14. i entered the cave through this path without a problem. proceeded to check other entrance with the stone(still there). dunno if its intentional design or if the stone gets removed at some point., but it at least seems playable normally through this entrance. ill play through the cave tommorow. For one thing I did mess up and make that rock stick around a little too long. But it's completely optional to pass through that way; just go through Route 2 and the northern end the crustle puzzle.
