Problem with daycare in episode 14

Everytime i try to get an egg from the daycare in episode 14 the game stops working. After the man finished talking the script is hanging. I tried to get an egg in episode 13 and it worked without any problems.

Did your pokemon hold destiny knot and a power item?

This is similar to the error I'm having. If you have your E13 version somewhere, back up your save, access it and you will be able to get the egg just fine (even if it is the egg of one of the newly released pokemon; I'm breeding Riolu in E13 just fine)

As a temporary solution, it works well.

One hold destiny knot and the other everstone.

Can you try breeding them without items to see if you still get the error?

I tried breeding two pokemon without items and that worked fine. Then I gave one of them a destiny knot and I got the error. I also tried one Pokemon holding power lens and the other Pokemon holding nothing and that worked. Seems like destiny knot is causing the error.

Yes I was suspecting that

As I pointed out in the known issues thread, Destiny knot is causing an error likely due to a bug in the code that calculates IVs. Since the Pokémon's IVs are generated when the egg is, that's the moment when Destiny Knot alters the IVs generated by game code, and something there is causing the game to crash. For now, you should do all your IV Breeding in E13 (backup your save file first, though!) and it should work well.

(Just make sure you're saved inside the daycare or a pokemon center before you switch to further prevent data corruption, and make sure you're not in a E14-exclusive area, such as Amarantine).
