Jake2003 0 Posted December 12, 2014 Share Posted December 12, 2014 Hi guys, I played reborn a while ago and found it to be an amazing game. I wanted to start over now that more episodes have been added. However, whenever I start the game it just hangs on the black screen frozen and does not start. And I can't close it unless I force it to close with the task manager. Any ideas on what's causing this? I'm running windows 7 on my laptop. Link to post Share on other sites

I was able to play it on this laptop before, but I did have to get it refreshed a while ago. Maybe that has something to do with it. Link to post Share on other sites

Certain computers fail to play the game in this way making it hard to reproduce (since it's machine-specific) or diagnose (since it literally says nothing). To be sure, admin mode and XP compatibility don't make a difference, right? Assuming not, try downloading a free version of RMXP and opening the game in that (you'll need to make a project save and copy game.rxproj into Reborn in order to open it). Then try test playing it and see if the same thing happens. Link to post Share on other sites

Jake2003 0 Posted December 15, 2014 Author Share Posted December 15, 2014 I tried that, still froze on startup. When I opened it in RMXP though, I was able to get to the new game and options screen. After choosing new game though, it froze again. With no error log this time. Thanks for trying so far everyone, but I think it might be a lost cause on my computer. My brother said he'll let me borrow his laptop for a bit, and it seems to work fine on that. So problem solved more or less. Thanks again everybody! Link to post Share on other sites
