Dei 0
So, I realized I can just restore a previous version. Anybody curious as to how to do that: Look down in the comments. Ok, so apparently my save file went corrupt leaving me with no choice but to start over. This leaves me with two --no THREE options: -I can ask you guys to help me delete the exact corrupt save file if you know how or a way to restore the save file back to an older state (I tried looking around the folder, but couldn't find anything). However, I have read somewhere else that it's not possible to alter a corrupt file, so this one isn't likely, unless there is some new knowledge. -I could ask somebody here for their save file passed ep 13 (basically, a file where all the gym leaders thus far have been beaten) ---The pokemon that I was training in my file were: Delphox (female), Pidgeot (shiny), Noivern, Sharpedo, and Rotom. You don't have to have all of these (nor the specific genders or shiny form), but it'd be nice if the save has one or two. -And the last option is starting over again...which is not happening. Any help, whether it be knowledge or a file of your own would be really nice. I really want to continue on with this game, but I don't want to start all over again; it already took me enough time to get to this point.

You can delete a save file, but there is no way to revert it. It's not in the Reborn Folder. I'll get more on that in a bit. If you're not starting over, that only leaves one option, which is to get someone elses file. This is why we always recommend making backups and naming them game[extrastuffhere].rxdata http://www.pokemonreborn.com/forum/index.php?showtopic=8595
Dei 0
I actually didn't know how to do that before, nor did I know it was possible for you to lose access to your old save file like this. Man, this sucks. I basically lost all my cool shinies to this.
Jericho 114
Do not fret, you will find more awesome shinies in your future Endeavors of Reborn, especially when you're grinding your team. Perhaps someone would be willing to give you their save file? I don't have access to mine right now.
Dei 0
True. I guess I'll just wait and see, for now.
Jericho 114
Might I suggest making a status update asking if someone would be willing to send you there save file at that point in the game?
Dei 0
Done. Another thing I noticed is that it's telling me that my older files are corrupted, too (The 12.1 file save won't work either, and that one is in a completely different folder). Oh well, it was worth a try.
Jericho 114
Are you renaming them to just 'game.rxdata' and renaming the others for safe keeping? Also, do you know where you are saved at in any of these files? What version are you currently running? 12.1, 13, 13.2?
Dei 0
Are you renaming them to just 'game.rxdata' About that...the thread you linked me to says there should be three files titled game, but I only have two: The one that launches the game and configuration one. Also, do you know where you are saved at in any of these files? In 13.2: The building where you get your starter, training my Rotom. 12.1: Right outside the spot where the game 'ends' and give you spoilers towards the next chapter, I think. What version are you currently running? 12.1, 13, 13.2? Unless I'm reading this wrong, 13.
Jericho 114
The older save file would still be running on 13.2. then as well. Both of these places SHOULD be ok, Grand Hall I may be mistaken about though. 12.1 - the E13 or E14 spoiler?
Dei 0
Right before that point, yeah. Also, I found the rxdata file. Too bad I'm too late to do anything with it.
Jericho 114
You could ask to see if someone with an older episode can load up your save file on there and simply move you.
Dei 0
OH MY GOD YES! I JUST RESTORED IT! /end caps abuse Ok, let me explain: You go to the rxdata file and right click > "Restore Previous versions". It'll give you a list of previous files. Just click on one before "Today" and you'll get it. Delete the corrupted rxdata file and replace it with the older one (for me, it's in my user folder and "Saved Games"). Omfg, yes! Thank you so much for your help, Jericho! ^^
Jericho 114
I don't think that was my doing but glad to have helped? Also, if you are able to restore previous version, are you using Mac/Wine?
Dei 0
Nope, neither one of those. Is it not normal to be able to restore a previous file?
Jericho 114
Not from my experience, of course, I've never had to try.
Sheep 27
This is very useful information to know, thank you. Hopefully this will work for all future cases.
