Hey there,
you'll need to check every room in a certain order thoroughly, then Clefairy will create a strength rock for you.
Unfortunately doesn't remember if it's tied to a specific badge though....
I hope I could help at least a bit
no badge constraint if they're at the end of narcissa questline since they need to have beaten the final chapter 14 boss lol

there should be no egg move issue, do the lighthouse quest in kristiline (iirc) then go back to sheridan village, in the move tutor's house. you should be able to reteach egg moves. anyways not sure whether there is any information about RMs, should be the same as regular TMs in gen7

minor dialogue changes and i "think" some affection which wont come into play til the final version but overall the change is currently negligible so its really up to you if u wanna stall for a w with her or not
shouldn't affect relationship points, look at chapter 5 in
karma points shouldn't be affected either

My sister is playing Rejuvenation for the first time and she's coming up to the Valor Mountain battle very soon. I remember in all my playthroughs having serious trouble with the double battle no matter what I tried and was wondering if there are some Pokemon I may not have thought to use you guys could recommend as being particularly helpful.
One thing I read recently was that bounce changes the field to a sky field; is this true, and if so is it a worthwhile strategy to use? Or was there an MVP or two you would absolutely recommend for the battle?
She's playing on the Reborn style difficulty if that helps :)
maybe it's just me but that battle is one of the most overestimated in the game. i'll share what i did during the battle, it's based off intense so it might be slightly inaccurate.
everything revolves around having:
- stealth rocks
- a decent form of speed control
explaining myself better, rocks are good because they help you wear down a lot of threats in this battle, namely typhlosion, dragonite (disables multiscale as well), gyarados and marowak. that's a third of their mons who dislike rocks, the rest (exception being clef) still do get hurt so they're already effective at keeping them at bay. best setter i can think of is lycanroc, which you can get pretty easily at goldenwood park.
by speed control on the other hand i mean tailwind. it's slightly buffed on this field as well and the advantage lasts long enough for you to be able to decimate their teams in 5 turns. i used talonflame here, thanks to tailwind. if it doesn't die (unlikely) then you can fire off an acrobatics as well because of strong winds being set through tailwind.
now, thanks to tailwind, alolan muk threatens gengar, clefable, marowak and jellicent. you can then start building against him, my team was lycanroc, talonflame, alolan muk, alolan marowak and 2 other mons which i forgot (think blaziken and marowak).
finally don't be scared of sacking melia. everyone claims she's trash but honestly togekiss is togekiss and it will always enjoy 60%ing opponents with air slash lol and her other mons arent too bad either

Will Galarian Slowpoke be released in V13? This is my favorite pokemon from galar (as well as Sirfetc'd and Obstagoon) and i would really love to train one... Spork that already added gen 8 hasn't implemented it yet and also says something like it follows Rejuvenation's development; whatever that means. Are we getting the entire gen 8 roster (minus legends/myths of course), or it is going to be implemented in chunks?
maybe it's not my place to answer this but jan said in the ask questions thread that he'd add dlc mons eventually, whether in a v13 patch or in v14

Can we expect v13 to play before 2020 ends
according to jan's tumblr it's unlikely, though he said it should be testplayed before the end of 2020, so we can expect it early 2021 i think

alright, i think i'll be going for steel then. thanks for all the suggestions!
-
thank you both for the suggestions. i might try steel, is there any type similar to steel but where the early game isn't only mons which evolve into that type? if not i'll go for steel. ty again

hello. i wanted to play reborn but didnt really enjoy team building at the beginning, as a result i am turning to doing a monotype as my first run of reborn. not sure what type to pick though since i'm not aware of the type matchups (until shade i guess). would rather have a type where:
- i don't need mods or debug
- dont need to excessively EV train (should be hard enough where i have to actually strategize, but also easy enough where i don't need to grind for 3 hours, since i lack patience)
anyone has any suggestion? thanks.
-
iirc yeah it was inspired by lyoko
-
iirc you cant get them at that point in time. also jan doesnt like sending debug stuff here from what i remember, so you might be stuck for a while

Yeah, that is true. But doesn't the player get to decide weather or not they use Zygarde?
Also, the comment about Melia was just a joke. I'm sorry if it wasn't funny...
i think zygarde does make sense as the MC's legendary. given the interceptor works as a balancer of sorts when the world is in a dire situation, zygarde's dex entry is consistent with the role of the interceptor. if this is right, then we'd also have confirmation of the theory that nymiera and indriad's places in the world are respectively raw good and raw evil.
also no need to worry about the melia joke, i just was overanalytical lol

That may be. But that doesn't mean the MC can't catch and use Xerneas on their team. Besides wouldn't that also be keeping the player from using certain Legendaries?
There actually is other things to base this theory on;
Like the fact Xerneas hasn't been seen in the game yet (as of V12), despite being the main Legendary of the game and even the game's icon. So, there's a possibility it may show up in version V13.
The only question is: who will use it?
I for one, would rather the MC using it, then someone else... (and it's not just because i want to use it.)
Because it would be crappy if the story built up to that point and then had someone else catch the thing instead of us. Like, I don't know, Melia?
You may defeat Madame X. But you may never have my giant reindeer!
doubt the mc's gonna use it, remember that it's associated to nymiera (especially seeing as she's indriad's counterpart, who at the very least had control over yveltal, xerneas' counterpart) . either it's her or someone related to the garufa. likely not alexandra (already has latias, would be overkill for her to have 2 legendaries), which is why i'm guessing nymiera will still have it when she comes back (recall the "we'll meet when the obelisk rises again" comment). although, the question remains, what happened to her after the indriad raid? if she's still alive then she's probably gonna have xerneas, otherwise we're at a standstill (maybe a new character)
anyways for the overkill argument i can extend it to melia as well, she's pretty much fully connected to arceus so her having xerneas being overkill as well would be an understatement

Did cresent really help us on valor mountain she didn't save our life we are the interceptor so it's not like she did much until she came over with the mewtwo. I thought her goal was nim so she came to us fed nim false memories and set her against us
don't think she necessarily saved us there (she admits to that in the sequence after all, which is something some people forget), but there are instances (carotos) where she actually does save the mc. don't think the immediate goal at that point was nim though (although it was probably going to be her next move), rather ensuring xen was defeated

Oh yes, that was a part of the theory that I forgot to mention. And Indriad probably viewed all women as children of Nymiera because Nymiera was the first woman.
As for Crescent being aligned with Indriad, it would explain many things. On the other hand, why on earth would she be? Why would a former storm chaser who went rogue (probably because she found out something she should have) align herself with a death cult bent on destroying the world as we know it?
i think she might have aligned herself with indriad before going with the stormchasers, anyways she have had a temporary alliance with indriad (or even not an alliance, maybe she was forced to seeing as through angie we know indriad has a tendency to know others' secrets) or indriad's ideas changed over time (seeing as it would seem like initially his goal was to make a new world). she could've also lived through the alternate future as well and stopped following him, but i doubt. jan has said that we'd know more about indriad's backstory, which might give some insight.

Random idea: is it possible that, actually, the only reason why Wispy Tower was burnt was that Vitus (under an alias) was inside and working on some shady stuff? After all, it'd be child's play for Crescent or Indriad to strike down Nora without burning an entire tower.
Also, can we really say that Crescent helped the player? Apart atop Mount Valor (and that was showing off since we know we didn't need her actually), she never helps us, rather helping herself, blasting Team Xen wherever she finds them, and making sure we see her in a good light. A far better help would have been to, well, hint at what was going on and give us the reasons why we shouldn't get involved (and why the Xens had involved us anyway). It actually seems like she's more trying to prevent us from learning anything than anything else. But of course, that could be reverse psychology.
vitus was inside and working on some shady stuff, it's already known from the dufaux sidequest. but i believe that burning it down was meant to be some sort of symbolism, seeing as the other 2 events that lead to keta's demise (the gearen city incident and sheridan burning down) are related to fire
also yes, we can say that crescent helps the player, or atleast does that indirectly in carotos mountain (where she saves the player and aelita from the cave's collapse) and when she brings aelita to the healer (+ defends, or attempts to, against the mysterious figures). debatably she helped the player on the ss oceana, gothitelle could either just have been stupid and sent them off to augustus' room as a joke (as trolling the player is a gothitelle trope) or only could send them there.
i think a possible reason crescent doesn't want us to learn anything (even if she isn't aligned with indriad) might be because of the mc's past: remember, we don't know anything about it so there might be a detail which explains why we can't know anything (repressed memories like in the hiyoshi city town possibly, or even memories from a past interceptor).

Sawk got me an easy victory this time (i used to lose before), but i was wondering...
FIRST QUESTION: Is there any other way to earn you a legitimate win, over this fight? Decimation is a custom move that bypasses surviving abilities, is priority and worst of all, Full Restores are being used in this game version.
Also, both this area and the next with Gym Leader fight inside the jungle, although manageable, they put a great deal of pressure on you, because you are locked out of other game areas and especially Gearen (for EV training mostly) and Sheridan village (for breeding mostly), plus previous areas with more wild pokemon to catch and choose from that could be of niche use. The lack of reliable XP gathering and/or rebattable trainers is very noticable in this version, with the first audino trainer being inside the docked ship, now. As is the absence of Link Stones and Focus Sashes up to this point, that in Reborn, we would have already gotten/discovered at least one, during the gameplay through that much content...
Those unfair fights are a little troubling, though (even if i managed to pull through them all). Especially the very first, Mandelis' Houndoom. Reborn allows much more versatility against special boss fights and doesn't lock you out of your own mons, or forces you to endlessly be tormented against seemingly impossible RNG coincidences, that have to stuck together or esle! The concept is very nice, as well as the design, but the execution is indeed borderline "unfair". Finally, fighting Madame right after Neved, without save or chance to visit pc, was actually pretty brutal.
SECOND QUESTION: Will some of those fights will be redesigned, since some of them suddenly appeared in later versions out of nowhere (i 'm looking at you, Madelis!)?
first question: cursed body for sure, i think endure works too
valarie imo isnt too unfair, you have an alright selection of mons before her even outside of floria (ie: vikavolt, amoonguss, can get tangrowth and abomasnow in blacksteeple, jumpluff). first audino trainer also is in goldenwood town, not the ship
disagree with the entire madelis fight portion though, melia having to rely on rng makes sense in context (melia's mons are all ko aside from her weak hapi). it happens both in the fight (which is meant just to be a way for the player to be more immersed in the scene imho) and outside (when hapi uses teleport), though you're right some other non-MC battles being a bit unfair (can rly only think of aelita vs ren though), but i think they're still a good tool to train your strategizing skills if anything

Indriad wants to either control or destroy the world.Who knows what crescent want but considering her nightmare city appearace clearly world destruction is not something she vibes with. But i think she helped indriad because whatever the red haired time traveler wanted to accomplish by releasing the seal and killing taelia would be an opportunity for all those that know what it means. i figure they all wish to use that power differently
maybe that's why she would leave indriad then, because she'd figured out that indriad wanted to destroy the world. could also be just a temporary alliance (like time travelers with madame x, even though i'm not really sure that's a real alliance even)

Aevium Feels like a group of independent towns and cities sort of encompassing the region there is very little shared culture. Also each town almost has different laws and customs as well as different ways to select leaders
the ways iirc arent different, it's usually just the strongest/most relevant trainer in town, either according to the league or by referral
anyways, question: is/was crescent aligned with indriad? if we assume that indriad was the one with the yveltal who set keta's house on fire (wll), and crescent the one who set on fire wispy tower, wouldn't it make sense? although there is one weird detail which should be pointed out: indriad was apparently able to spy on team xen (an organisation which for most of its existence has been underground) but couldn't use it to figure out who vivian's reincarnation was and that nora wasn't at the radio tower?
this is probably stupid though, especially since the red haired time traveler says the other person hunting down keta (or rather taelia/aelita) was a he, and the only person who's a he and has/is linked to yveltal is indriad.
also, almost all actions she's taken against xen also indirectly benefit indriad (with madame x being opposed to him and all that), but it's probably not too relevant
that also begs the questions:
- is she still aligned with indriad?
- if yes, why does she help the player?
- part 2: is indriad then far more connected to the player?
- if she isn't still aligned with indriad, why?
finally,
putting this here to not necropost, but there's another piece of information which could actually prove this, specifically melanie killing the "children of nymiera". that would imply that either melanie or the person behind her (indriad?) would bear hate towards nymiera (otherwise why specifically name nymiera?), given that most people in alternate future either don't know about her or respect her

played in intense mode, flora route so i couldn't go back and use sylveon (since i had to ev train it and reteach misty terrain). i just went with the most disgusting cheese ie destiny bond + quick claw (focus sash seemed to not fool the AI). unfortunately the claw worked like 1/200 times so it took me 100+ attempts to win
