[(E19) Game not loading properly]

I am having a similar problem on catalina, it does what you say the first time and may show a screen that is black, but then when i close and try to reopen I get a message saying "mkxp-z quit unexpectedly."  Can someone please help?

 

 

Edit: Actually, i went on discord and figured it out from the troubleshooting section

[Rain Dance AI bug when fighting shelly]

I was battling shelly and at some point I was facing araquanid and illumise, and both used Rain dance, so obviously the first one worked and the other one was a wasted move. Probably an easy fix to make the AI a bit smarter
