Thank you so much for replying!
- The shinies I listed are ones Jan approved in the shiny discussion threads...however, it is possible that the ones in game have not been updated to reflect them yet, at least for the Lycanroc since it is Gen7. Still, I had no idea that adding my own custom shinies could be a thing...and now I do...and I am. SO TEMPTED to try my hand at spriting now. (I moved recently and my tablet is still MIA...but spriting can be done with a mouse...).
- That does explain why the strength sap nonsense stopped and even started, thank you.^^ I understand that this game wants to be a challenge, and I am all for that...it's not so much the difficulty that has me nearly as much as the confusion. I play rejuvenation first and foremost for the story and to be immersed in the world and to catch cute critters, (hence why I play on casual), and when the rules of the world are established only for those same rules to be broken in favor of mechanics or otherwise...it can be a bit immersion breaking. Like...I'm a trainer too...so I should have access to the same/similar things as other trainers...but I don't. I hope that makes sense...and I'm sure it will be solved in the future once everything is there...
- Well, there goes that possibility...is there a move that functions similarly to U-turn that I CAN get...?
- I have no idea what a power item is. All I know is that the pills and feathers raise your EVs...so I thought they would work...welp.
-
To explain; I just want a wooper with an ever stone who can use earth quake really REALLY hard to break the ice in a cave I found because that would be HILARIOUS. Everywhere I read says that abilities can be passed down from the parents...not that both parents have to be the same species, or that only abilities they can naturally learn can be passed down. Since Rejuvenation has hidden and normal abilities at equal chance...if Wooper can ONLY get Wooper specific abilities, then my little attempt has been pointless.
About the Everstone though...I thought it only passed down Natures...? Mom has one. Her lonely nature has been getting passed down, but the abilities are randomly of all the possible wooper abilities.
Once again; Thank you for responding! As a new player, I am. Clearly mistake-prone and easily confused. You've been super helpful!
You're welcome, just ask again whenever you need help, this community is usually super helpful.
- Pretty sure there is nothing besides U-Turn for Noivern. You can only have U-Turn and Volt switch if it's by level up/move relearner so far.
- Power items are like a Macho brace, they don't increase the EVs by being used, but give them as bonus when being held while fighting.
Iirc you can buy them in the department store in GDC if you have enough stickers to get to the floor they're sold at, which is pretty late in the game, so I wouldn't recommend waiting until you get your hands on them.- yeah, my mind was somewhere else while writing that part about the Everstone, it does only pass on the nature, my bad..

I think you should go back to V11 and save in a map that hasn't been changed inbetween versions. The pokecenters usually work well for this

Shiny Bug...?
Not sure what else to call this...? I try to look through the threads to get an idea of what shinies look like what so I know which to hunt...and a few of them don't match up...?
Screenshots are in the thread.
that's how the shinies look, it's not a bug. But you can replace them with the sprites you like. The game's sprites are located in Graphics/Battlers in the game's folder, just replace the sprites you want

There can be changes from version to version, especially if you look at lists/guides for older versions, which explains contradictions. The wiki is in the progress of being updated though. Try to look for V12 guides here on the forums meanwhile, those are all up-to-date.
And the reason trainers have TM moves you don't is simply to make their teams more difficult to beat. All TMs will eventually be included in the future.
A lot of pokemon you meet in an event (not wild encounter) have an egg move as a bonus, which is why some have an unusual move.
The Strength sap thing is a bug that can occur because of the Vileplume in the Safari Zone. The bug keeps giving mons the Strength sap move because it is the egg move bonus for that Vileplume. If you still have that problem, interact with a Vileplume in the Terajuma jungle or Kakori village, basically any other than the Safari zone one. (The Low sweep thing is new to me, but it sounds like the same kind of bug)

My starter, a Decidueye named Bowwie, DID get U-Turn as an egg-move.
I got it from the heart scale lady...and since Noibat and Noivern can learn it via TM...could I breed for a noibat who knows it...?
TM moves can't be bred anymore (since gen 6 I believe)

No only the power items which increase the EV gain let you pass on a specific IV 100%, other items don't.

So dad's have a 20% chance of passing on an ability, and mom's an 80% chance, and normal and hidden moves are equally likely. (Is what I've read regarding Reborn and Rejuvenation)...
...SO I'm trying for a Wooper with Adaptability...what's the best way to do this...? Mom, of course, is a wooper...
First of all Wooper can't even get Adaptability, do you mean Unaware perhaps? Or maybe you are talking about a different mon?
But if you want to make sure to get a certain ability from a parent, give them an Everstone to hold.Edit: my bad, kinda didn't think while typing this, obv wrong

the latest chapter has a kind of "ending" for the story arc, so to say.
You will get it if youSpoilerhelp Shiv against Aurora, find and read all books/messages in the Dreamscape where a 'feeling of curiosity washes over you', and recline the offer at the end,
I think that's all the conditions, not too sure tho.

If you already have Magma drift you can just enter the volcano from the front entrance, on the beach where you fought against Zetta.
Those who enter from Crawli's gym don't have Magma drift because they gave up the Magma stone, this is a difference in the story based on if you have the stone or not.(Also this is the Desolation subforum, not Rejuvenation)
-
in the middle of the safari zone you will find a vileplume which blocks the way to a corrupted cave where you can find Salandit
-
load a backup save from before attempting the Elite 4
-
you also need to do all 3 Hidden library quests for Karen to appear in Alamissa Urban. Since the first one is not doable anymore after arriving with the train on Terrial island, this quest can be missed.

there is a woman who suddenly walks away after the scene, but it's just a common NPC, not Luna
-
did you give Cera the Magma stone? Since doing that lets you enter Valor mountain from Crawli's gym, it kinda leads to a sequence problem where Kyogre gets skipped. You need to proceed until you get Magma drift, then leave from the main entrance north of Kakori. Go back to Crawli's gym and enter from there again, this time the Kyogre event should start.

did you try loading a backup save?

there is a mod for Reborn that makes it possible, maybe some day someone will make it for Deso as well

They definitely wouldn't get to reborn level unfairness or complexity, but I could see something like sound moves being stronger in a cave or ice moves from grounded pokemon being stronger in the snow
ooh you meant it in such a simple way. Because of the title i thought you were talking about something closer to Reborn's fields. But yeah, such a simple addition sounds realistic.
-
i think it would be too complicated for many younger players, so just like a higher difficulty option I wouldn't expect further additions to the field system to come
-
It's buyable in the Department store in GDC, so not available until at least badge 10
edit: well it's on the 7th floor, so pretty much towards the end of the game. No idea if there is another earlier possibility of getting them
-
GDC actually has its own map. If you open it in your pokegear it will show the city map instead of the whole island. Very helpful if it's your first time in this huge city.
-
in the cave which needs Surf, just go down as far as possible

Spending 2 weeks on Ruby Island and it won't go out.
you need to go to the lowest floor, for which you need Surf
-
there are guides in the Discussion section showing which pokemon are available and where.
Mawile can be found on Ruby Island
-
I think both are only evolvable after Rosetta. But you could use a weather move or ability to remove her field temporarily.
-
you can breed them and then hatch the eggs in 7th Street. If it says in the summary that you got them there, then any mon can be used for the quest
-
You can find one in the Chrysolia springs. It's a cave hidden in the north part of Chrysolia forest, but it should become visible after the events in Tanzan mountain are finished.
You'll need to bring a mon with Surf and Strength to clear some boulder puzzles. Oh and you might wanna bring one with Tailwind as well, will be useful in certain rooms to clear the fog.

congrats on beating him
for future reference, if you go to C:/users/%userprofile%/saved games/pokemon reborn you can find your save files in there. The current save is named Game.rxdata, the other files are all backup save files. Just rename them so that one of your backups is named Game.rxdata and load the game.
(Alternatively Cass uploaded a shortcut on the reborn discord for getting to the save files folder directly, this can help to get there quickly every time you need to, or just create the shortcut yourself) -
this is the first time I'm seeing this. Maybe it is caused by the level cap, tho I feel like it shouldn't. Did you try leveling it to see if that changes anything? Or reduce it's level with candy?
Also if that doesn't help try reloading an older save file from before you started EV training it and see if it still happens.

it's for later. After the raid you can donate money in the Grand Hall to renovation projects, one of them is the Railnet. Some time after donating, the Railnet will be restored and you can come and get it. It's a Steelixite btw
