I'm pretty sure the guy who gets us to collect the Zygarde cores says this too. Also, could they be the Zygarde host? Afaik they're a pretty new character, at least compared to the version in V13. You never know

Ayuda? That's an interesting theory and speaking of him, I noticed that in 13.5 he gives the quest alone now when he used to be accompanied by a wife named May (so that their names create the Spanish phrase 'Ayuda Me' which means 'help me'), I wonder what happened there?

Another has just occurred to me.

The king whose soul was cursed, trapped inside of a coffigregus for creating the Spiritomb Crest, King Ieisel, lived in a castle named Zygara, so I'm wondering if it could be him.

  2. As I have gathered the Renegade route won't have a postgame for the obvious reason that its plot will conclude with the world decimated and as such, I can see it not having an Elite 8 since the league and champion won't matter in a doomed world but it should nonetheless be able to remain at pace with Paragon until the main plot ending.

There are still quite a few factors for it to work with such as Aleita's rise as Karma's chosen hero to take the protag down, M2 and the protag's whole allegiance with Clear and Kieren.

eels wrong using debug to achieve Renegade

Ha. As I see it, Renegade---or hell perhaps even Paragon, the Rejuv plot in general, should be the most legit situation to use Debug a fangame has ever created since we're the interceptor, intervening with fate and isn't resetting the world kind of debugging?

I don't mean to indorse Debug, I just find it kind of amusingly ironic.

  3. There are some interesting theories being suggested here and I concur with quite a few points that have been made:

    Spoiler

    - The missing profile was created to mislead us into believing the MC is the Zygarde host since the MCs name and gender are custom but the one piece of information in the missing profile that is revealed, the age of the host, 25, does not fit.

Crescent established that she is physically 19 (though existentially about 50 due to time travel), and her physical age was used to place her in the orphanage school with the MCs meaning the MCs must be around the same age.

    - That Missing died before being able to assume their role fits the fact that Zygarde remains the same buildable Pokemon it is in canon rather than having a human manifestation as Spacea, Tiempa and the rest do.

I like the aforementioned, however, another possibility has occurred to me.

We know from the anime that Zygarde has two cores. As of now, one of them is available to obtain the 10% dog form but the second is still missing until we collect the rest of the cells. Could the Zygarde host have manifested into that second core? This fits the 'missing' status just as well and could be reason the status is not 'diseased'.

Considering Zygarde is a usable Pokemon, this is admittedly more unlikely but interesting to consider.

    He's actually talking about Nim.

That has crossed my mind but he uses the name Alexandra in that conversation and in addition the first time Damien approaches the MC to inquire if they've seen her, the description he gives does fit Nim but he tells them he does not know what name she might have used with them because she uses aliases which Alexandra does not Nim. That has been confusing me even while I was playing this section in V12.

We know from V that a contract with Variya isn't the only way of becoming an interceptor, so, we can assume that Variya simply needs interceptors on her side of the board, that's why she gave Crescent free will just to punish her for not using it the way she wanted, And notice that MC's soul got shoved in its new body before the soul conglomerate became an interceptor, it agreed before getting free will, then MC's memory of what happened got cleared, making an interceptor that can't tell left from right and will do Variya's game without knowing it, which is the Paragon run until you awaken that dude, and you are in the Paragon run by default: you have to actively oppose your gamer's instinct AND be a psychopath by not doing side quests, not saving Amber, not get Espurr and Growlithe, not replaying the Vivian didn't sacrifice timeline to save that world, etc. to even have the option of doing a Renegade run. Nobody would do that before playing Paragon first.

It's now possible to choose not to undo stopping Vivian's sacrafice? Wouldn't that cause it to be impossible to return to the timeline we came from/where we belong?

Forgive me, knowing me, I might be misunderstanding something.

Nor am I sure I am following this free will concept. You seem to be claiming paragon is not free will but the game is designed so that it's near impossible if not impossible to get the renegade option without wanting to/knowingly making the corresponding choices. That's free will.

The fact that we even get choices such as saving Amber rather than them being main story requirements is free will.

  5. I am re-watching an old V12 playthrough on Youtube (for fun) and there is a line that resonated with a reveal in 13.5.

    Spoiler

In the HoH whilst Damien is revealing his failed plot to lure Alexandra to him (using a sculpture of himself to falsify that he was turned to stone), he states and in gold text: "She will bring about the end of the world if I don't find her".

Is Alexandra the World Shatterer perhaps?

  6. Personally, I enjoyed the challenge of learning to strategize with a preset team but at one point you do receive something called 'interceptor's wish' which allows the choice to use your own team as other characters.

shouldn't his team stay the same level as when you first fight him? Or maybe even only slightly stronger if he is actually doing him gym leader duties?

While it is strange that Texan leveled up past his gym cap, didn't he express a burning desire to get back at Aelita? So perhaps that motivated him to create a seperate, higher-level team just for her?

Well...I think it's not anymore two possible outcomes, but it's the same outcome and the player experienced it depending on which route they are: if you are on Renegade, you see how this "Hooded Girl" becomes crazy and tries to kill the MC, while on Paragon Route, you see the exact moments after that Melia failed and Paragon Melia got her body instead.

I much prefer this perspective; it fits together more cohesively than what the Youtubers were discussing, but with M2 being unaware of the connection, why would she go back to the beginning of renegade just to be instrumental in its success?

  8. Funny thing, I accidentally triggered this portion of the quest as Odessa during the 'Tale of Two Hearts' quest post Karma. but I didn't go through with it post opening the hidden door until I finished 'Tale of Two Hearts' and went back to being me.

I probably could have gone through the whole thing as Odessa. Ana didn't notice at all that I was suddenly a blond chick instead of the orange haired dude she knew lol.

  9. Spoiler

I don't believe there is a 'false'/Willess world in either outcome nor do I believe Karma is malevolent--thus far.

Remember the Karma files describe a 'Blooming World' which is when the world learns to self-sustain enough for the core to dissolve and leave the balance to free will.

As I understand it, the ruined world we get a glimpse of in Paragon is the Renegade outcome in which the MC succeeded in their endeavor of destruction. Hence Melia being unable to stand looking at the MC's face despite it no longer being the Player but the original MC because it's the same face of the person who damned her and her friends.

While the ruined world glimpsed in Renegade is the Paragon outcome in which the protagonists lose due to an unidentified 'She' referred to as 'the World Shatterer'. My guess is that this 'world shatterer' is either Madame X or Variya.

Both MCs seem to be connected and to have made an exchange of the red chain (renegade) for the obliteration spell (paragon).

The renegade MC tells M2: "I gain nothing, they gain everything." The aforementioned supports that the 'they' is their Paragon counterpart.

This is what I got from a particular Youtuber I watch, both his own comments and his commenters (and he did Karma. on both routes).

To be honest I am struggling to see how this all fits together but at this point perhaps it's not all supposed to fit together since there are a lot of questions that need answering including the renegade MC's motive.

I am beginning to wonder if renegade is somehow a necessary evil because it's a means to paragon's success.

    - One received for free from the Mall Attendant

-One received as reward for completing the Virtual Badge quests

-One received from a Hiker in the audience after gathering all the Kimono girls and beating them in battle at the Rose Theatre

    - One received from a member of the Culvier Clan after defeating her in battle (in Zone Zero)

    - One received from another member of the Culvier Clan after defeating her in battle (in Aquamarine Cave, requires Dive since she's underwater)

    - One received from Crescent-MC's date at the Somniam Mall (only after defeating Saki and entering .karma files)

-One received as reward for the Classified Information help quest in GDC

-One received as reward for completing the lengthy Narcissa-Dufaux haunting quest

There should be one more, but I'm forgetting where it is. There's only 9 in the game so far, I think.

If there are nine, I am missing one as the information desk tells me I have eight but I remember all of those except I am fuzzy on the virtual league one. I did complete that in V12 but I only think I might vaguely remember it awarding a stamp.

I could make a copy of my Renegade run save file and refusing to side with Clear and Kieran just to see what happens to the Karen event and then come back here.

That' d be dope if you're cool with it.

About Florin, Dred has a vídeo showing the Talon fight depending on if Florin is dead or alive but I didn't watch it since I want to get through the whole route first.

Oh, I saw the thumbnail for that. I need to watch that.

  12. Is it possible for Karen and Florin to be dead in Paragon and if so, how does it affect the events of that route, Karen's event in particular since

    Spoiler

    it's the legendary dog event?

    I want to see this

    Spoiler

and the Talon fight in renegade with Florin dead.

I have played through the Paragon route but I'm still playing through the Renegade route (Got to Grand dream city today) so I don't know the intricacies about the former yet. But I heard that keeping Karina alive might be useful and I heard that

      Hide contents

Diancie and Genesect are obtainable in Renegade route, and since Diancie belonged to Karen, and was formerly stolen by Karina before she killed her, I assume keeping Karina alive amd letting Karen die is the key to being able to obtain it.

I also know that Talon has a rift form battle (couldn't avoid this information, Axiom Waltz was to much of a banger for me to ingore till I got there) and Florin is with him at the time of the battle so Florin being dead necessarily influences that moment even if not much.

    No idea about genesect tho

    Re Genesect:

    Spoiler

The bare minimum as not to spoil major plot points, is that there is an event in which Ren's robo avatar somehow becomes a sentient artificial lifeform separate from him and defeating it awards Genesect.

  13. Somehow, I feel as though I have been with this game for such a long time but I have not. I started in V12 in May 2020, right at the beginning of quarantine.

I noticed something while checking the date in my starter's profile.

    1693838095_Screenshot2023-11-22214721.png.11b1dcdd1ebfba1cacc2c351d5a0c495.png

The location where he was obtained has been removed despite that it has not changed since he was my starter and considering I ditched him for his daughter a month later almost to the day it's kinda eerie. 😅

lolwut, and what exactly are you basing these claims on?saying what you said without even giving an explanation or [providing a source for these claims makes said claims baseless at best

Well considering this thread has existed for over a year with no release it does feel quite a bit as though the game has been abandoned.

Though I hope that is not the case, this game looks dope.

Ah, that was the solution. "S" ended up being the toggle key, once again the options in the setting menu had no effect, but at least I was able to get Auto-Run working.

My only train of thought would be that they're similar abilities to Chlorophyll (Protosynthesis) or Grassy Pelt (Quark Drive), except rather than doubling speed in sunlight or boosting defense by 50% on grassy terrain, it's boosting the highest stat by 30% in the triggering condition. I'm not sure about scripting, but maybe you could cobble something together from them, as well as the "highest stat" thing from Beast Boost?

    Awesome. Thanx.
This is what I came here to report. I just started the game and the toggle option is not working for me either but the S key did.

If anything, i think it is the good ending again, since you see into Garrett's past and learn why he he hates the foxes as strongly as he does. Furthermore, you also seemingly resist the serum when Reeve eventually tests you, so I'm pretty sure it triggers the good ending.

Also while you pick up the serum, dont forget to read the 5 books to trigger "Your knowledge of mystery grows", with the two other books that have the same prompt being available during ryders sidequest.

Interesting. I am all for backstory, the more the better. Thanx for the input.

  17. Is the significance of the Perfection Serum choice in the Cresent sewer lab and the effects of taking it known right now?

The journal entries more or less guarantee that taking the serum is a bad choice and will lead to consequences down the line, perhaps even the bad ending but I would appreciate confirmation and am curious about the details.
