  1. Okay this is a kinda funny one, apparently after selecting to use an apophyll pancake at all (need to go into the select a mon screen), the game now thinks any evolution item applied to a pikachu (say a thunderstone) is a pancake and evolves it into alola raichu, save & quitting between uses of pancake and thunderstone doesn't prevent this, nor rezoning, any and all pikachu's now evolve into Alola raichu see here an alola raichu: evolved with a thunderstone This is in 12.2 btw

  2. The new backgrounds are amazing, i really like them, but just to put my 2 cents in aswell, i agree with Dem here, the border of the Trainer bases do clash with the background somewhat (especially the bright yellow ring in the darchlight woods version)

Everytime I encountered a wild pokemon in the safari zone

Ahem, while not a dev, i would suggest to only report something as a bug if it happens WITHOUT mods, in this particular case it's well known that the type battle icons and stat boost icons from the mod pack make safari zone encounters crash, and the error message clearly points to a mod file as the source of the error "SWM - TypeBattleIcons.rb"

  4. I'm gonna put this here aswell, as it concerns rejuv too (to a lesser extend)
I recently found a bug in how reborn's Big Top Field operates, and after double checking the same bug applies to rejuvenation too
Namely the field is supposed to add the attack stage of the pokemon to the RNG roll for Highstriker moves for all pokemon no matter the ability, but this only works for Pokemon with abilities that garantie the High roll (Huge Power, pure power, sheer force, guts) as the relevant code segment is in the if-clause that checks for these highstriker abilities.

Very excited for this....spent a shameful amount of hours grinding some pokemon for a good roster in anticipation for this next ep.

With the expected integration of Gen 8 pokemon and mechanics, are we also to expect Dyna/Gigantamaxing? If so how will this coincide with mega evolution and z moves? We've yet to get the mega ring yet and would hate for all the mega stones and z crystals we've gathered to be rendered useless or not as effective due to busted Gen 8 stuff.

    Any insight on this yet?

P.S.   Love this game, by far my favourite pokemon game of all time. Keep up the amazing work ❤️

The insight on Dynamax is that it won't be implemented, Jan has been on record stating that

Also i really love the art in this game, amazing job zumi!

  6. Hi it's me again with another Zygarde Cell am i getting annoying yet?
pretty sure this is the last one though, and now that i think about it i probably should have collected them and posted them all at once, anyway:

Zone Zero: to the left of the big Bomb
that brings the Zygarde Cells up to a total of 105 and they were all there for me (which btw means i can confirm all other noted zygarde cell locations as correct)

out of all those shade requirements the only one that makes the most sense for the average player to do is siding with randomus. beating garchomp to get the best ending is a big yikes almost no one going to have it on their 1st playthrough. not giving blake the ruby ring is somewhat tolerable albeit you expect the player to not have a deep enough connection to the character in need of rescue to not give in to the persons demands. exposing corey makes sense in a way but the storyline has no real payoff other than more of his background unless shade is the plot device that puts the true ending in working order and you need all of his points for him to be satisfied don't forget the issue with having to do this in a timely manner you barely have any time to backtrack before its too late to expose him. can someone explain what the significance of the other person being kidnapped is because I don't see how this should be a matter that affects the end story. lastly the taka battle really not fighting taka getting the true ending is on the save level of needing to not give blake the ring albeit more so because its even harder for someone to understand that fighting him is a bad thing and instead punishes a person that would think go about fighting him for reasons of it being another battle or they  don't want taka to get punished for letting you go forward without an obstacle...

well i don't know about the reasonability of beating the chomp, but it does have heavy impact on Fern & Florinia later down the line, so that's probably the reason why it's included,
You don't really need to backtrack for the policeofficers, the event happens whether or not you report back once you found them all, this bit is likely important for heather later.
siding with radomus has no current implications, but

    Spoiler

if that Gardevoir that Lin called out at the end of E18 is really Gossip Gardevoir, the trust she gained for you because you sided with her master might become important

also, easy to know, sirius pretty much states that El works for meteor at tanzan
speaking of Tanzan, saphira kidnapped, gives as already mentioned background on Lin from Laura, and saves 2 Grunts lives (demian & antione) not 4 as has been mentioned
giving blake the ruby ring... i could be wrong but it's mentioned before as an aside that blake works for meteor, heck he admits so himself pretty sure, so giving him the ring is a really bad ideatm (and this was more of a personal read of blake, but i could smell from a mile away that he wouldn't stick to his side of the deal)

if one pays attention, this might affect either blake, cal, aster or all three further down the line

    Spoiler

as an aside this choice for some reason also decides which between ciel and samson gets voided by lin's gardevoir at the end of E18, still don't understand the cause and effect from that, which is wierd because for every other major choice that connection is evident

why not fighting taka might be important? well him facing the reality of his situation, titania does too and joins "the resitance" so to speak as a cause of that, and solaris gets straight up betrayed by sirius ( does this also happend on zekrom?)

What are the all things Shade wants again, besides not fighting Taka, punching Solaris at Pyrous Mountain and exposing Corey?

Not giving Blake the ruby ring and getting Saphira kidnapped instead of Laura/ Charloette& Shelly/ Anna& Noel

these 5 things, also siding with radomus, before fighting dittoceus

  9. Wow a full box of dead mons, and this region is only going to throw even more BS at you, depression is right
Poor bibarel always the HM-slave (well it is the best one at it) and rejuv takes even that niche away with those golden items
Yeah alvavors ruins was the place karen send those bikers (noted that name just to see if we ever see them again)
Man that sucks about Coyote, prim does have quite a bit of special bulk but damn, on a random shmuck?
Don't be so hard on Karen she just loves her little dov.... PFFFHAHAHA almost got through that with a straight face, yeah she is probably only E8 because anyone telling her otherwise vanishes never to be seen again (well and her pokemon are probably good too, i guess)
Yeah spiking the water does sound like something Saki would do, and then the rest of her family adopted that for the entire region.
Rose better never get hurt, that might just put you into complete shut down

  10. he just passed over outrage for the growlithe... this is an outrage! sry couldn't help myself but seriously why!?
that double battle AI is fun, i agree they were trying to kill ludicolo because it was continusly low, leaving themselves open to bibarel.
well he expects a deadly battle next episode and hes going to get one, just not the one he is expecting, this ought to be fun.

  11. About the V12 Melia Team thing: in her battle on the Xen ship when one gets to the island that we are all trying to forget, she in fact uses a full team of 6 now. and then in later battles. and then one of those gets swapped for some of her later battles (but she always runs full 6 now),  but her team was changed every other version or so, that i keep track of that only proves that i pay way to much attention to this pointless information.

Mono electric teams do tend on the more predictable side, don't they?

well yeah that water level is wierd but i honestly don't question things like that anymore in this region, i wouldn't be surprised if that island magically appeared,
... actually speaking of, if that island rose up from the dirtwater, where was erick before that, there isn't anywhere that he could stand, was he taking a bath in the poison water?

I mean we all know why melia doesn't have to get badges for her "abusing fly to fill in for every other HM" because melia is special

Also speaking of erick, don't be to hard on him having a sidejob he is only a backup leader afterall. The newslady Volta is the actually Electric leader supposedly, but some npc in the lobby claims that erick is stronger than her... and he says he never had a gym battle, yeah that doesn't have to make sense.
Also just generally Saki is supposed to be the gym leader in west gearen. she is steel, because saki is not there Volta took the Gym in west gearen for the time being... and she has no time so erick came up as a backup, why are eletric leaders (there is no way sombody named VOLTA isn't electric) backing up for saki's steel? that's pointless that way aevium still has no steel leader until saki reappears... it might just be that the aevium league is run worse than reborns, and thats a tall order, In fact i am pretty sure Aevium currently doesn't have a leader for quite a few types, Normal for instance, steel as saki is missing, nobody even heard of a fairy leader pretty sure, water and rock are also missing... yeah reborns league administration looks good compared to this

bug is neutral to dragon pretty sure, not that i can make sense of dragons weaknesses and restistances anyway, but yeah magnezone and alola raichu actually have some good special attack to their names.
Also: nooo damocles, whos gonna fill in for the silent type now?!

You think so? I can see some viable options for those Mons he has on his bench right now. Aside from Noibat, which gets really powerful if he takes uo the effort to train it until it evolves, i can see some use for all of them. Lunatone can do some things against Aya for example. Rattata is also easily underestimated, but it can do some nice damage. And Super Fang is easily one of the best moves for capturing new Pokémon, als long as you don't have False Swipe available already.

If you put your mind into it, every Pokémon has some use for playing through the story.

I mostly agree with this, except the unown... that's just deathfooder really

Before Noel nothing really is threatening tbh. Aya is medium at best and Sierra is a pushover. Well, if he trains up new pokemon of course. Imagine him continuing with 4 pokemon lol

I wouldn't actually underrestimate Serra in a blind nuzlock of all things tbh, especially with TTars propensity to only skim the field notes at best. The Haxqueen can and will hax her way to victory if you are not prepared for the BS that is mirror arena (or have a way to remove it). In fact if it gets to that fight i absolutely expect outrage at the evasion and the above usual amount of crits, as he might not know the field does that.

then again the comments will yell at him about it. once the run goes anywhere near there, won't they?...

  14. I have been trying to find an instance where we see dishsoaps IVs or recent stats, just because i kinda wanted to see if the iron head might have been a range to kill... couldn't find any... oh well 🤷‍♂️
For the future we will get to see azurine Aster&Eclipse, and Taka... i have been notably bad with predicting how these things might go, and he will probably train up atleast 1 new mon maybe 2. so we will see i guess. but Aya certainly promises to be interesting (if he doesn't quit the lock after the mere sight of Solaris' chomp after repeatedly expressing that he might not want to nuzlock this anymore, which could be just in the moment stuff, i wouldn't know i misinterpret people all the time)

Another thing for the pile of AI wierdness that i forgot, is why did toxicroak not try for sucker punch (not even against karen, it was asleep but karen went first so it choose a different move) and yes it does have sucker punch.

And with this the Belly button (Tiki button 2.0) is no more as well.....

I'm pretty sure TTar still has his Bellybutton... I will show myself out...

  15. Well then what to say, i am slightly miffed that the comments told him about Victoria, but eh it was an interesting fight either way. (and confirmation in video about being blocked in for her too.)

That iron head man, i know the game likes to cherry tap with different moves to conserve PP on the big moves and catch switches, but usually it does that when the weaker move kills anyway soo wtf was that? XD
good thing he trained karen up, this thing might have gone different if he hadn't.
that whole dance around with Belly in the battle was kinda nervewracking, especially when he sent in into the lucario (the singlemost dangerous thing on kiki's team against poison)
I also kind of find it funny that he only ever took neutral hits from strength, so he probably never figured out that it's her fighting & psychic move for half her team. a fact which helped him a lot making Kiki (the mightyena) be able to tank the gallade because it has no fighting move that isn't also psychic, hilarious.
And as for Belly's death... that's kinda why it would have been a good idea to actually read the Field notes but he never found this one (it is a little out of the way & costs a protein... so yeah don't really blame him there) I believe everyone knows this but ftr that was a guarantied crit, no bad luck about that one.

Is it still possible to get Buizel if Oceana Pier changed to Neo Oceana Pier. Also in Chinchou available for those who were past the shadow pokemon event when that became available.

for buizel the event is longer now, to start it you go into waiting room building on the pier, near buizel, one of the people talks about it, you know you started it when the buizel walks past you when you leave the building. as for chinchou... if it's not avaiable wild, then if you missed the shadow one way or another, you missed the mon for now, but i am not sure on this part somebody else might know better

  17. sooo yeah just for the record, i don't want to see him fail I just like to discuss what could give him trouble, personally speaking, which is why i considered Victoria, Because TTar navigated himself into an akward spot on accident. that being said I can see where I could have come off like that

well we can hope that, Kiki (or maybe Cal in some wierd Universe) will drive the point home, we all know that Solaris' Chomp will just get the BS clause

yeah... I did also notice some more Hostile tones here and there (but i am really not i a position to judge)
An AI patch just for the sake of it seems pointless (the suggestion probably wasn't serious anyway) the updates are gonna be with E19 and there a probably still going to be wierd instances like, the Typh that really likes Solarbeam, because stuff like that is a mess to code, and there are always edge cases it doesn't quite cover in the end.

And either AI has something seriously wrong, or EVs matter here. (Maybe Swalot has a ton of Def EV? But then again, does the AI cheat and know your EVs? I really need to test that someday, really interesting) Idk, hope it's the latter because I always enjoy reading the AI.

I meant the EV/IV thing as i set them in a way that the stats matched to what was seen in the video 85 def 95 spdef at lv.44 (i didn't feel like hunting to see if Belly's IVs are visible at some point), so the calcs are correct but for the wrong reason, meaning i had the IVs on swalot higher than TTs has, because it has EVs, to be exact i did the calcs with 16 IV 0 EV def, and 31 IV 36 EV spdef, which incedentaly means that Bellys def IVs are pretty bad
Edit: only just noticed that i forgot to set the HP right, but for the purpose if this it shouldn't matter as long as the defences are correct, the percent numbers are different but the end result would still be flame charge > solar beam
I hate my perfectionism... i looked to when he caught the gulpin, took it's IVs, took it's stats from this Episode, got it's EVs from the roughly and redid the calcs, it comes out basically the same:
    54 SpA Typhlosion Solar Beam vs. +3 12 HP / 36 SpD Swalot: 7-9 (4.7 - 6.1%) -- possibly the worst move ever
    54 Atk Muscle Band Typhlosion Flame Charge vs. +3 12 HP / 60 Def Swalot in Sun: 15-18 (10.2 - 12.3%) -- possible 9HKO

Swalot should have currently: 22IV/12EV HP; 17IV/60EV atk; 2IV/60EV def; 10/60 spatk; 30/36 spdef; 21/96 spd and Jolly

    • Thanks 2
  19. only brought that up as a technicallity anyway. don't really think he is gonna to that, and as mentionted doesn't really have anything to do with intelligence, he either luckily in that very moment thinks of something to check upstairs, (unlikely and lots of people would call BS on that, even if it is genuine) or he breaks the whole blind thing, which a lot of people would rightfully call BS

    Edit:

    15 minutes ago, GreatNinja said:

The top is blocked off anyway when Victoria tries to ambush you. So there is no way to avoid that xD

Really? , i am pretty sure i did that once, was then confused why Kiki wasn't on the battlefield till i remembered that i avoided Victoria, might have been E16 or something though

    15 minutes ago, GreatNinja said:

Also this AI stuff.. That's the first time I saw this lol. Solar Beam HAS to deal more damage than Flame Charge, that's how the AI works. Man, Typhlosion's Attack is terrible. Probably bad IV too.

as mentioned i did the math on this, between, 10% fieldboost, sun and STAB, flame charge would have done more than Solarbeam, double it even

    54+ SpA Typhlosion Solar Beam vs. +3 0 HP / 36 SpD Swalot: 8-9 (5.3 - 6%) -- possibly the worst move ever
    54- Atk Muscle Band Typhlosion Flame Charge vs. +3 0 HP / 0 Def Swalot in Sun: 15-18 (10 - 12%) -- possible 9HKO

note: the Muscle Band simulates the 10% field boost, the EVs and IVs on Swalot are only to get the finished stat correctly, and are not accurate
also the IV's on Trainer Mons are always the same accros the board for the mon, in this case 20 in everything, RPG maker doesn't really allow for setting IV's differently from each other

  20. I am not sure if I should call the Graveler thing unlucky because self-destruct or lucky that Mightyena survived... i guess it comes out neutral
I am really not sure what the heck the AI was doing with the Typhlosion, taking everything into account, Flame Charge would have done double of what Solar beam did, even with it's modest nature ( i did the math)
Well technically he could get around Victoria still, by going through the upper floor to the exit, but then why would he do THAT? so no healing items, with only 5 trained up team Members Vs. Victoria, this ought to be good, and the underleveled team Member is the smoochum, a jynx would really help him against Kiki, and if he loses that... this looks like a soon to be trainwreck
As for Victoria. well this is actually the first battle with her in which half her team isn't hilariously weak, everything hitting final evolution, we are looking at Pangoro 37, Mienfoo 37, (Alola)Raichu 37, Gallade 38, and Incineroar 39, with quite a few things that can break through bellys defences, nasty plot + Psychic on raichu, Sword dance + Psycho cut on gallade, and of course darkest lariat
