Then again, consider this:
Canon Pokemon games are pink and nice and have so much potentiality but are rather bland when it comes to it. They're clearly Mew.
Fangames (at least most of those I know) are optimized for better battles, they are far darker and edgier... even though they're organically based on canon games. They're clearly Mewtwo.

I've been trying out Zumi's Rejuv character sorter. I had 68 characters, after removing Rifts and PCs. But when looking at the results, the only thing I can think of is how it took over 320 ~ log_2(68!) comparisons to sort the list. Truly, you can feel the difference between O(nlog(n)) (minimal average number of comparisons for a list-sorting algorithm) and n when you have to specify each comparison by hand (Volta or Florin? Jolene or Alexandra?...)

I think you’re both too nice and too harsh here. For the people you’re describing – well, they lose, they burn stuff, they win, they burn more stuff.
But very fortunately, it’s not the majority of football fans – otherwise France would be burnt to ashes every other year – “just” a small minority that disgraces its country.
I confess to not checking it – is that so much more peaceful in other countries?

All in all, such a downer evening.
First, there’s this TV show which is even bleaker than usual, showing several meltdowns by very relatable characters.
Then, thinking afterwards, I realized some unexpected implications of my fanfiction’s premises. It’s not relevant to the chapters currently online, but... it sheds some future plot points in different (and darker) lights.
Now I think I’m going to sleep before it gets even sadder. At least it’s not about anything really important.

On this day, I have successfully graduated from Midland University with a degree in Computer Science and Arts Management. Despite the extra year to complete my degree, I am now graduated and will be moving on with my career in information technology. As of now, I am currently employed full-time and working on my Master's in Cyber Security and Information Assurance. It's been a long time coming, but there's a lot more for me to look forward to, with my path towards my Master's degree and my current career.
What does this mean for my video game? Well, nothing actually, because I will be continuing my work on my game in secrecy, due to the nature of my work. I will also be rewriting the entire game, since on a recent playthrough of my game, I was largely displeased with my old writing and decided to forego the old story and improve upon it, in many ways to avoid, what I consider, poor directing decisions, tropey-cliche-bullshit and way too much talking without gameplay for upwards to half an hour.

Chapter 25 of my Reborn story is out!
I get significantly more views for my story now. Looks like global lockdown somehow gives people more time to glance at stuff. I kind of wish I knew the proportion of people who actually read, but then again maybe I wouldn't like the result.
Also, I have a horrific idea for a Rejuv story. It's so bad it might be funny to plot out, maybe cathartic to write at some points, but perhaps not very entertaining to read. So I don't know if I'm going to pursue it.

But I'm afraid it wouldn't be the same thing, actually...
I thought of my Reborn story when I realized that a lot of protagonists I had read had a lot of certainties -- who they are, what they want, what they're going to do, why, how and how much they fight, the fact that they're (as per canon) outstanding Trainers. And I wanted to challenge all of that while still remaining in the framework of the Reborn story.
But that idea for Rejuv, it's not really about love (I've got a much more complicated relationship with the plot, I guess). It's more like... (warning, terrible metaphor ahead)
A blindfolded team that tries to thoroughly redecorate the ground floor of a skyscraper.
It may become something entirely different, and, well... it may collapse.
But I'll certainly be thinking on about this. If I think it holds, if I have enough time, maybe I'll give it a go.
