    Do you know which color the lake is supposed to be on Azurine Island in Reborn 18.4.1? I'm on my first visit, and it's blue. But in TTar's playthrough (for instance), and in my memory as well, it was always brown at that point... Am I mistaken or is there something wrong?

    Do you sometimes worry that your own stories will make you lose sleep? 

     

    I just wrote my protagonist into a pretty bad situation. It was planned a while ago, but funnily enough it’s more emotionally demanding than I thought. How am I going to sleep tonight? 
     

    But there’s actually a more fearsome question. He’s going to end up pretty quickly (after an emotional roller-coaster, doubtlessly) in even worse trouble – how will I manage to sleep then?

      I envy you... I'm never sleeping enough, because there's not enough time in the day to waste it on the Internet, write, and study at the same time...

    I'm about to go crazy now! I just found out, that my 14 year old cousin had messed up my Reborn files, which took me 3 hours to restore just only that one. And guess what?

     

    IT HAD TO BE MY FINISHED ONE, THAT COULDN'T MADE IT!😡😫

    Uuuhh... At least I'm currently now at Serra's Gym, but I'm currently grinding my mon army.... I just can't take this...

     

    All the hard work gone for nothing 😓

      That kind of stuff never happened to me, because I barely ever let anyone else interact unsupervised with my computer (precisely for this sort of reasons), so I can only imagine how extremely frustrating it must be, and sympathize with you. 

       

      Good luck on beating the game yet again.

    Finally, I have made it to the end of the current version of Desolation and... wow! May I say, what a way to end it for right now. It kind of sucks though because I feel so pumped up to fuck up Darkrai with some of the Gym Leaders and other trainers and now I have to wait. xD That's alright though. What a fantastic, fun game! If anyone hasn't played it yet, I'd HIGHLY recommend it. Now I can edit the last of the videos and get to work on my Desolation Written Story Run.

      I have played Reborn (and am replaying it in the run). But I got through due to luck, save scums, healing items spam, watching ahead, and some stubbornness.

      But I feel that most of Reborn’s battles aren’t as aggressive as Deso or Rejuv’s boss battles (given what I watched), so I’m wary of trying them out – and too proud to try casual mode instead. And don’t get me started on sidequest battles (in late Reborn, I’m quite struggling with them ; Rejuv and Deso seem to have the same but much earlier on). 
       

      Finally, I already struggle to find my way in a few Reborn maps (Wasteland, Route 1 forest, Sugiline, WTC for instance), and Deso has many more of them : the sewers, Blackview, everything between Ava’s “I write my own stories” and Addenfall, and so on...) 

       

      In a word, I suppose I don’t play Rejuvenation or Desolation out of cowardice. 😅

    Finally, I have made it to the end of the current version of Desolation and... wow! May I say, what a way to end it for right now.       I wholeheartedly agree. 

      Even though I've watched playthroughs instead of playing because I'm lazy, terrible at battles, and very easily lost in labyrinths. 😅

    I'm not sure what's more annoying (at least it's not tragic, just annoying) of my discoveries of tonight.

    1) I found out I hadn't actually proof-read my assignment a couple of hours before the deadline.

    2) I found on my computer updated versions that somehow weren't the ones I had submitted online.

    3) I realized I had about two hours of lectures to watch for tomorrow but I'd really rather sleep.

    4) I have an exam (for something different) in less than 48h and I still have barely studied for it.

    5) And there's also this math stuff (actually several different, rather unrelated "math stuffs)" to study and that it's (more accurately, each one is) impressively slow.

     

    ...

     

    (deep sigh)

     

    Well, back to studying it is. After all, there might be (real or imaginary) situations that are undeniably much worse.

      Honestly, it shouldn't be. It's only one evening's annoyance, and (worst case) a week's worry. I'm sure it's pretty common too. Even I've been pressed for time before, and now certainly isn't the worst situation I've been in study-wise. I guess I had just forgotten how it felt like.

      Except for 5), because at some point in the close future this will become my main activity and I'll learn to enjoy it.

      Edit: I just realized there was the drawback that I probably won't be writing as much -- all the less so since I usually take quite some time to get "in the flow" and even then writing is never a fast process. But I'll manage eventually.

    Everyone that's doing a Pokemon fanfic (let's be honest, that's what we're doing xD) with like Rejuv, Reborn or Deso, do you all start doing something for like the very beginning of the story and then all of a sudden, your mind goes "OMG! I know what to do 12 badges from now with this story!" but then you realize you're nowhere close to it and it frustrates you?... Or is that just me?

      Actually, I sort of think in the reverse way. I have one, or several ideas of what to do at key points of the game, and that motivates me (or not) to write the entire thing. Even so, it is frustrating to have to write the gap between the moment and the next Big Thing. 
      That’s why I’m wary of starting a Rejuv story (although I’m pretty sure my idea is original, I don’t think it would translate into significant differences before Blacksteeple or perhaps even Angie, and that really feels like a long way away).

    And tomorrow is it's (input number here) anniversary!

      I sort of remembered, in the back of my mind, that 1957 was Laika's year. But I never remembered Sputnik's date, nor that it was just one month before Laika. 

       

      That is, indeed, a day to celebrate. Although perhaps the 64th anniversary would be better.

    Announcement tiiiiiiime~

    So as many of you know, my Reborn and Rejuvenation Story Written Runs are on hold until the next updates come. Which is probably gonna be a while. And that probably makes some people sad. And it makes me sad too... Good thing when I get done completing the current version of Pokemon Desolation, I'll be doing a Story Written Run of that! I have no idea when it's gonna be but keep an eye out for "Pokemon Desolation: A Ranger's Quest" I'm hoping for sometime this month I'll be doing it. Also, there won't be any custom made sprites. I will be using 1 of the Desolation FEMALE sprites. So yea. Keep an eye out for that. 😄

     

    Btw, if any of you have a suggestion for a name for a Female Ranger (that's what she's gonna be), please tell me. I have 1 in mind but I'm not too sure I'm gonna use it.

      I'm really interested in reading that. I'll confess to not really seeing how you can make a protagonist who's about fear and disgust (that's also part of why I'm interested) but I trust your imagination.

      Note the subtlety in the language: you're telling Aurora that Nova *needs to be forgiven*. 

      So why on earth would Aurora even care about the needs of her hated enemy?

      You need to give Aurora an actual reason that she cares about to be able to save Nova. Normally it should stand out in the dialog options. If not... well, she sort of got it coming, didn't she?

      DelRad: Weirdness is in the eye of the beholder. So you may technically be right, depending on what's weird to you (but you're not being exactly specific).

      Evi Crystal: Nice ideas, but they're not what I had in mind (which wasn't important anyway, I just thought it would be a nice way to get the chapter some attention). I'm not sure you could call watching over the children as a Guardian a task one does during one's free time though.

That means more waiting buuuut I'm been kind of in a recording mood for the past couple of months and if I tried to force out a Story Written Run while I'm not in the mood to, it's just not gonna be good. So just in case some of you were wondering about that, there's your update. 😛

    Kinda ask you one question: Which is better? Fangames or Canon ones?

      Then again, consider this: 😀

      Canon Pokemon games are pink and nice and have so much potentiality but are rather bland when it comes to it. They're clearly Mew.

      Fangames (at least most of those I know) are optimized for better battles, they are far darker and edgier... even though they're organically based on canon games. They're clearly Mewtwo.
