  1. Once I got it, I ran a set with Whirlpool, Charm, Acid Armor and a filler move, usually Surf or Grass Knot. It worked pretty damn well against many physical attackers (specially the Regi fights at Amethyst Cave). Later on I agree with everyone here. Scald, Substitute, Whirlpool and a filler move seems like a sensible choice

why do we have to breed a new one

Because then you have to wait until level 63 or so to get Leaf Storm. Snivy gets it way earlier than Serperior does

  3. Y'all sleeping on Snivy. Once you beat Valarie you can breed another one and raise it to 43 to get an extremely broken early game sweeper. It gets Wring Out, Nature Power and Hidden Power too to alleviate its coverage problems

some kids were bitching about the content there so i took the joke down :(

You know? People always seem to complain about game developers not interacting with their audiences or dropping updates.

    Now I see why...

I'm not sure if this thread has been abandoned because I can see it's been a while since @Gastronely replied, but I'm wondering how you edited reborn without essentials.

I can't figure out how to access Reborn's Game.rxproj file without writing Reborn's assets over a Pokemon Essentials Master-copy. Even when I try to do that with the 19.1 Essentials version, I'm getting some compiletime issues. It looks like Reborn 18.4 either compiles using different syntax than Essentials does or somehow I'm doing something wrong copying over the files.

I don't think the issue is with the PBS file since I have fresh copies of both the most recent version of Reborn and the PBS files from the FAQ.

Let me know if you can help out. I'd really appreciate it.

Assuming you own a copy of RPGmakerXP, all you have to do is enter the directory that contains the Game.exe file, create a text document, type "RPGXP 1.05", and save it as Game.rxproj. Then open the file with RPG Maker XP. (Thanks, random Reddit post)

  6. Way too inconsistent, if you ask me. Even with Wide Lens, Hypnosis is not recommend on any serious set. Hex + Hypnosis is actually weaker than just using Shadow Ball 2 times. And most of the time, the opponent will just wake up and attack you anyway, so what's the point? I would recommend a standard Choice Specs set, with Shadow Ball, Thunderbolt/Dazzling Gleam/Focus Blast, Sludge Wave and Trick.

  7. That's because you can't. In order to actually edit the game, you first need to create a project file. Enter the directory that contains the Game.exe file, create a text document, type "RPGXP 1.05", and save it as Game.rxproj. Afterwards, you can open it with rpgmaker xp.

  8. Considering this game manages to absolutely demolish the idea of gender roles, I find it hard to believe there's a bias towards men in it. Every character in this game is flawed, and posseses the same amount of traits that you've described (stupid, hard headed and egoistic), which includes the female and non-binary ones. If it wasn't, we wouldn't have characters like Saki, Amber, Venam, Alice or even Melia. They're all stupid.

Also, what do you mean there's no development for the male characters (outside of Crawli and Erick, but they're not that important)? Every single major male character has gone through a fair bit amount of character development, most notably Ren, Adam, Damian, and even Texen! Yes, Rejuv's cast is predominantly female, so I can kinda understand why the male's character development seems to be less important, but that doesn't mean it doesn't exist, right?

  9. I think your best bet is giving Magcargo a Magical Seed, and using both Lava Plume and Fake Out on the first turn. Lava Plume changes the field to a Dimensional Field, and the Magical Seed immediately sets up Trick Room. After that, you can sweep with Solrock, Magcargo (duh), Magneton, Sheer Force Mawile, Grapploct or Throh
