Glad you're back, Derrog.

I'll have to politely disagree with you on the Empoleon front, Paperblade. What allows SD Empoleon to work is it's defensive typing, Water/Steel, which is one of the best in the game. This allows Empoleon to set up in front of more Pokemon than Bibarel. Furthermore, it's attempts to sweep arent stopped dead in their tracks by Intimidate because Empoleon gets Defiant.

really, an argument could be made for any starter.
Venusaur is more or less the metric by which all other Chlorophyll Pokemon are judged
Charizard has Bonkers damage whn properly supported by a team
Blastoise is a fantastic doubles support, and in gen 8 will arguably be the best Shell Smash user, even moreso if it can Mega EvolveMeganium has a fantastic early game, learning Razor Leaf Super early, and is amazing at keeping the party alive
Feraligatr has Sheer Force, so overwhelming amounts of physical damage
Typhlosion is quite similar to Charizard, but Eruption instead of HeatWave.Delet
Sceptile has Unburden, which is broken with seeds, but you have limited ammunition for that. it can outspeed Souta's Hawlucha with Seed, tho.
Blaziken is Blaziken. it's called "Uberchicken" for a damn good reason.
Swampert is....a Water/Ground? i'll be honest, it's probably the most aggressively mediocre of the starters
Torterra has a unique typing, and is the earliest learner of Earthquake in the game. also a solid choice lategame because Crest fixes most of the issues it's typing could have.
Infernape can be built in a number of ways, but most everyone seems to designate their starter as an attacker.
Empoleon bullies the game. Swords Dance at level 10, defiant, and Aqua Jet. so say nothing of the Power Trip set.
Serperior is just Contrary Leaf Storm. however, defensive and coil sets are viable.
Emboar can oneshot a lot of things. not quite spectacular, but gets the job done.
Samurott is one of very few natural learners of Swords Dance, much like Empoleon.
Chesnaught is physically tanky, but it's also kinda meh. Leech Seed+Spikey Shield is good, so is Bulk Up via level.
Delphox is...i'll be honest, it's kinda bad in my experience.
Greninja lives and dies by it's movepool. so, very strong lategame, but for earlygame, you're better off picking something else.
Decidueye is surprisingly good, just gotta keep sucker punch.
Incineroar is ugly, but some people like it, i guess
Primarina is a nuke. a bulky nuke. with excellent natural coverage. you can't really go wrong choosing Primarina.
Rillaboom (In gen 8). Grassy Surge. 'nuf said. even without that, it's got fantastic stat distribution.
Cinderace is basically Greninja without the earlygame problems.
Intelleon is somewhat unfortunate. a nightmare to fight on Water's Surface, though.

If it has stats, you can kill it.

What I mean by that, is that you'll likely start finding Intense Mode difficulty more and more fun the further you go. Afterwards, once you're done, you'd probably try finding other tough fangames to test your mettle.
-
eventually, you will get used to Intense Mode's difficulty, and begin craving more. it's a path that has been followed by myself, and many others.
-
You get used to it.
-
If there's anything we missed, don't be afraid to give a shout. there's only so much i can do with just Encounters.txt. in particular, Credit Prices for the Pokemon Available in Credit Shops would be helpful.

Arcanine. available nice and early in the game, amazing utility, and can be built in several different ways. my personal favorite being the Bulky Set. Intimidate for the Ability, 252 HP/ 252 Defense, Bold Nature, Leftovers, with Heat Wave, Morning Sun, Will o Wisp, and Fire Spin for the moves.

Hi guys. It's been a while since I've made a status update here, so I thought I'd go ahead and clear up a few things.
Most people know that I am based in NYC, the area that was hit hardest by the Corona virus. Unfortunately, I was not able to stay healthy
and contracted the disease (I live with an essential worker and I got it from them.) For the past few weeks I have been struggling with Covid,
but I can happily say that I'm in recovery now. I have been for a little while.
During this time, working on Rejuv has obviously been scarce. But I did not stop completely. I went on to take the opportunity of quarantine to visit past areas and continue polishing. I may never(and hopefully never, ever. Seriously, covid sucks.) get a chance where I have a lot of free time to do something like this. So I decided that it's probably in my best interest to work on things that don't require a lot of energy and focus. I have been working on things that were not planned.
If this is the case, why hasn't the Old Content section been updated? Everything that was done prior to quarantine was planned content. Now that I'm working on things I had not considered, I thought it would be inappropriate to consider this part of that progress bar. I could create a separate section for the content I'm working on now, but eh... Even now, the things I'm working on are still not considered planned. I'm just going where my energy wants me to. So for me to put out another progress bar may be pointless.
It's not much, but these are a few examples of what I've polished up.

There are many, many, MANY other things I have in store, but these are just a few things I wanted to show. Just to assure that things are still moving, albeit at a slow pace. But that's all I have to talk about for now. Please stay safe and have a wonderful day :).
Take as much time as you need. I'm a patient man.

When Angie makes her return.
Angie: You know MC, I never did read your entry on the information Cera gathered.
MC: Oh I have crippling depression that I cope with my enjoyment of Pokemon battles, bad jokes and love of science and machines, I genuinely worry I can’t truly connect with people and that my friends view me as a tool to be discarded once this crusade is over. I distract myself from my actual problems by joining on this little super adventure crusade in the vain hope I can feel something, maybe make a few friends and to forget the horrifying trauma I’ve been through such as my mother dying right in front of me, and constant attempts on my life. Hell I even died a couple of times. It’s been a very liberating experience actually.
Angie: ... Well way to take the fun out of saying the flaws of people and humiliating them.
Erin: “ Pats MC on the shoulder” We have so much to discuss.
Angie: Well lets see here, oh what about-
MC: I think Melia’s self pity is embarrassing and she’s a bit pompous.
Melia: What? Hey!
Erin: He’s got a point Sis.
Melia: Eehhh fair.
Angie: Damn you all! You people take out all the fun of being evil. I’m going back to my lair.
Cera: I thought your attempts were brilliant milady.
Angie: Don’t patronize me.
Alternately:
Angie:.......i may not be in any position to judge, but fuck, man, you need to get some help. -
PC: Begins crying after getting stomped on by Madame X
Madame X: Oh my God, you actually are crying!
PC: I'm not crying! i'm not!
Madame X: Honestly, now i just feel bad. normally i just shank whatever is in my way, but with you i've gotten a little bit attached. it's like putting down old Poke-yeller.
Aelita, in the distance: How is that a thing?!

3. Arcanine. simply a reliable and bulky Fire Type when i need it. Heat Wave, Will-o-Wisp, Morning Sun, Intimidate, Bold, Max Defense, and Leftovers means it can stall out a surprising number of physical threats.
2. Vileplume. this may seem odd, but this is because you can atually get Vileplume before you even head off to Goldenwood Forest. Level an Oddish to 20, give it a Rare Candy and the Leaf Stone you find in Gearen Park, and bam. Vileplume. this is notable because Vileplume doesn't learn any noteworthy moves for a while, and by the time the early game Vileplume falls off, you can just buy Leaf Stones if you want a better moveset on said Vileplume. but the niche here is that Vilplume just runs over everything in the Early Game with pure Base Stat Total.1. Meganium. a nice and bulky support mon. Dual Screens by level, aromatherapy, Heal Pulse, Leech Seed, and a key resist to Ground, which some teams sorely need. Meganium is simply a good Defensive Utility Pokemon, and only gets better once it gets it's crest, because that 20% Damage Reduction is very nice.

Did someone actually succeed in beating the game while doing the monotype run challenge (in hard mode of course). I'm genuinely curious, as that seems like a near-impossible task to achieve
there's a number of people who have, at this point. hell, i've already beaten two intense mode Monotype runs (Ice and Ghost), and am currently working on two more (Grass and Steel.)

You ever just get your ass saved by your arch nemesis? happens more often than you think!
Also, Paladins being angry as fuck is a very old trope. just look at Orlando Fuiroso, which is all about a Paladin who gets angry as fuck. like, hell, at one point, he gets so angry he breaks a freaking mountain with one swing of his sword!
so yeah, you'd 100% be the group's Paladin.

After much procrastination, the Novelization run is finally off the goddamn Bote. have a read, if you're into that. https://docs.google.com/document/d/1QBv4qYRtuAd7tyIoaEZPtx2fH9iPLQ91KlRNr1VYS0w/edit?usp=sharing

i did a thing. for my next run of Pokemon rejuvenation i decided to tackle my biggest challenge yet: Novelising the damn thing. yes, it's a waste of time. yes, i suck at writing. am i going to do it anyway? yes.
do not expect quality, do not expect regular updates, do not expect 100% accuracy. i'm in for this ride as much as you are. but, so far, i've gotten the intro bit down.

will it be possible to get the two broken mods back in the future, in an unbroken state? because i'll be honest, the "Set Wild Encounters" Mod kinda spoiled me with how it expedites Pokedex Completion
-
this may come out of left field, but is there an alternate timeline where everyone is living peacefully and having Slice of Life/Sticom hijinks, and the PC is basically the Kenny/"Lancer Died, you're not Human!" Recurring Joke?
-
speaking of mods, since Debug is dead, i have something of a request. would it be at all possible to implement Waynolt's EV Overflow Mod? i think that is a good trade off for people who want to have better IV's, but don't use debug for much else.

oooh, now that's a nice Earthquake! I can't entirely approve of Shuckle Abuse, though. Shuckle was how i cheesed past Solaris's Garchomp in my Bug Monotype, afterall! Sturdy+Power Split FTW!

Here is Earthquake and boy does it have a history it's been submitted and resubmitted quite a few times. If I remember correctly the move fissure was actually one of the attempts I submitted for earthquake. Hope all of you enjoy the gif and have a amazing day/night wherever you may be.

Well, i have a few questions here for the devs, if they'd so kindly answer!
1) What was the most frustrating thing to deal with during the development of a new version of Reborn?2) What is all of your favorite foods?
3) What is the favorite foods of all the main cast?
4) What pieces of Music (could be from any source) would be the Main PC's/The Interceptor's Theme?5) Out of sheer curiosity....was "Mr. Ren" Nastasia's Childhood Crush?
yes, i totally ship them6) Is the Tournament inspired by a Tournament arc from another videogam/anime/manga? (like the N1 Grand Prix from Megaman Battle Network 3)
Sorry for the little bombardment of questions, just wanted to ask a few questions that were nagging me at the back of my head.
