    icon shiny please 🙏

Back when i made these 3 years ago, Reborn didn't have shiny icons by default. That's why i never made any. You might want to ask on the sprite edits channel on the reborn discord server. Someone there might have the matching icons, as these are the default official Pokémon game shiny colors.

  2. If you unzip the downloaded file, there is a data folder, and a graphics folder. the contents of those go into the data folder and graphics folder of your reborn game folder.

There isn't really that much to show that it would require a video.

  3. As long as it is intended for the player to have these mons, there will likely be options to generate the new mons in Ep19 in the upcoming version of this mod. Don't expect to be able to obtain mons that you are not supposed to get by regular means though.

  4. So i assume you are playing Reborn Ep19, which is the full release of the game. First of all, the info you did manage to find WAS correct as of Ep18.

In Ep19 this NPC has been relocated to Rhodochrine Jungle. There is a large building in the jungle. The easiest way to get there is to first go to the little house where you could find an NPC who would heal your Pokémon during the third PULSE Tangrowth part of the story. From the small house you go south, take a turn left over the bridge and there should be a way a few steps to the north that leads to a big house. Inside you find your NPC that wants to trade one of his Mons for your Sunkern.

Here's a screenshot of the house where the NPC is located:

OH! i guess i must have missed it :o hmmm...im going to see if I can get it now :)

A quick reminder that after you enabled the unrealtime password, you need to adjust the unreal time settings through the options menu for it to work.

  6. There is no password like that. However, there is

    Spoiler

an NPC located in the Beryl Ward, south of the PokéMart, who asks for money if you talk to him. If you donate a total of 5.000$ to him, he gives you an item called "Magnetic Lure".

If you equip Magnetic Lure to the first Pokémon in your party, you are guaranteed to encounter only Pokémon that you haven't caught yet. However, i want to note that if you caught one of each Pokémon available at your current location, this effect will no longer apply, and thus you will encounter Pokémon as normal even with Magnetic Lure equipped.

Said NPC can be found as soon as you exit Rhodochrine Jungle after your battle against Ace (3rd PULSE Tangrowth). It is this NPC right here: image.thumb.png.dc12d2e26d987560b04a09867daa9b13.png

  7. If i remember correctly, one of the hard requirements, aside from story progress, is that you need to buy ALL the mons from that 7th Street vendor.

Correct me if i'm wrong, but that is how i remember it. I do know that you can get the Mega-Z ring a little earlier now, before Adrienn if i'm not mistaken, but other than that, everything else about the quest should stay the same as in EP18.

  8. Hi there, just a quick report on an attack animation playing in the wrong place. The move in question is, as the title says, Self-Destruct. If used by an opponents Pokémon, the attack animation plays where the opponents health bar is, and behind the bar, as you can see in the attached picture.

I've also done some messing around with the move on my own Voltorb, and at least when i tested it, the animation was playing in the proper place when my Pokémon used it, but always in the wrong place for opponents. Although there was one case where the wild Voltorb survived my Self-Destruct and then used its own Self-Destruct. Funny enough, at that single time the animation was in the right place for the opponent.

This occured in Reborn Version 19.16.

    ...PIMPnite, is that you?

Afraid not, but i know who that guy is. Watched some of his videos. And i have to admit we used some similar teams and strategies for trolling people.

Then again, crushing teams that consist only of legendary and pseudo legendary Pokémon, stuff that's considered UBER over at Smogon, that's actually no big deal, there's not even a trick to it. The strongest Pokémon hold no value if the player behind them lacks basic understanding of battle mechanics.

But with Reborn being Reborn, there is a high chance that there will be a lot of players who actually have legit shiny legendaries with a good nature and somewhat decent IV spreads. We will see whether there will be an online battle issue with powertripping players who still feel like they need to cheat their way to full shiny legendary perfect IV teams, despite the fact how easy it is to get a legit shiny legendary with decent stats.

  10. I have to agree on this one. Online functionality in official Pokémon games is, even to this day, a shitfest of clowns that throw around illegitimate cheatmons like it was some kind of black friday sale. Although i have to admit that i had lots of fun putting these kind of "players" into their place with my troll teams that were created to deal with legendary spammers and cheaters. But grinding toxic, salty kids into dust and then some gets old really fast, especially if there's too many of them.

And it get's even worse if you are part of one of these online battle discord communities where people meet to match up in online battles, for trading, and sometimes even to organize tournaments for fun. Nothing's more "fun" than having some literal 10 year olds screaming insults at you in their obnoxiously high pitched voices, calling you a hacker, while they're using OBVIOUSLY hacked legendary mons and still lose to teams made up of baby Pokémon.

I don't plan to change how the lockout is handled, I'll just ask people to try and be considerate.

That's good to know. I often find myself using sandbox for small things like getting a TM i missed when i passed through the area where it can be found, or getting the 3 TMs found at the arcade, because coin farming is a waste of time. Or grabbing an occasional evolution stone if i need one and don't want to go mining. Being locked out of online for good just for something like that would be unfair.

I see the point in lockouts if you spawn in an army of shiny, perfect IVs in all stats legendaries with the intent to use in online battles. There's already tons of people who'd do that in official Pokémon games.

… I’m blind. I downloaded the wrong thing altogether.

Let's be honest here, nobody can blame you for that. The most recent working version is not the one on the front page of this topic. It's somewhere around page 19 of the whole discussion.

And i guess it will stay that way until the relase of the currently work in progress official update for Ep19.

So yeah, that's that. While Amethyst and I do know it's absurdly easy to get around the existing internet blocks, it's more of a small effort to try and ask people to be considerate. We acknowledge we can't stop the dedicated enough to get around the checks, but we want to try and make things as fair for people as possible.

With that said, yeah, internet connectivity is staying locked in the next release of Sandbox. I apologize to anybody this may bother, but like I said, I want to try and keep things fair for people.

If Ame said so, it's fair game by all means. Do you keep the the lockout the way it is now, or are any changes planed? What i'm trying to ask is: if i remove the mod files from my game folder, will i be able to use online again on save files that i already used sandbox on?

  14. Still, it's kinda surprising how many people are still asking for features that were once parts of mods and that are now integrated into Ep19 either as default features, or at least as optional passwords.

Kinda makes the readme file pointless XD.

So I copied the sandbox data folder into my mods folder but nothing's happening, no option from the PC or anything. Am I meant to copy the whole sandbox download or is it something else?

Did you make sure to go to the PC at either Grand Hall or Agate Circus? Because in the current release, these are the only places that give you access to sandbox.

The "Max IVs" password also disables online play. And anybody tech-savvy enough can easily mitigate that. Because of this, I haven't decided what I'm doing yet in regards to online play, that's something I'll be bringing up with Amethyst probably to see what she says. If she's fine with me turning online play back on, then I will. If she asks me to keep it disabled, then I will.

Well, i really like the fact that you are putting this much thought into details like that. And i agree with you that it is a good idea to discuss this with Ame. She might be able to provide a good solution for this, especially considering factors like the "Max IVs" password, or people just debugging their way to perfect mons.

BTW, will this have online enabled, since Reborn is finished?

    1 hour ago, DerxwnaKapsyla said:

I'm not sure yet, because there's a lot of features in there that still provide a massive edge over non-sandbox players.

You do realize that with the currently available version of Sandbox Mode it is possible to enable online again by simply removing the mod from your game folder, which means if players were to create strong mons in sandbox and then remove the mod from the game folder, they could instantly use their strong mons in online battles or trade them around.

That being said, it makes no sense to keep the disabling of the online functionality in the mod, unless you also add in a way to permanently disable online on any save file that has used sandbox related features at least once.

Also, let's be honest here: There are enough people who'd simpy use debug mode to modify their Pokémon's stats to have all perfect IVs on all stats and teach them the best moves they could legally learn in Reborn (because if online servers detect mons that have illegal moves, you can't use those). So i think it comes around to pretty much the same if i were to just spawn in mons in Sandbox Mode, give them perfect IVs, and teach them all the best moves. So unless online servers also detect and lock out mons that have been tampered with in any way, even if "just" IVs were changed, i don't see a reason to deactivate online with Sandbox Mode installed.

It's getting a bit buried now, it'd be nice to update the OP even with the pseudo-fix unofficial one at this point just to prevent people from getting the OP version with the...one on...page 19ish? I am not sure what page its on now either actually...

Well, since there's going to be a completely new Ep19 full release version of this mod soon anyway, i think we'll just have to wait for that until the first post is updated XD

Any news on the current progress for the new Sandbox Mode, @DerxwnaKapsyla?

  19. Not sure what you did wrong, but i just started my game and tested it. It works for me, well, excluding the few features (like move tutors) that haven't been working properly since Ep19.

And i am absolutely sure that i am running the latest version, which at the time of this post is 19.14

Thanks for letting me know! I really appreciate that

You might want to note though that after you activated the unrealtime password, you still need to enable and configure your unrealtime settings through the options menu for it to work.

I walked right into that one as i assumed you would just use and configure it from the PokéGear, just like weathermod, which also used to be a part of this mod pack XD
