  1. I removed the link because I found a couple more mistakes that I didn't anticipate. One of the warp panels was supposed to be unusable (stepping on the warp panel takes you to Tullborn city and you can't return to either one of those two areas), and one of the control variables was accidently duplicated. Meaning the intended double battle of ICSW and Ceolis was completely skipped and waterfall wouldn't be obtained. I am currently playtesting at the moment to check for errors and to determine if those Pokémon battles are too hard or not. Sorry for the sudden deletion.

It's finally resolved! Warp panels now properly states that you can't use this until you progressed further in the story. Also, ICSW and Ceolis should show themselves the moment you entered Remodeled Cool Cave.

Also, here's a optional password implementation for Pokémon Spork if you like.

    prize.png

Forgot that the ability it has is Tough Claws.

  2. Maybe they did it, or the legendary Pokémon might have been in a random water area after a hard fought battle against its nemesis (which I will include on the next episode). While I might eventually run out of theme team ideas at the moment, there would at least be a moment where I might be able to come up with something (I thought of four so far, including that nemesis). I might have to watch some of Pimpnite’s theme team in WiFi battles.

Note: I noticed that Dragon Ascent is Special when it’s supposed to be a Physical Attack. No wonder why my hypothetical Aerodactyl did far less damage and had to replace it with Brave Bird.

  3. Episode 4 add-ons:

Detour Cool Cave with ice skating and battling several AI’s theme teams.

Remodeled Tullborn City and one legendary battle!

Expanded Ranger Base to go between three existing areas.

Tinder Mountain open house (no trainers yet on this area, though four entries with a team of Level 50s in trainers.txt might give you a clue).

  4. I’ll look for that. If I see it then I’ll delete it immediately.

Update: I don’t see the editor.exe program. And neither program is in your Spork 8 or my forest guardian side.

  5. I have not. That’s something that I didn’t tamper with.

Wait a minute! Is the editor.exe part of debug mode? Because if it is, I mean, the debug stuff that I did so far was setting metadata and testing trainer battles.

  6. The glowing gems are mostly for cosmetics as opposed to walking in a zigzag pattern. Dive is partially fixed due to changing from the surfing sprite to walking sprite underwater to get around the crash.

Also, for mysterious reasons, my EV distribution has vanished on the trainers.txt (it just ends like example...,Modest,31) (the ,,,,,0,0,0,0,0,0 part vanished), so I redid it. Luckily I didn’t have too much to fill in. But now I seem to be a bit paranoid of my computer, so I’ll have to duplicate Trainer.txt files. Must have something to do with Notepad itself, as they rarely delete some texts.

    1. Storage formatting: not that I know of.

    2. Careless deleting: highly unlikely as I made sure to save before closing.

    3. Virus attack: might be a possibility. I did download a YouTube video for mp4 to become mp3 and another screen popped up. Few seconds later says I got a virus attack, and I closed that screen immediately. Did a system scan on my computer and shows that nothing infected the PC.

I checked the zipped folder, I guess players get a lucky break of missing EV distributions since the only stats the AI invested in are only Max IVs, no EVs. But before that, as well as my recording, the AI trainers did get their EVs assigned. It definitely showed on one of the battles. A-Greninja lv34 Dark Pulse did around 76-88% to level 33 Staraptor, so it did the damage appropriately.

Update: forgot to factor in Life Orb. A-Greninja whose only invested stat is 31IV and no EV has Dark Pulse doing 79-96%. EVs aren’t assigned at all. 😞

  7. I’m gonna download Spork again to see the new Tinder Village! And I’m also looking forward to using Gen 8 Pokémon since I still haven’t play Sword & Shield.

    Episode 3 add-ons

    Ranger Base

    Tinder League (under construction)

    dive partially fixed

    added gift Pokemon: Eeveelutions

EV Pokemon breeders get several more color palettes!

  8. I’ve been pretty tired over the past couple days because of work related stuff. However, I do have some of my text saved on a notepad for PBS and evening purposes. I had created some theme teams to fill up trainers in Norall mountain and I even made the Elite Four and champion roster in advance (though you won’t be able to access Tinder league due to me intentionally blocking the path with rocks). I’m not too far from the goal, but there’s still a lot of work to put in, and I’m taking it steadily.

The only Pokémon I decided to change the stats so far is Greninja. It will change from 72/95/67/103/71/122 to 72/145/67/153/71/132, effectively identical stats to ash Greninja. Protean A-grenjnja will be a serious threat to watch out for in hypothetical competitive battling and I may put Greninja once in a while.

Edit: Episode 3 is now out.

  9. The meeting with Pandora inside a Research Institute in Norall City (text may subject to change, this is typed from notepad from an iPhone).

Pandora: Well, what do we have here? It’s been a long while.

Lime: It is a long while, and unfortunately we have a problem in our hands.

Pandora: Judging by your serious expression, I imagine that would be the case. Probably even more serious that what I’ve done before.

Lime: Oh yeah, even serious than yours!

Pandora: I have nothing to do currently, so I’ll hear your story.

Lime: Well, while I was patrolling Tinder Village and it’s surrounding areas, Celebi has been chased by two Mysterious figures. And they each have an Ultra Beast. We did encounter that surfboard dude and eventually he went through a portal after battling \PN.

    Pandora: Hmm...

Lime: I was wondering if you knew any of these people.

    Pandora:...

    ...

    ...

    ...

    ...

    ...

    Lime: ...

Pandora: Unfortunately, I don’t know them.

    Lime: Oh, that’s too bad.

Pandora: Indeed. It’s just...you can’t really know or find out who they actually are without them actually telling you.

    Lime: Ok.

Pandora: And another problem is that you mentioned about the portal. I did went outside a bit and saw what looked like a prism multi-colored portal, so maybe they came from that portal. In fact, they could be residing in Ultra Space where Ultra Beasts reside. Seems like Agne and DJ Ultra Beats aren’t the only ones possessing those respective Ultra Beasts.

Lime: So can they be actually tracked?

Pandora: Well, based on what I learned from Alola, Ultra Space is a realm that links with many other universes and dimensions. They can go to any region and even different timelines, so history can be changed! Because of that, those two...

    Lime: What about them?

Pandora: ...are under the radar. They’ll appear whenever they want and they probably won’t give in to your demands. You can’t even pinpoint where they are due to its flexibility of going through dimensions and universes other than Ceolis, Reborn, or even Aevium. So all you have to hope for is being outdoors at night to even have a chance to see that portal AND tracking them down yourselves.

Lime: That’s a lot to take in, thanks for all of that information.

Pandora: No problem. I also noticed both of you have went to significant lengths to explore from Tinder Village to Norall City. There’s another Ranger Base next to this facility, and I’ll enable the warp panel to warp between places without having to spend any more time backtracking. Unfortunately, the ability to fly is being compromised due to unknown reasons.

Lime: Thanks again. Warping is just as fun as well.

  10. You don't have to replace any of the existing TMs. You could go beyond 100 TMs and even make them unlimited usage. Based on Pokémon Rejuvenation, the TM count can go as high as TM114 Magma Drift.

And these are good color scheme sprites for Pokémon Breeders. Kinda reminds me of Smash Bros characters having several different color palette! But I'm not ready to use them yet.

  11.

Here's my recording of myself self-testing my adventure. I have not heard any inquiries regarding difficulties inside Branching Cave, so looks like it's a reasonable obstacle to pass. I also edited Staraptor's level up moveset to include Close Combat at Level 1 (1,CLOSECOMBAT,...) since I didn't see that move when using the move relearner. You'll definitely need a Fighting type move against some things! And also, something I found is that if you lose to Lime, you're transported to where you last healed instead of being in the shrine, but the text still keeps going (you still can progress Tinder Woods). Next, regarding Underwater sections, I'm gonna compromise the surfing sprite as having the walking sprite didn't cause a crash when pressing C. Walking underwater seems like unheard of, but the Sonic series games had all characters walk on water, so looks like there's a leeway!

Then there's actual EV revamping. I actually stumbled across a post from some forum and they showed how to actually modify the EVs in AI's Pokémon. I won't put the entire thing here, but it started like this:

    17.TPHPEV

    18.TPATKEV

    19.TPDEFEV

    20.TPSPEEV

    21.TPSPAEV

    22.TPSPDEV

Was testing the opponent's Level 20 Jolteon; it has 83 speed. Sent out a Pokémon with 82 or less speed. It finally outspeed my pokemon which means I set the script up correctly! Without additional lines, those AI Pokémon had there EVs randomized or fixed in a certain value. Eventful upload will have serious EV distributions as opposed to fixed value.

Finally in the actual spork, I noticed that if you lose to Emily at the beginning, the room and other rooms become the older version instead of green background. Exiting Virima Hotel and re-entering it back in will restore the green background.

  12. I might have to do a major revamping on Sylveon’s Level Up moveset. My mind is blown when it can learn Mystical Fire and Magical Leaf via TM in Sword/Shield. I’m eventually going to replace two of Sylveon’s Level Up moves.

Sylveon was already having 4MSS with calm mind, hyper voice, Shadow Ball, and Psyshock. But now, two more coverage moves are here.

  13. Glad you enjoyed it. I did notice I forgot to do felicia’s after battle text. And until I can eventually fix Dive errors, there won’t be much exploring to do. I might be able to do a small fix such as transfer player from room to room, but that may switch from the surfing sprite to walking sprite while underwater (but doesn’t crash if pressing C). And I think I can resurface.

Fortunately because of issues like this, Dive won’t be required yet (though that might subject to change). I’ll just focus more on several Pokémon battles than navigation.

If I were to nickname a male cyberse Sylveon, he’ll be called Yusaku.

  14. Episode 2 is out. Only fatal error I'm still resolving is being underwater, as pressing "C" will crash the game, so don't go underwater yet! Fences and signs can't stress enough!

Two major battles, several double battles, and two gift Pokémon. Was going to add the Eeveelutions, but that dive problem keeps me from continuing.

    • Thanks 1
  15. Branching Cave finally done! I still have to playtest from the beginning and maybe add some items as a souvenir and gift Pokémon here or there and episode 2 is pretty much set.

Meanwhile, I'm having trouble with Dive eventing

    Exception: RuntimeError

There's really no syntax errors on that one when I compared one of your dive events:

    Dive in Inoset Island, Kernel.pbTransferUnderwater(203,28,53)

  16. 1. I’ll try to find a fence sprite that blocks the player.

    2. I also noticed that and would edit the Dimension size of the map. I believe it’ll take 8 tiles (or 4 trees) to look realistic.

    3. And whoops, I forgot to slightly modify some of the after battle text.

Thanks for the feedback! I am still working on Branching Cave adding in multiple Double Battles. Branching Cave is filled with trainers using Pokémon that evolves into one of the multiple forms (I.e. Eevee, Poliwag, Wurmple, etc.)

As of this reply, it’s 6:11 PM on my time zone.

  17. So I noticed another Sylveon sprite which is used by Ceolis’s GlitchHop, and seeing that makes me want to recreate that Sylveon. I decided “How about a Sylveon who’s a Physical sweeper and a glass cannon?” This is what I thought about.

    Type: Fairy/Steel

    Ability: Tough Claws

    HP: 95

    Attack: 130

    Defense: 65

    Special Attack: 60

    Special Defense: 65

    Speed: 110

Various moves: Iron Head, Play Rough, Quick Attack, Swords Dance, Bite, Leaf Blade, Sacred Sword.

Yeah, pretty unusual moves. Sylveon won’t always hold its sword since I couldn’t edit the sprite without making it transparent, so I’ll let the level up moves do the talking. I might include that in the next upload to where the player’s house is at, so you can either choose the regular Sylveon or GlitchHop.

This fantasy idea was from one of my crossover fan arts: https://www.deviantart.com/chilup2007/art/Sylveon-x-Decode-Talker-crossover-819672595

  18. Also, if you happen to have both Pokémon Spork and this side game, it is important to change the name of your save file because for some reason, the same save is present in both games. If you try to use that file on the wrong game, an error will pop up. i.e. SporkForest save on original Spork, or Spork save on Spork Forest.

Anyways, this will be a hard game in terms of difficulty. Move relearner is here, nature changer via cassie is here, choice items and ideal TMs is here via PokeMart, EV training Pokémon Breeders are here. Seven trainer battles await! Nine available Pokémon to use!

    Vince's room 2F:

    Sylveon

    Staraptor

    Piplup

    Chikorita

    Braixen

    Emolga

    Popstar Lounge:

    Ludicolo

    Arcanine

    Clefable

  19. After looking at some trainer sprites, I might add some more trainers on post game:

    Popstar Frank:

    Arcanine

    Mega Charizard Y

    Darmanitan

    Volcarona

    Chandelure

    Magmortar

    Popstar Sierran:

    Clefable

    Mega Gardevoir

    Sylveon

    Azumarill

    Florges

    Mawile

    Popstar Spade

    Ludicolo

Mega Alakazam (his idol outfit retains the Psychic trainer class)

    Greninja

    Poliwrath

    Starmie

    Slowking

    Ace Trainer Vince

    Sylveon

    Lucario

    Mega Salamence

    Staraptor

    Greninja

    Cofagrigus

Whether I would implement additional trainers depends on how far I am with the project....and I still got ways to go.

  20. Glad you are overjoyed. Spork is perhaps one of the friendliest Pokémon game I’ve ever played.

Oh, and looking at your recent post from the main Spork page 78, I previously did get stuck on that Vespiquen event, but much later on, I wasn’t stuck anymore when I tried again. I then proceed to get Mesprit by climbing the waterfall.

And I finally registered myself to Mediafire. I’m still waiting until the Sword & Shield craze slowly fades away, and then I’ll upload.
