No new chapter ATM. (Though at this point is not so much of forest related stuff since the Celebi arc is already over with).
-Fixed an eventing issue where Lime couldn't be found in Tinder Village shortly after having a conversation with Pandora in Research Institute of Norall City. When I was remodeling Tinder Village and it's surroundings, that crucial event that I've previously made...didn't get carried over. And if you just barely started your adventure, you would have ended with the "barrier" still blocking the player because Lime wasn't there at all. I added her back in, so you should be able to proceed.
Other than that careless issue, I...
-Made 30+ battlebacks which may or may not be used depending on the area that you're at.
-Made player back sprites akin to Reborn and Rejuvenation. (Five sprites for each player character as they're sending out their first Pokémon).
-Added Dark Candy in Pokémon Marts as I somehow finally got it to work (it lowers your Pokémon's levels by one).
-Which in turn re-enabled level caps as overlevelling may cause your Pokémon to disobey.
-Added Gift Cinccino at the top left corner of Aliora Meadow.
Stuff I might eventually do:
-I founded a theme team...but would take around 15 trainers to cover the long list that I have. The theme team that I use is based on version exclusives Pokémon (like how certain Pokémon appear on FireRed and others on LeafGreen, just to name a few). I will be putting such trainers on Aliora City and Aliora Meadow, so I must position them carefully to make players battle each and every single one of them.
-Redesign intro1 with a warning pertaining to flashing effects.
-(EDIT ADDED) I learned how to implement encounters, so I’ll be giving you Poke Balls on the next reupload! The gift Pokemon are still there, but I’ll make it a requirement so that you can enter a certain area (can’t tell you what it is yet).
Other notes: I noticed that when you get certain badges, your stats are increased by 10%. This badge stat boost feature existed during RBY until RSE. DP onwards no longer give you the 10% boost. Apparently essentials still has the stat boost feature, so that could give you an edge in battles. It's like you have a beneficial stat of every nature! I'll let you enjoy the boosts for now as I set the badge requirement to zero, so already you got the 10% boosts in all stats (Atk, Def, SpA, SpD, and Spe).
That's pretty much all I have to mention for now.

23 more battlebacks today!

Episode 1. I'm so happy with the back sprites and some of the battlebacks, it runs pretty smoothly!

It has been quite a delay, but I had to take care of what I had in my mind and I finally let it all out...at least for now so that I can concentrate on something else. So the team I have seemed unusual, but if you looked at the list of Pokémon that can learn Moonblast by leveling up, tutor moves, or egg moves, those six that I'm about to use are capable of learning that move. So obviously, Moonblast will be the only attacking move of choice, and the other three moves can be used for setting up. Stuff like inflicting status conditions, raising stats during battle, or even healing. On a side note, Moonblast's attacking animation has BOTH flashes and messing up someone's ears if they were to wear headphones, so I myself should play with my lights on just in case. But besides that, I am looking forward to have another adventure. The latest Spork 8 upload had major map revamps up to Cool Cave, so I might get stuck for a little while. For the most part, exploration is key, and I'll see what I can find there. That's about it for now.

Not a forest guardian related post still, but I've made more backgrounds, this time with three 3D Forest/Field/water surfaces for day, evening, and night as well as Spade back sprite finally done.

And there's the recorded epilogue. This is one of the very few battles which I've struggled, but it worked out in the end. Going up against a full team of Ultra Beasts needs some careful thinking, though I couldn't control the ally.
U.Necrozma’s base stats are 250/250/250/250/250/250.

Upon seeing Jan's various 3D and detailed battlebacks for several forest scenery, I decided to make a battleback that is another variation of Indoors for Spork 8 (yeah, yeah, no forest guardian stuff still).
Behold!

This battleback is called Residential and it resembles many rooms inside Virima Hotel! Granted, the existing Inverse Field did have some sort of 3D stuff while the rest is 2D.
Since the dimension size for battlebacks are 512x288, if you don't want to interfere with the oval base, then I believe that the most you can do in the background can be up to ###x144.

There will be a re-upload to add, fix, or correct certain things.
-I'll add a situation where you must find Lime before you go to the meadow. I realize that players can still go to the forest first before talking to Lime, creating timeline issues.
-PokeMart in Aliora City will have X items that boost a stat by six stages.
-I've made two of the player back sprites similar to other fan games. I still gotta work on Spade next, but my wrist needs to be refreshed as I spent a long session in Paint software.
-
Not Forest Guardian, but Spork 8! Extended to have custom Elite Four rooms to appropriately match the setting based on trainer's type preference plus the Champion room to be more serene. Cyberse Sylveon is NOT in Spork 8, however. I just added data to the existing file (number 855 on Pokémon.txt, front/back/icon sprite).
I still don't get Golisopod's Emergency Exit. It used two first impressions in one turn to KO my Staraptor back in Forest Guardian (one from Golisopod and one from Escavalier).

This recording happened BEFORE the sprite edits. As such, GlitchHop's sprite is still there. But maybe when I record more stuff, it's gonna have the new sprite.
By the way, I haven't updated the Pokémon Mart in Aliora City, so you still might see Poke Balls. That will eventually be changed to other items and TMs.
Also, I noticed that on the icons folder, I saw the entire Galar sprites, so the created Sylveon would be moved to around number 890+ and so is Ultra Necrozma after that.
But for the most part, I am ready for another adventure. Or I would be; I still gotta finish Pokémon Reborn. Only got to record the Glass Workstation Gauntlet, Solaris, and Hardy. I already got Titania and Amaria recorded, just gotta put it in Adobe Elements 14.
-
Rushed epilogue. There would be several passibility errors in the Meadow and being unable to surf in Aliora City and Aliora Meadow (not that it matters much), but other than that, I've only got two double battles on this section.
Also, I no longer rely on GlitchHop's sprites as I finally took the time to recreate my ideal sprite, which will supersede previous sprites.

I believe taking out the “Exit Event Procesing” lime would allow you to continue even if you lose. It worked on Emily at the beginning.
I realized that both Charizards had the same nickname. I guess one way to put it is that I bred another Charmander and gave it to him.
I’m also surprised that I nailed on Spade’s personality. Xe (trying time remember how non-binary Adrienne is called) really is a Psychic!I thought that tile would block Water. Looks like I’ve gotta put rocks in for future.
Anyhow, it’s been a awesome ride of doing a project, and you helped me locate errors that I can fix. This would not have been possible without determination and guidance.
Feel free to use any of the new Tinder maps I’ve made or Mt. Steam for your Spork 8 if you wish.

Episode 7 - The Peak of Excellence is finished. Before you update, do not save in various areas with Tinder in it's name due to area remodeling. Perhaps the safest place to save is inside Pokémon Center.
Areas you should NOT save at:
Tinder Village
Tinder Forest
Tinder Woods
Tinder Mountain (E4 rooms)
Tullborn City (due to 2x2 green trees replaced with 3x3 pink trees)
Only five trainers left to battle. If you chose/grind your Pokémon wisely throughout this entire adventure, then it shouldn’t be too hard to defeat......or is it?

Two parts to this episode. This gauntlet was recorded before the level increase as I felt it was still too easy.
The next reupload is gonna have Tinder Village and it’s surroundings remodeled based on what I saw in the recent Spork reupload. Because of that, Tinder Connection was added as a path between the city and the mountain. I did have to remove the mountain tile from the top right corner of Tinder Village, however, but the mountain is intact, albeit on another map.
I just have to finalize the five trainers and add rematches of major characters and it’ll be finally done.
...
Whether or not the wiki updates with this side project remains to be seen, but it’s up to her to decide that.

Oh, yes. The Oddish line actually learned Moonblast via Level up since Sun & Moon.
As for the new Tinder Village that I saw, I removed the mountain part from the top right corner and added even more trees. Also made another area called Tinder Connection, which is between Tinder Mountain and Tinder Village. It’s also where the player’s house and the small Ranger Base is at. Well done on those tile sets! The only cost is that the mansion is replaced with a cabin. And the player’s room is on the basement instead of upstairs. And I haven’t figured out how to implement Dark Candy.
And no shedinja means I won’t rely on couple moves to get around this obstacle. Thanks for the heads up!

Episode 5 - Venting Heat recording.
Different save because I’m banking my entire adventure without using Lucky Egg, which I did in my previous file, which threw off the difficulty.
I also might start another adventure (would be my 4th one) of Pokémon Spork due to map revamps, making it pretty new for me to explore. However, the theme team I’ll use for this new adventure is Pokemon using only the move Moonblast. I would probably call this adventure “Moonblast only run”. Zacian/Zamazenta (not available yet, and even if it were, their Special Attack stat is not good enough), Vileplume/Bellossom, Muk, and Sylveon are examples of those that naturally learns this move.
Obviously there’s going to be status moves that can disrupt the opponent like Sleep Powder, etc. and moves to improve itself like Calm Mind, Wish/Moonlight. But Moonblast will only be the attacking move I would use and none other. While Fire/Steel/Poison resists Fairy, none is immune to it (unless there’s Shedinja of course). Yeah...Toxic is pretty mandatory for this planned adventure.
Again, that mostly me thinking about it. I may or may not put my plan into fruition.
Lastly, I wonder if there’s gonna be a item like Rare Candy that actually lowers a Pokémon’s level by one...

Pretty much only one PSA, and that is to not step into a certain time before you go inside Team Portal HQ. ICSW actually posted a picture on the second page of this topic. There are other passability tiles but other than that...you’re good to go!
Episode 6 - Fact or Fiction has several battles that take place inside the HQ: Eight simulators, the mysterious duo, and a four battle gauntlet.
1. VS ICSW & Ceolis
2. VS Lime
3. VS Felicia & Delicia
4. VS Bonnie & Vince
Your team will be healed between battles, and the only thing that matters in this gauntlet is which Pokemon(s) (First & second slot) you’ll send out for four battles straight.
There won’t be a re-upload anytime soon because I think the PSA is sufficient warning for what would happen otherwise. Besides, I have yet to look at new maps, and Tinder Village needs major remodeling due to revamps.
Aegislash is the only gift poke ball in this episode, and it’s in Yellow Sea, which has a Sylveon drawing. Garchomp’s Poke Ball is moved to the captain in Tullborn City. I did fix another event problem regarding Kyogre, or that battle would’ve been skipped completely if you talked to the captain again.
I recorded my adventure but have yet to upload. However, after recording, I feel that my gauntlet run during testing was a little too easy, so I increased several Pokémon by one or two levels.
-
Ok, now I spot my error. There’s only one of two things I can do:
1. I could edit to fix the variable and do a reupload, or
2. let players know not to go to that particular tile.
If players went into that cutscene first without exploring the entire Team Portal HQ, their team will be underleveled because the next set of trainers have a team of level 50s.
-
There’s several passability issues that I don’t think I’ll be able to fix, one that is “this building” in Mt. Steam and walking on Yellow Sea shortly after you exit Party City. Also, I don’t recall triggering that conversation before entering the building, so I might have to double check on that event as it was supposed to happen after you defeat the 4-battle gauntlet. I’m pretty sure the variable is “gauntletbeaten” 1 or above, but I’ll double check once I get home from work.
Is there any way you didn’t save the game so that you can avoid that particular tile outside Party City (or undo switches/variables)? Because after that long convo, it takes you to player’s house.

Episode 6 is now out.

“Episode 6 - Fact or Fiction” is going to take a while because of playtesting. I had to restart my adventure from scratch because my other file had some of my Pokémon benefitting from Lucky Eggs which messed up the level difficulty of what’s been intended, so my other file that I’m currently in now opted not to use Lucky Egg. My anxiety is slightly rising on the gauntlet that I’ve created because I’m not sure if I put in enough trainers to give you EXP (still working on it, though). Four consecutive battles without saving in between, so the first two Pokémon that you’ll send out will matter for all 4 battles. Your entire team would be healed between dialogues though.

Oops, I didn’t spot that part even after I placed rocks to cover that other area. I’ll do that on the next upload. Thanks!
Also, I’m thinking very hard about how there’s 111 Pokémon. Maybe AI trainers count as entry?
Also, your revamped Norall City is far beautiful with the help of additional tiles from another fan game. Nice work!

Procrastinated for more than one week due to being tired every night between Christmas to New Years, but I do have the energy to continue wrapping up this episode.
"After dealing with Kyogre, the player and Lime were ready to set sail to Party City, except there's another one of those titanic Pokémon that governs the land and interfere with our progress once more. Can they subdue it just like they did with Kyogre? The only way to find out is going through a rematch, 6 more thematic trainers, and another legendary battle who got it's own team of six including itself. Two more gift Pokémon join your team in hopes of dealing with this beast. Good luck!"

Hi everyone, hope you had a good Christmas holiday.
I’ve been thinking a lot about not only episode 5 but also the entire project. For the most part, it me mentioning that there will be NO wild Pokémon at all. The reason for that is that any player can simply KO wild Pokémon for EXP, and the entire team will be at maximum level of 50 and stampede the entire game. However, a player may intentionally lose a trainer battle to just get EXP; simply defeat 5 of the 6 Pokémon and intentionally use a non attacking move and wait for your opponent to eventually finish your entire team off.
Should you put all eggs in one basket or distribute it to others?
Putting all EXP in a single Pokémon would definitely give you level advantage to handle anything you want, but when it comes to Pokémon that you can’t handle (because they counter your only overleveled Pokémon), then you find yourself difficult to go any further. If you distribute EXP to other team members, you have more viable options if your other teammates are having trouble. However, because there’s no wild Pokémon, and there are finite amount of trainers, there’s only so much EXP you can gain. Realistically, you can’t get every single gift Pokemon I left behind to be on par against AI’s Pokémon. I raised just six Pokémon and it barely or slightly below par against opponent’s.
And then comes episode 5. Remember when you had to face Primal Kyogre? Well, the next one is gonna be its nemesis, Primal Groudon! How do you even counter a level 45 Primal Groudon?! A Fire/Ground Type with BST of 770 is supposed to be 4x weak to Water, but it’s extremely harsh sunlight makes water moves useless, leaving only its 2x weakness to Ground moves to exploit. Not even Yusaku the mighty Sylveon Swordsmen can handle Groudon! That’s easier said than done, so I’m gonna make some changes.
Branching Cave: Gabite replaced with Gliscor.
Garchomp Level 40 and it’s mega Stone will be added next episode.
And lucky egg will be a purchasable item in Norall City.
With those changes and two added counters, I hope that this legendary Pokémon will be bearable to deal with. That’s pretty much it regarding my two cents.
Anyways, here's my adventure of Episode 4 - Sailing Problems!

Side Project: Spork Adventure

Not sure if I would call it a graphical update. It’s mostly drawing custom made battlebacks from scratch via Paint and save under the same file name for those battlebacks.
