My sister is playing Rejuvenation for the first time and she's coming up to the Valor Mountain battle very soon. I remember in all my playthroughs having serious trouble with the double battle no matter what I tried and was wondering if there are some Pokemon I may not have thought to use you guys could recommend as being particularly helpful.
One thing I read recently was that bounce changes the field to a sky field; is this true, and if so is it a worthwhile strategy to use? Or was there an MVP or two you would absolutely recommend for the battle?
She's playing on the Reborn style difficulty if that helps :)

Oh no; I could have sworn autosave was turned off
rip
EDIT: Nope; auto save wasn't on. Guess it's just a terrible place to save XD Luckily there were backup saves of just a minute or 2 before so all good

If it's any help you can simply fight him again if you lose the battle.
That's interesting; I didn't know that, thank you.
However, it's not actually my save file; it's my sister's game but I channel my inner daycare lady to train her Pokemon sometimes because she plays for story and is pretty busy
I'm fairly certain she won't want me to lose for her so hopefully she's got an older backup that's not super old XD

Hello,
I've got a save file which was saved in between Narcissa and Mosely and now I can't go backwards without the main character running forward and instantly starting the battle:
I can move down one step and then move into the grass, but once I touch the stairs MC decides it's battle time and I'm forced into a battle I don't think can be won right now.
Any chance this is fixable or will I need to use a backup save file? I've played this game many times and I've never had this kind of issue before; either I can run back any time after saving near a boss or if I can't it put me into the battle straight away without letting me save so it wouldn't be an issue anyway.
Thank you for any help

Ah, that makes sense; thank you

Hello,
I have a question about changing the custom controls; my sister changed the controls of the arrow keys to WASD because that's what she's used to from other games. But then when nicknaming a Pokemon she realised that she couldn't use the letter A or D. I was just wondering why A and D can't be used but W and D can? I would understand if all 4 of those keys can't be used because they're bound to important keys, but 2 of them work and 2 of them don't so I'm a little confused. Can someone explain why A and D can't be used when typing nicknames but W and D can?
I expect she'll probably change the key bindings back to arrows for directions but I was curious how it worked

Thank you both! I'll have her check the starting menu just in case

Hello,
So my sister is going to be downloading Rejuvenation and starting it for the first time (
) and I just wanted to check something. Does the download here include patches? Or will she need to download the patch in the V12 forum post?
I'm ridiculously excited for her to play it and I want it to go as smoothly as possible hehe!

This looks really fun!
Those screenshots are very enticing; now I'm debating with myself as to whether or not to try it out now or wait until the next episode is out...
Just wondering, is there a speed up button?

I'm playing Where Love Lies for the first time, and I used my itemfinder which tells me there is a hidden item around here:

I've tried to get this hidden item from standing on all sorts of tiles and directions but I can't seem to grab it. Just wondering what I'm missing? Unless it's a bug, but I doubt that because Where Love Lies has been out for awhile and I downloaded what I'm assuming is the latest thing.
I'm pretty sure it's the worker's ID; I have tried talking to him and to that guy who says he'll give a free Pokemon to workers with IDs. Is there something else I'm missing? I've never not been able to find a hidden item that's underfoot so this is a bit embarrassing
Edit: Nevermind, I realised I had to speak to the guy with the lost ID again!

Hello,
I'm stuck in B3 of the Zorrialyn labyrinth; I can see in a map someone made that there is a dive spot but I can't seem to figure out how to open the door to get there. Can anyone please help me?
Edit: Nevermind, I found the sign I needed to interact with

Thank you both very much!

I saw someone reference a choice where the player can get involved with:
Spoilerwhether Karrina kills Karen
and I have no idea what this is referring to. I thought I knew about every sidequest but I clearly missed this one. I finished the main story in V12 so I don't need to worry about spoilers. Could someone please help me with starting this sidequest? It sounds interesting

Just now, Display name said:
If your pokemon are at the level cap you won't get anymore EV gains hope that helps
Oh! Thank you, that explains a lot! I guess I never EV trained any Pokemon that were already high levelled in my last save.
-
I could have sworn I was up to date, but I guess a new patch came out since I last played, ty for the info.
How can I check which patches I have installed/how to check if I am up to date?
edit: Oh wait, I think I remember seeing a version in the title screen, nevermind!

I'm a little confused because I thought I got the basics of EV training Pokemon, but I noticed that after using berries to get rid of unwanted EVs on one of my Pokemon they hadn't gained any new ones in the stat I wanted when I was training. I'm probably missing something super obvious, but can anyone explain what stops a Pokemon from gaining EVs when they don't have them maxed out?
-
Hi,
I had a look through bugs in troubleshooting but didn't find anything about this; apologies if I missed something obvious!
I unlocked the house on the snowy hill where you can interact with Trapinch but when I saw yes to it joining I get an error message and the game crashes. I'm pretty sure I'm updated to the latest patch but is there a way to check? I'm replaying after the last episode update to get different storylines and I definitely didn't have this issue in my last save file.
Any help would be greatly appreciated

Love how it looks! Would also love to play it, but seem to have trouble unzipping the file. Is this happening to anyone else?
What are you unzipping with? This is the first time I hadn't been able to extract a Pokemon fangame with the standard windows extract. I was told in Daybreak's discord to use something like 7zip or winrar. Personally I used peazip as I had it on my computer already but I'm not sure if that's as good, I just know it worked for me

I had the same reaction. Going in, I expected it to be sort of like Reborn or Rejuv. It's way easier and I flew through it.
Oh, so I probably didn't need to soft reset for a starter?
Whoops...

13 hours ago, Mizzy said:
It was 14 hours for me, and I've been developing this game for 2 years. I can practically guarantee the game definitely lasts more than 14 hours, but 14 is the bare minimum
Ah, I'm glad to know I have quite a bit of gameplay to enjoy then
I think I might take longer than average in Pokemon because I love to explore as much as I possibly can and I don't want to miss anything, so maybe my concept of how long it takes is just skewed
-
Wow, this looks fun!
Thank you for sharing!
Question, when you talk about the hours of gameplay excluding battle island and post game, does that mean this download has everything up to a post game? I'm confused because 14 hours doesn't sound like 10 gyms to me, but I might not be understanding you right

Thanks for confirming!

I have some questions about the pickup mechanic in Rejuvenation as of the current version. First, is it possible for it to activate after a wild battle? And second, will it only activate if you defeat a pokemon? As in running quickly away won't ever net you an item? Thank you
-
Hello,
Is there a quicksave button? I played some of the previous episode and I could have sworn there was one but I might be mixing the game up with another
Some good Pokemon to breed/train for the dreaded mountaintop battle? (spoilers)

Ooh, thanks so much for all the helpful tips! :D I appreciate you giving me more to consider for this field and the opponents. Maybe it won't even be as bad as I remember it if Melia has indeed been made more useful XD
EDIT: Woohoo, she beat it second try :D First was just her checking out the Pokemon and then she went with a bounce strategy using Mantine and tailwind using Talonflame. Vaporeon was a random pick in her team but it was MVP for moxie gyarados because muddy water lowered its accuracy several times. Thanks again for the suggestions! I love seeing how many different strategies are used in this game :D
