So Touhou 17.5 was announced........as an action platformer. Definitely a surprise there, since it's by the same group that's been making the official fighting (side)games. And one of the two screenshots show Kogasa, so double meta surprise there.

From the other screencap (below), I assume we are getting the usual Reimu/Marisa, though it would be nice to get NEW playable characters in the mix. God, I wish it was Kogasa. Synopsis translation:
"Black water gushed out onto the surface. The water released an odd odour and was hard to get off once it's stuck to your body. It was not something that you could use as your everyday water.
Some saw the gushing water as misfortune, some as good fortune; some saw it as holy, while others as evil; some saw it as a natural disaster, some saw it as a business opportunity, various theories were tossed around. Some even started a festival and made a fuss.
But when the people thought it was over, it still floated above the water and put a strain on the people. Atop the drinking water, the beautiful streams, hot springs at rest spots...... Regardless of the location, the black water gushed out."
So, Oil fairy confirmed for Clownpiece's new buddy/rival.

I'm trying to decide where my new profile pic should be the Aki sisters again (because Autumn) or the Three Fairies of Light (because their manga recently ened.......unless ZUN brings it back for another segment a forth time).

Now to find a way to find something with all three of them that will actually fit in the bounds of the square without looking horrible. I'm going to play with this one later to see if it could work after some trimming/resizing. Probably will have to got with another instead of a video game screenshot but oh well

oh man, I'm playing Rejuvenation rn and there are SO MANY pokemon I'd like to use. It's so hard to pick just 6!
I mean, I've got Vikavolt, a female combee I could train, a Vivillion that I'll have to let go of soon, a prankster volbeat......and that's just the bug types!

If you choose to get the EXP-all eventually, just six mons will definitely be at the level cap again in a few battles. You definitely aren't too spoiled for choice after the first gym, even knowing better mons are on the horizon.
I used Medicham and Vivillion until the end of Ep 10's story (in my first save which stopped in Ep10) with Medicham being the main MVP of that file, and D-Lycanroc is one of my most consistently performing Pokemon in my Ep 11/12 save, so it's perfectly possible to be keeping them for quite a while.

I haven't really been active this past week or so outside of a few trades, to the point I just noticed that I never even put anything for the final stage of Fantasy Maiden Wars: Dream. I'm just going to post a few random things, and then the attack animations and music like I did for the last two important ones. There are also the three bonus stages, but I didn't really take screenshots since there was nothing really noteworthy.
I don't know what most of the stuff here is, but Marisa finally broke the 40k damage barrier sometime in the last stage (though I missed a screenshot) and Meeko hit one my units for a lot last stage.

I, of course, had Shizuha and Minoriko 'the not forgotten' Aki finish off the final boss with the power of Autumn! Not the best screenshots, but they'll do

They did a nice shot of PoFV's 'incident' though it's a bit strange ending on it.

They really flexed their animation budget on a few of these attack animations.
SpoilerThe normal BMG for the last stage. Very fittingly, it's a remix of "Children's Festival ~ Innocent Treasures" which ZUN usually calls his theme and is usually noted to sound very 'finale-worthy'.
SpoilerFinal Boss' original theme. The limited vocals makes the song stand out from every other FMW song. Very dreamy.
SpoilerIn true SRW fashion, the theme that overrides everything in the last portion of the last stage is a remix of the title screen song (though sadly Sanbando can't afford Jam Project).

Also worth commenting here: there is also the new (soon to be released) Touhou Cannonball, a gatcha-esque fangame
(though with ZUN's explicit permission given the nature of the game). Possible conflicted feelings about the nature and the Voice casting for some aside, it's got a STELLAR opening animation that doesn't solely rely on old character popularity so that great........and I can't be mad with this shot (opening and other screenshots below this GIF)

The sheep was much easier to defeat than the flower, which is totally fair since Yuuka is Yuuka. I will be hearing Meeko's theme in my dreams tonight, since it played for most of the stage. Which brings up one of the best spell card names in Touhou (canon or fanmade):

I've gotten tired of seeing these two words over the past day and a half. I knew Yuuka's fight was BS incarnate from reading the translation LP, but wow did they bump it up on Hard mode; is it even possible on Lunatic? After a bad first try, this time I'm just taking out her first and last health bars.....the rest I'll just time out.
Bunshin- basically autododge; Yuuka's rate is 50% here

I just want two vengeful spirits with daikon raddish tails. If we aren't getting the Makai residents back, Mima alone will do.Speaking of the taoists, EX boss's theme apparently fully translates to "PRINCE SHOTOKU'S PEGASUS ~ dark pegasus". I wonder if that means she's the spirit of Miko's horse sent to Hell centuries ago

Noone thought it was actually Aya, though another crow Tengu (or maybe Hell Crow) wouldn't have been completely off the table. But the 'Cowboy Aya' meme was real for a short time at least
Come to think of it, someone called months ago we would probably be getting a horse Touhou soon. Guess they were right.

I'm not really sure. I've heard some people say she looks more turtle-like. Considering how high in status other mentioned dragons in Touhou are, I can't fully say she's one........though the comparisons to Tohru are too funny to not point out.
Same with if the EX boss is actually a bird youkai or something else visually similar.
Dentists are just sculptors for teeth, so that should still apply
