reminds me of a situation we were in somewhere last year. note that your situation is a bit worse:

we were gonna change internet and TV providers. my dad was on the phone a few days before that they had to come around at least 5 PM. damn installer never even showed up, so my father was on the line with the company for about 1.5 to 2 hours complaining. turns out the installer said that he did show up, yet he forgot to leave a note about how he showed up. completely shut off for a week because that fuck wanted an early weekend.

things like that are a joke aren't they, especially when they don't leave a note

the thing that's annoyed me so much is I have two kids, youngest is two and currently poorly sick, I'm tearing my hair out with stress :/
