Thanks @Commander! I'm sure I'll have questions. I've heard for years how good the series is but have always been somewhat intimidated by it's grandiose scale. The first game was only $9.99 today and I just recently won a $10 gift card so it seemed like it was meant to be, haha.

I think my only real issue with them is that we don't have all the pieces so there's no way to put the "originals" together as well. I wish maybe the missing fossils could have been super rare or something. I like the mixed-up mechanic and think the idea behind it is cool, but could have been taken just one step further to have been really great. 

Electric, Poison, Bug, and Flying are my favorites.

@Wolfox I'm going for Sword. I've tried to stay away from leaks and spoilers outside of official trailers, so I'm not sure what version exclusives are looking like this go around. I've usually chosen my version based on the box legendary over the years. The last time I was super pleased with my choice was White and White 2. Hoping I'll have chosen well again! 

Haha any time. Half the fun of having a library like this is letting people check it out and we love letting folks borrow games and movies. I always joke that we could open up our own rental store at this rate.

Agreed! I owned it as a teen and foolishly traded it away years ago. Now that I'm an adult and rebuilding my collection, it seems to be super difficult to find. It's certainly my "white whale" of game collecting.

Thanks @doombotmecha. Got most of the framing done on the master bathroom so it looks like a structure now at least. As for FE, I picked Golden Deer. 

Only in the recent years have I started to get a taste for horror titles. I played all of Until Dawn in one sitting with my wife and it was a blast. Alien Isolation was also great. I loved it due to my love of the movie franchise. I'd LIKE to try Resident Evil 7, but it looks terrifying to me as I'm terrified of jumpscares haha. 

@andracass I just seem to live in a constant state of "What do now?" "Who you?" "Me teacher 'round these parts"...but I have to admit I'm loving it. 

Thanks @Maqqy! It's most certainly going to be a day-one purchase for me. Despite all the criticisms I've heard, I haven't seen anything about the game yet that deters my hype yet! 

You intimidate the hell out of me....Jokes of course. People are just people. No reason to be intimidated by folks on the net. It is fun to see someone as highly liked and/or popular as you talking to us commoners though, haha. 

Nor have I. I keep getting more excited with each trailer. I'm incredibly optimistic about Sword and Shield. 

Nice! Of course my mail's running late so HOPEFULLY I'll be seeing it today along with a couple other games (Drakengard 3 and Shovel Knight). We'll see though. I'm ready to become obsessed

I'm not 100% sure honestly. I'm trying to go in mostly blind outside of what I've seen in a few trailers and a smittering of what I've seen CohhCarnage play on Twitch. I'm currently leaning towards the Golden Deer, but who knows. I'm on the fence about where to do some research into the story and mechanics or to just go in blind and learn as I go. 

Well I'd pretty much resigned myself to waiting a few months to pick it up due to money being tight. I was really shocked to find someone who wanted to trade. Not only that, but I was very happy with the trade and it was quite even.
