I'm watching at pace with my own playthrough after initially catching up.
I'm just after Corey's suicide. I've caught the static Shuppet (shiny!) and am now in the Lapis Ward anticipating the upcoming battle with Cain at Beryl Cemetary. Apparently Lapis is where you obtain rock smash which is needed to surpass limited progression in the cemetery.
I've got him paused in the middle of the suicide cut scene because I got a little lost as to what needed to be done next. I cringed at his negligence to use Jaques' gust to clear the poison from Corey's field. It was the better deal between his and mine. I didn't have gust, I had to use fire and sacrifice my Chameleon.
Fortunately, I'll never touch Nuzlocke territory.
It's far too limiting for my pleasure, I could never stick to just one Pokemon per area or stop using a fainted Pokemon.Yeah the start of ASER was about when I found him. good stuff, though the 'random' part becomes more and more of a stretch lol.
If you're following along with the series, you might want to beware of spoilers in this thread, since basically all the regulars here have completed the game and will speak freely about future content.

This one didn't even feel like luck, he just played to his win conditions well (even if those conditions were yawn+stockpile+potions and moxie mightyena). little bit of level advantage and bam.

Maybe it's just because it's coming from someone who is very much unconvinced by the whole "real life incidents" claim, but I don't see how it'd add value to ttar's playthrough. At most it'll what, make him awkward about how to talk about and handle the characters because he'll be worried about being disrespectful?
The whole narrative is kind of a can of worms I'd rather leave on the shelf ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
I ended up going down a bit of a rabbit hole of my own research on the matter for a few hours yesterday, and yeah based on that I decided to leave it at the connection between game and online league, though with a bit more detail around that.

To be fair, I think he would've left for a common candy even without the healing, since he had no way of knowing when a full boss fight was going to pop up, and the relationship penalty only applies once right?

I would like to include trivia about the online league and real life ties, but I'd also want to get my information straight on that stuff, since I think there's a fairly blurry line between fact and rumour around some of that stuff

I think it'll be special enough to count as its own thing, but yeah It's just a matter of doing the event things first. I'll try hint towards it more but I don't wanna be too forceful y'know. plus daycare stuff is pretty far-removed from nuzlockes, and doing it requires quite a noticeable break from any story progress, which makes it a bit harder to weave in naturally

Hopefully we might get an encounters episode sometime soon, since even with 1 wild and 1 static per area (plus one for certain sub areas or special gifts) there's still a ton currently available. By my count in the encounters channel, there's probably a bit over 20 right now.

I take care not to trouble myself with pokemon battles, like winning and losing, that would cause me to lose sleep at night. That is how I deal with trainers, and I know that is what brings me happiness. Although, if I were to battle, I wouldn't lose to anyone

Nah I did some calcs earlier and against it, the strongest thing should be Araquanids bubblebeam under rain, and I think that only had a 6% chance to OHKO, if Blaziken is level 35. granted there's tons of 2HKOs and with a double target it could definitely be taken out in one turn, but it's not quite so dire. I could definitely imagine a situation where he's able to bulk up and use a lemonade with swalots turn and tear through a lot of them. I don't think it'll actually happen though.
Debbie learning flame burst could be big though if he can get a field transformation off.

Doesn't look like Shelly has any team variations for her gym fight, so no. does the krictetot event actually become undoable if you leave it too long? (but before like til city renovation)

Regardless, my bet remains as it was: Tyranitartube will likely lose to Shelly. If he does not, with that kind of luck and/or skill he could easily beat the whole of episode 18, and I look forward to seeing him try. Otherwise....The Bookworm Devours All.
I think maybe we'll get up to the end of the gym puzzle (since it might take a while even if a lot is cut out) and then ending just before the shelly fight, but we might get it.
He does have Brokeziken now and even though doubles isn't great for it, bulk up + lemonade might be enough to cheese it with a bit of luck.-

Typhlosion seemed like it was throwing the match, it looks like it's only fire move is flame charge, so with it being modest and superheated field only giving it a 10% boost, a resisted solarbeam might've actually done more damage...
If it actually had lava plume, with the sun up that could've been over right there.
