    Not really, he said he can only do that because he used them for the whole episode, so he had to take on extra challenge to do that protection. plus there's still a 50% chance it hits a good pokemon anyway.

  2. God I am just constantly blown away by gorgeous the tilesets/sprites are now. It's a big step up from a few versions ago or even (dare I say it) Reborn. Huge props as always to Jan, Zumi and anyone else involved with this

    Well, the difficulty of all fights is team dependant, and his team got noticeably worse with the loss of Belly. Plus as he's said (and is obvious) he's playing much more recklessly, and with fewer swaps/heals.   

      

    Also, he did get some pretty crazy freeze luck against Aya, and beat both Bennett and Serra with only 3 proper pokemon

    Maybe @DreamblitzX should try to get through to him on that, and tell him how to get it step by step, since it would help TTar a lot in terms of leveling new additions to the team.

    The information is available to him, but I haven't heard from him in a while, so not certain he's been reading it recently

    I think he already said in-episode that revives in battle were still a no-go. 

     

    The roulette swap seems decent overall for team variety, but it still makes battles zero-stake, so I think I'd slightly prefer team wipe = random death, but we'll see if that'd actually happen often enough to be significant.

    It's just nice to see it back though

    Major kudos though. After Ditto!Arceus I came to regret not preparing to take that Garchomp out with Perish Song or Destiny Bond. Additionally, I appreciate being able to see alternate outcomes although this one was no different since I don't expect I'll be playing this again.

    He said with a cut-in at the start that this was basically recorded just after the last episode was, so before the tweet.

  7. Props to him for actually working out how to beat it with his current team.  

     

    I think despite the episode name and setting a goal for it to continue, from some of the closing words of sword (and the fact that this was uploaded at all) he already fully plans to continue lol.

    Supposedly the rules might be a bit different for S2 too so that could be neat.

    Currently, no. both of these components were ones that did not port successfully to rejuvenation. Basically each mod overrides a certain function or functions in the scripts with a version that includes the modded code. If the base function is the same between Reborn and Rejuvenation, the mod will probably work interchangeably for both (I'm guessing auto hook should be like this?). If it doesn't work naturally, it has to be edited and adapted to the functions of the other game that it's editing, and both of these components are quite complicated compared to some so I don't really have the expertise/time to fix them.

    Axis he reached the end of the current content for, so that's done

    Extreme Sun never uploads with any regularity anyway so that's not going to interfere much. 

     

    Commander is right though that a new main game release like this is one of the best times for channel growth and being able to push out a lot of videos in a short space of time and still have them do well, so it's a sound decision for him to be dedicating full attention to it like this.     While I don't have any confirmation it'll be returning, I know that he is invested/interested in the story, and it seemed to be performing decently on the channel, so there's a high chance it'll return once SwSh's main playthrough is wrapped up. 

     

    As a sidenote, with the lack of activity on the series for a bit, let's just make sure that this thread doesn't get too off-topic ok?

    Yeah, pretty sure he's basically just setting up a 'season break' of sorts for everything else so he can dedicate full time to SwSh for a bit

    I think he just knows it's a short game currently, so wants to get it done while people are still enjoying it most

    At the time he thought it was a different area so he caught it, but it is technically an illegal encounter since he killed the diglett that was his first (and found many others after). He may never do anything to recognise this, but I doubt it'll get used anyway.

    I think a pretty big part of it is also the fact that it's a youtube series. The audience will get very attached to team members, especially when there's fanart, and that makes it hard to box them and switch the team around a lot when the focus is making the viewers like the series, if that makes sense? Then again, maybe that's just projecting and he hasn't even thought of that haha

    I think the iron head was more than just PP-saving silliness. Part of the AI actually adds favouring to moves that are likely to leave the player on like 1-5hp in order to create more intense/memorable moments for the player and as a bit of a mercy mechanic. And I'd say both of those worked exactly as intended. The PP-saving AI decisions by themselves are generally only messed up by healing.

     

    I think generally when you hear stuff like "I hate this" or "I don't want to do this anymore" it's an in-the-moment emotional statement rather than actual overall opinion, but I am a little worried about a sort of slow buildup of fatigue that nuzlockeing reborn on video seems to create (mostly from grinding and losing pokemon)

  16. For the record, the AI patch thing was a joke. I'm well aware that's not a feasable idea. 

     

    I have been noticing (and getting a bit annoyed with) people acting like he's playing the game "wrong".  

    Let people play games how they want. It's working, isn't it? and it's not like how he's playing affects your gameplay.
