  1. All right, I think I'm making progress? I right clicked the icon, selected "Get Info," and then checked the box "Open Using Rosetta." Now I'm getting this screen.

Do you know where I'd even find Data/Scripts.rxdata? It's not in my Rejuvenation folder; should it be?

The fate of her infant son is never revealed.

I think the "son" that Vitus "found" as an infant, Gregory is Anju's son.

This also puts some context as to how she turned into the cold psychopath who froze over Kristiline City.

On a side note: I'm now getting the feeling that "Sirius" isn't actually dead.

Geara is the son of the couple who lived next to Gregorian Lake, and then got stuck in the Voidal Chasm. After getting out of there, the father mentions having a son while in the chasm, and naming him after the lake. So that was definitely Gregory, or Geara as he's now known.

I'm pretty sure Anju's son is Neved, but I'm not sure if that's been confirmed.

the ways iirc arent different, it's usually just the strongest/most relevant trainer in town, either according to the league or by referral

anyways, question: is/was crescent aligned with indriad? if we assume that indriad was the one with the yveltal who set keta's house on fire (wll), and crescent the one who set on fire wispy tower, wouldn't it make sense? although there is one weird detail which should be pointed out: indriad was apparently able to spy on team xen (an organisation which for most of its existence has been underground) but couldn't use it to figure out who vivian's reincarnation was and that nora wasn't at the radio tower?

this is probably stupid though, especially since the red haired time traveler says the other person hunting down keta (or rather taelia/aelita) was a he, and the only person who's a he and has/is linked to yveltal is indriad.

also, almost all actions she's taken against xen also indirectly benefit indriad (with madame x being opposed to him and all that), but it's probably not too relevant

    that also begs the questions:

    - is she still aligned with indriad?

    - if yes, why does she help the player?

    - part 2: is indriad then far more connected to the player?

    - if she isn't still aligned with indriad, why?

    finally,

putting this here to not necropost, but there's another piece of information which could actually prove this, specifically melanie killing the "children of nymiera". that would imply that either melanie or the person behind her (indriad?) would bear hate towards nymiera (otherwise why specifically name nymiera?), given that most people in alternate future either don't know about her or respect her

Oh yes, that was a part of the theory that I forgot to mention. And Indriad probably viewed all women as children of Nymiera because Nymiera was the first woman.

As for Crescent being aligned with Indriad, it would explain many things. On the other hand, why on earth would she be? Why would a former storm chaser who went rogue (probably because she found out something she should have) align herself with a death cult bent on destroying the world as we know it?

Well, if the story is told in chronological order as shown in the game as the summary should be, there's no need to worry about spoilers, since you can just read up to where you want. It's your own risk in the end, and not the responsibility of the person writing the summary as long as it's written as intended and doesn't have spoilers strewn through it in places where it's not appropriate.

Oh no, I didn't mean that. I meant that, for example, the details you choose to include or not might suggest what might be important later in the story. Or what you emphasize when you describe things etc.

if i am correct madame X skin color is black like Alexandra and nymiera. You could see a part of her face in the fight a top of the pyramid, if you saved sakitron

But we know what exposure to the Archetype can do to one's skin and hair.

A missing piece of the puzzle could just be that she thought Indriad was better off without Anathea, and that she was just holding him back.

That's not really a "missing piece" though; it's pretty much implied.

Or she could actually have been manipulated by someone else, like you suggest.

I guess Freya and Kieran are far from the only "master manipulators" in the game, but they seem like the only unambiguously evil ones. The puppet masters, Spacea and Tiempa and Crescent could all have done it, but I doubt any of them would want to end the world with Storm-9.

  7. I'm honestly hoping that Vitus isn't actually the Man in the origin story, and instead is the son or something. He seemed like a good person when we initially met him in the past, and I kind of doubt we just happened to meet him during the two years he was taking a break from being evil. I'm hoping it ends with us finding out he has a nuanced past, but was never purely evil until Anathea's murder pushed him off the deep end.

So as we all know, the evil Melanie is somehow an alternate version of Melia. But that begs many questions. Most obviously, why is Melia good and Melanie evil? Also, why is Melanie completely unfamiliar with Melia's light powers, considering she's in a way more powerful position and would have found out about that by now? Why is Melanie only 7 while Melia would be about 15 without the time travel? And finally, why is Melanie such a genius? She somehow rules the world at age 7, and even outplayed Madame X! Calling her a child prodigy would be putting it lightly. And Melia may be clever at times, but she's no child prodigy.

But hang on a second, who else do we know that's a freakish child prodigy? That's right, Maria. And for the record, I think Maria was the entire archetype, and was split into four bodies--making Melia a huge part of her but not all. But I think Melanie is somehow a corrupted version of Maria (and her soul and Melia's are still similar enough that they managed to fuse together).

But wait, there's more. How did Maria turn evil, and why is she ruling the post-apocalyptic world? Here's a clue: in the "run away" sequence, she mentioned her father a couple times. The first was when she called on him to send the Yveltal to save her; the second was when she said "Father, I have lost" before being absorbed by Melia. Maria's father, of course, is Indriad. And remember that the bad future is one where Indriad straight-up won, with Storm-9 hitting the entire earth. And I doubt Indriad had simply wanted to destroy the world; he seemed more interested in domination (as evidenced by his actions in Wispy Tower). Maybe he's secretly in control in the bad future?

For that matter, I also think the Yveltal Melanie used also belonged to Indriad. Indriad's garb seemed to be modeled after Yveltal, while his counterpart Nymiera probably had Xerneas. Moreover, the diary in Sheridan Wetlands--presumably written by Madame X--references an unnamed man spying on them with an Yveltal, and planning to use it to destroy the world if defeated. That could only have been Indriad; how many other male non-Xen affiliated villains are there? So I believe Madame X's Yveltal came from Indriad, while he still has it in the doomed timeline and is using it to help Melanie. All of this is to say that Indriad seems to have become some kind of god or shadow ruler of the bad future, and is using Melanie as a puppet. A "Marianette", if you will.

And speaking of Marianette, why was Indriad making her do all those crazy trials in Chrysalis Mansion? Could he have been training her? Perhaps preparing her to rule the world under him? This also explains why Melanie has no superpowers and was caught off guard by Melia's; Indriad did not awaken them while training her. This was probably because he knew she could use them to overpower him; and even as his puppet ruler she would lose her dependence on him if they awakened. After his trials, Marianette would be able to rule the world with her intelligence, but remain subservient to him.

So in summary, my theory is that Indriad's goal with Marianette was always to make her his puppet ruler of the world. Melanie is a successful result of that.

  9. Okay, so why did nobody ask Cella about the Miera Region? As far as the protagonists know (even though I suspect it isn't true), the Miera Region was only evacuated "a few years" before Aevium's own calamity. So wouldn't Cella herself have been from Miera, and wouldn't Erin ask her about it before departing to Blakeory Atheneum?

  10. Sorry to double post, but I really want this topic to stay alive.

(Setting: In the bad future, after our hero and their companions have escaped their prison on the ship. They ascend to the deck, where they find Madame X.)

Madame X: I've been waiting for all of you. As you can see, I have dealt with the grunts on the top level. Let us now work together and leave this wretched place.

    Amber: Who is this woman?

Melia: Madame X. She's...uh...our enemy in our own timeline. Uh...but she's right. We should join forces for now.

Amber: Wait...what? If she's your enemy in your time, why should any of us trust her? She could betray us at any moment!

Melia: Because...because we have no other choice. Working together is our only way out of this mess. Wouldn't you agree, MC?

(MC pauses for a moment, then abruptly pushes Melia aside.)

    Melia: Hey, what the-!

(MC gets into position, reaches into their bag and sends out Charizard.)

Melia: Please MC, not now. We need to work together or we're all doomed!

Madame X: It's okay, I can deal with this. (Sends out Yveltal.)

MC: (passionately) Hello. My name is [player's name]. You killed my mother. Prepare to die.

(Madame X freezes for a moment; then leaps onto her Yveltal and flies away. MC mounts Charizard and flies after her. They both disappear into the distance.)

Amber: Well...I guess that answers that question.

Melia: (crestfallen) Okay, what do we do now?

(Scene shifts to Blacksteeple Castle, where Princess Melanie is watching everything via the security cameras.)

Melanie: Well, darn. I was really looking forward to fighting those two edgy dullards.

  11. (The main characters make it to the top of Eclysia Pyramid and find Ryland possessed by Flora)

Ryland/Flora: So, you have finally arrived, children. Unfortunately for you, it is too late. I have already obtained the Jewel of Life, and will be making my way out now.

MC: Flora, remind me why you need the Jewel of Life again?

Flora: Ahahaha! It's all part of my evil plan to SAVE THE BADLANDS!

MC: ...okay, cool. Can we have it for a bit first though? We just need it to heal a few of our friends.

Flora: NO! I will not negotiate with ANYBODY!

MC: Why not? It'll only take us few minutes, then you can do your thing.

Aelita: Uh, MC? I think you're wasting time. We only have ten minutes left.

Flora: Because I'm an evil villain, and I must crush anyone who gets in my way!

MC: Flora, how have I gotten in your way? I'm literally part of Bladestar!

Aelita: Please MC, just take the Jewel of Life by force. You're not going to get through to her.

Flora: Ha! I just let you in to keep you quiet! You were never truly a member, and I planned to dispose of you when I no longer needed you.

MC: What? Why wouldn't you want me in Bladestar? I'm a fucking legend! I've defeated Team Xen multiple times, destroying every rift I came across--including a fucking VOLCANION. I also saved Kristiline Town, which had been frozen over by some creepy ice goddess. I've easily defeated legendary mons like Kyogre, Groudon, and Giratina--you know, like the Pokemon devil itself? I've literally died and been resurrected multiple times. Oh, and who can forget the time I literally saved an alternate universe by helping overthrow its dictator princess?

Aelita: Oh, fuck this. (Jumps onto Ryland, grabs the Jewel of Life, then runs and inserts it into the pillar.)

Flora: You fool! You may have taken the Jewel of Life, but you still need me to activate the panel over here! Which I will never do, because I hate you!

MC: You really are an asshole.
