WE DID IT REDDIT

fourth king of games achieved. god, I love playing aliens. honestly very glad they managed to get me another kog.
after the two-loss streak that nearly sent me back to legend 2, I took a short break of a few hours before attempting again...and actually managed to win five games in a row to climb up to kog. two sylvans (fuck sylvans), one archfiend/dark world, one sea stealth attack and one shitty aromage/blue-eyes hybrid that was honestly just a free win were the five decks I faced.

compared to last month, my deck changed slightly to stand more of a chance against the overabundance of masked heroes and sylvans. my monsters remained entirely the same, but both of my brainwashing beams and cosmic cyclone got the boot, in favor of a second powerful rebirth, a forbidden chalice (fuck sylvans) and a third enemy controller.

When even the most broken card can't save your opponent from his own stupidity.

Yo dawg I heard you liked eyes restrict monster.
Spoiler
(yes, eyes restrict is the archetype name)

So, while thinking tonight (had some trouble sleeping for an obvious reason) I thought of a way to make Hundred Eyes Dragon a better card without making it too OP.
first of all, it's summoning method. Keep the Dark Tuner but remove the Fiend restriction, or change that to a Dark monster idk. This will make it easier for Hundred Eyes to be splashed into decks. Secondly, removes the Level restriction of it's effect. While there are a lot of level 6 and higher dark monsters with usefull effects, in a Synchro based deck you'll have more use for lower level monsters most of the time. I would say remove the Dark restriction too, but let's keep that there as abit of a characteristic. Lastly, the floating effect. When it's destroyed and send to the GY, instead of sending an Earthbound Immortal to your hand, get a Dark Monster.

holy fuck apparently goddamn millennium-eyes restrict got datamined as pegasus' level 45 reward.

Millennium-eyes-restrict? I played the deck in the past. It was ok. I wonder how much of its support will be in duel links. Without any of its support it is litteraly useless.
Millenium-eyes-restrict cannot equip on its own (and I doubt that silent wobby is in duel links) meaning that your opponent can normal summon a monster and just attack over it.
My guess is that duel links will get the fusion spell and that will be it. The monsters might be a little bit too modern.

Someone once told me I'm worthless (this is way in the past btw, nothing recent). I told them "You're right, but that's why I'm learning."

so ive heard people say that gen VII games were easy many times before, but im wondering. I agree that sun/moon was easy, but heavily disagree on usum. ive played (actually nuzlocked but w/e) the majority of core series games recently, and usum honestly stood out to me as being the toughest out of all of them, barring maybe platinum.
so im interested to hear what you guys think made usum comparatively easier to other core series games.
-
But they are boosts nontheless. I might aggree on the exp share but the fact that the rest which have consequences in battle can easily ignored shows how much leeway pokemon gives in gen 7 . Just because playing tic tac toe without your hands is more difficult than with doesn't make tic tac toe itself more difficult.

That is one aspect difficulty nl. the enemey but what the player? It doesn't matter if the enemy got twice as strong if the player got three times stronger.
And that's what happens in pokemon . The challenge got bigger but the player grew even more lowering the difficulty. In fact it got so bad that people (including myself) feels that they are cheesing/cheating the game by using them. The exp share, pokemon refresh, rotom boosts, Z-moves, ... .
I think a lot of players didn't use the full set of mechanics and still got through the game quite easily.

That's strange, why would Lin want the MC unharmed? What could she be planning?

You need to be less callous of the gun dragons. Scarlight is countered by borrelload (that 500 drop) and borrelguard can't be destroyed by card effects. Scar-red is easily bypassed by borreload and snatch and attack lowering effects or is completely countered by borrelsword. Also borrelguard can't be destroyed by card effects. ...

Rejuvenation V10 Spoilers:
SpoilerJust defeated Souta and Dimensional Rift Aelita in my Intense monotype run. What's the deal with the suicidal Drifblim? Should it go for another move before Memento/ Explosion? Souta wasn't too bad once I figured out how to approach this battle, took me like 2 or 3 tries. He really needs something like Gliscor in his team. Otherwise it was rather enjoyable battle. I don't think Souta needs any nerfs.
My team for the battle:

As for the plot itself, I'm a bit confused but I believe the main principle is that changing a thing in one dimension of time (past, present or future) will not necessarily make things any better. Changing one thing can lead to many other outcomes or changes, both good and bad. Changing past or future creates an (endless) loop of outcomes.
-
SpoilerI don't think Drifblim was meant to do anything besides killing itself. Basically the seed allows it to setup tailwind with no delay then kills itself to allow another pokemon that can use the field/weather/tailwind better to have a safe switch in. This way you can have maximum amout of turns of tailwind with your good pokemon having no downside (no defense drop and item loss) except for the loss of a pokemon( if explosion didn't kill). The premise of a suicide lead. I used an exploding shiftree myself in a sun team myself, very effective.
For the difficulty it is what you expect from Rejuv at this point: legendaries, megas, extremely advantageous fields, weather,... . This creates a situation where if you can use the advanatges yourself it gets ridculously easy like with Amber. Majority of souta's team died to stealth rocks + Silvally flying. I really wish that weather wasn't primal though.
For the story I think the premise was that a hero should abbandon his personal desires for the greater good and that you can't save everybody. The time and space gods refused Melia's request to cure the petrified people because they believe that their sacrfices will in the end be worth (ergo the needs of the few above the needs of the many). The time and space gods however tried to prove their 'we make sacrifices to protect everyone' mentality by killing almost everybody... . Melia then 'learned' the consequences of her 'naive' behavior and didn't some character growth and we restored the past by correcting her mistake and letting Vivian(?) die.

Remember how in Gen 1 there was a chance for the Pokéball you threw to miss? With that in mind, how can people still consider it the best (Genwunners being said people)
