does anyone else agree with me that the puzzle to get the key for the back of Shade's Gym seem a bit TOO hard?

oh yeah btw, why is the bug type gym leader so hard when you get to her?!?! when i got to the part it took 5 tries!!! FIVE!!! I LOST TO BUG TYPES!!!!! WHY IS IT SO HARD TO DEFEAT BUG TYPES WHEN YOU HAVE LIKE 3 POKEMON THAT ARE GOOD AGAINST BUG TYPES?!?!?!?!

now a must defeat Luna, but i dont have a Herracross so this will be hard

ok you may think this is a bad idea but im restarting he game, because im just catching pokemon i want to get, im not thinking of move pools, stats, types, HM moves i will need, nothing like that, so thiss time im starting off scratch and catching pokemon wisely this time like Heracross, or Charmander, or Chimchar or Mudkip as a starter, i dont know, and since this is from scratch i need you to give me ideas.
