  1. Spoiler

    try electric attacks?
...don't say you didn't see that one coming

it's been a while but I remember using Drought Ninetales once (I think her behaviour has improved against that? or does she still kick herself onto the rainbow field?)
then just regular battling cuz AI was oofing against that

...and one other time (in singles?), a Sturdy Donphan with Heat Rock + Sunny Day into a maxed SP DEF Roserade that also held the according Seed and thus could take an ice beam ; use growth to +6 during sunlight (or maybe +4 first and needing to extend sunlight once more -with- Roserade? there was something going on there) and then giga drain everything

  2. Nice observations concerning the player character. It surely is still mysterious, and it'd finally make for a game in which the whole "you're no ordinary trainer, are you!!" comes back all the way round.
There are also implications that the events are of a cyclical nature, though I've seen enough of that kind of story in the past decade. Post-game might be a "what-if".

I was expecting to see Titania on that list somewhere, given that she's been a big source of misery for at least 50% of her supposed high school clique
(Julia still seems very "shallow" (as in, -actually- untroubled too much?!) in comparison to the other three, which just might be her exact thing all the way through to the end? it's telling they haven't had any actual interaction yet),
and 50% of the time killed someone specific in blind rage, and 100% of the time killed a lot of people in blind rage,
and there could be some sort of "atonement" (she's not particularly blind to what she does, but it'd be disingenious character development, since she's already been moving... somewhere into a whole other direction) for the folks who appear like they actually should be her friends (yet she could manage to cut them down one by one somehow), in one of those heated moments in which she just seems to falter in. It's still her turn to really do something "good", a flicker that there's an actual heart beneath the steel.
...though I'm sure the most likely scenario is that she'll find a way to blame everything on everyone else and then skedaddle the hell out of there cuz it's just "too much trouble" to actually work things out.

Solaris/Taka (if both still alive) might be in a position to show just that. Though I'm afraid one of them will pay with their life for it, or both independently, though that'd wipe out the genetic line of known guardians (where's El been at?).
Solaris stands strongly behind his viewpoints, yet as his ways cost him everything and don't work on top of that, I see him as the type of character that can really think things through to another end.
If Sirius doesn't simply turn off the lights for him, I can totally see him getting through.
(...There's actually an odd point about him not directly related to surviving, that is, when you meet him when freeing Victoria underneath the Grand Stairway.
I faintly remember his dialogue implying/saying that he'd be cool with everyone knowing about the holy site, that the player should even tell people about it.
That's an idea he never seemed to have tried? Like, just go to city managament, "Hey, there's this awesome Arceus temple down there, I'm in the bloodline of its protectors, don't do dumb shit (again), and we good".
Given that the late city management could have been expected to be quite cool with it... It's certainly nothing the story was ever meant to consider, but with all the animosity he creates, it feels like he missed out on some steps to reach his goal in better ways. Then again, actually talking to people has always been frowned upon by humans, it's just better to insult them and kick them out of places you perceive to belong to you, etc.)

  3. 1 hour ago, The Shady Dealer said:

TBH, I played Rejuv on the hardest difficulty without a clear strategy and I almost won every battle on my first try (except one).

you may certainly count that as an exception rather than an expectation for anyone going into it.
alas, you didn't even answer the question of the topic! Shift or Set?

personally I've been playing Set mode ever since finding Reborn (and thus, in Rejuvenation, which I started on Intense mode, playthrough is on ice, so far I collected 5 or 6 badges... idr.)
it makes for a much more natural flow of battle, and it makes sense to use it in games that are actually made to provide some challenges (which is quite different from the official games).

I know of people playing either mode, I might imagine it's just individual habit.
or if the game is hard enough for someone on Shift mode, turning it to Set might make advancing quite frustrating.

and no, the Nuzlocke sounds like a nuts idea, not good for your mental health. consider it thoroughly 😛

  4. if there still are cases of text being too long, please post it in minor bugs, where text errors go.

technically there shouldn't be, since I spent a ridiculous amount of hours on fitting descriptions of items, abilities, moves, Pokédex entries and whatnot into the corresponding boxes.

    have fun playing!

  5. imo
    the thing is
dynamax seems to equal z-moves, just that you can use 'em for 3 turns
making the ball and models bigger and having some flashy light is a mere eye candy to sell it as amazing cuz "WOOOW SO BIGGUUU DESUUU"

    idk. where the creativity at
it's like they are desperately searching for fresh things, but so far they have squeezed all of them so hard into the existing boundaries that it's just really not impressive
and I also can't imagine they are not aware
so I wonder what keeps these creative minds on such a narrow track.

  6. the FPS lag is caused on the software's end, to my knowledge there's nothing really you can do about it.  I had the same occurence with a GT650M at the time, and that's obviously worlds older than a... mere GTX1080.

some areas have a lot of events scripted, like Chrysolia, or the Black Obsidia Park, and Malchous Forest, and probably a couple others. those usually are the affected ones.

  7. well, given that the game is not finished yet, you can't really spreadsheet it out yet.

if you simply want to know what happens on the other route, I'd say it's probably best to ask someone who played it and still remembers 😛
some things I can remember, careful, it's in spoilers for a reason 😄 :

    Spoiler

you either travel through the desert with Taka (if you haven't battled him) or you don't (if you battle him). he makes that ordeal a whole lot easier, since your team will auto-regenerate after each double fight.
this also grants you the possibility to talk to him, acquiring some small information about his relationship to his father, and things like Lin being a narcoleptic (pretty sure the latter is relevant to the scene in the castle)
Taka will actively comment if you discover certain places with him, often regretful remarks to one thing or another

in Titania's castle, when Lin attacks, Taka actually shows up when you travelled with him, and gets killed by Lin for being a traitor.

like you already found out, the dragon to fight will be the respective other one.

if Taka is killed, Solaris will hear about it during the happenings in Agate only, and after losing a battle to the player, flees from Sirius, who is starting to severely threaten him.

  8. that doesn't sound like a bad idea, Ame just might?
though direct posts about development progress and episode content are in 99,9% of cases made on Patreon only.
for now you can of course enjoy her little comments underneath the progress bars.

  9. just one correction, the save file is "game.rxdata", not an executable.

simply make a copy of the file and rename it.
the game will always use the file that is named "game.rxdata" as its savefile, try it with one of the autosaves that you can see in the same folder.

Yes, but ame did it at 7 (even tho it doesnt matter cause she can reset anytime)

    6

I now understand properly that you meant "Cass added a number to the count, thus Ame's post was the one ending on 7"
    alas

Cass didn't post a number. hence Ame ended it on a 6 still.
for all I care, we're at 936. or 18 or 16, if it is so wished

    we definitely need
    ORDERRR

also, Corso is a sub to the establishment. 😆

  11. let me just say that you're really really really missing out by not playing the game instead! ^^
the anime keeps everything super short and condensed... :<!

    Spoiler

although I like Celestia, no tears were shed!
I thought her motive was rather weak, when compared to the excellent despair of Chihiro finally wanting to break through his weakness, but choosing a mentor in Mondo who gets mentally destroyed by that very wish.
other characters throughout the franchise got to me much more!

...a bit of an odd question, not even factoring in her talent as actress, I think Ame could be a good Kyouko, but Kyouko would be a terrible Ame. She's just too calculated and not impulsive at all. ^^

enjoy the rest of the anime, however let me say that now is your chance to hop over into the game instead! 😜

  12. ah, in that case, I can imagine.
but also, revised texts have been a thing, so take care!

should you really keep going with this, you might count me in (like I said, after the game's finished tho) more seriously than to simply check stuff, if you'd like.
alas, obviously that's gonna be a while till then.

  13. interesting.
I was eventually planning on doing a German translation, but only after the game would be finished, so all the material would be at hand.

imo it's a ridiculous task to keep the slang and fun even remotely similarly amusing in German, or probably any other language for that matter.

I'll check your start out soon(tm).

  14. mysterious air current only negates super-effectiveness against Flying-type.
if you hit a Flying/Fire Pokémon with a Water move, it will still be super effective.
or in this case, should be.

bulbapedia and the German Pokéwiki do agree on that, as well as Smogon's Mega-Rayquaza overview.

A mysterious air current causes moves that would be super effective against pure Flying-type Pokémon to instead deal neutral damage to all Flying-type Pokémon (unless a Pokémon on the field has the Air Lock or Cloud Nine Ability).
Outside of Inverse Battles, this causes Electric-, Ice-, and Rock-type moves to deal neutral damage to Flying-type Pokémon; during Inverse Battles, this causes Bug-, Fighting-, Grass-, and Ground-type moves to deal neutral damage to Flying-type Pokémon.
If a move is not super effective against the Pokémon's other type (for dual-typed Pokémon), this no longer counts as a super-effective hit (for the purposes of damage-reducing Berries, etc.).
A mysterious air current has no effect on Stealth Rock or Anticipation.
