Speaking off, i guess Toxitricity will be Venam's new signature, not Seviper? Venam had like a small scene with Seviper in GDC, i guess Toxitricity will replace him.

Early on in the game I picked up a budew and decided to use it on my team because I have never had any experience with a roselia/roserade before.Also, I figured having a poison-type would help for countering fairy-types. Some extra info: I just defeated the second gym, the rest of my team is growlithe, marshtomp, ursaring, mightyena, and electabuzz.
So my question is: Is/will there ever be a Shiny Stone in the game or am I just wasting my time? If there is no Shiny Stone, any suggestions as to what grass type I can find to replace roselia?
there is a shiny stone in the game, but you wont find it until after the 3rd gym battle

IIRC you can catch duskull in weeping hills

Actually, the Reaper Cloth is available. You can find it in the Trade Centre by interacting with one of the books there. Here's a link of the location in the spoiler.

In my opinion Togekiss is the most bothersome of them to take out. It's either Azumarill or Wigglytuff that is the weakest one in his team. Heck, I OHKO'd Azumarill with Petal Dance and Wigglytuff with Venoshock, despite the 20+ level difference.
I agree, Igglypuff isn't that great. I think it's the weakest link, so to speak. The other alternatives seem so much better, it's almost biased against Wigglytuff. I guess Caz wanted a team of fairies, but if instead of Igglypuff we got Happiny, making the choice would be more difficult imo.
who do you talk to get this started anyway?

Hello. I'm currently experiencing a game freeze every time I'm meant to fight this grunt in the volcano , as such:
Is this a known bug, am I doing something wrong? Atm the only thing I can do is quicksave

i went back to episode 2 and battle him then and saved
after that it has gone just fine

I'm still at the foresty area (where Connor's gonna cut down the tree to make a passage, but I'm grinding and looking for a Lotad because I love those things), but I just wanted to drop by and say that so far I love where the game's going! I love how the starter pokemon balls are all scattered around the island and it's super refreshing that they're not the usual fire/grass/water types. Also Connor feels like a total tsundere. I'll probably come back and edit this post when I progress further into the game.
Also can I just say that the splash screen (?) creeps me right the hell out. So. Thanks for that too.
