With the starter and eeveelution, looks like you wanna counterteam the player as much as possible, so I'd recommend any of the mons with stupidly big movepools, like Lickilicky, Eelektross, Nidoking, Archeops or Octillery, they all get usable moves from at least 10 types.

I'd say something that overall causes the opposing team status effects, lower stats and overall becomes a nuisance for the long haul of the battle.

Two people have suggested Eelektross. I guess I'll go with that.

As for Etesian's suggestions, I was considering Nidoking, but then I saw Archeops on that list and that reminded me that I have another player-choice I can base their team on: the fossil that the player didn't choose. Now the question becomes which fossils do I want the game to have?
