I want to start a new game, but I don't want to lose my current save... is there a way to do that?

If you can find your save file, which is located in your Saved Games -> Pokemon Reborn Folder on your computer, just rename Game.rxdata to anything else to start a new one.

Is it possible to move the save file to a different folder for safekeeping and then replace it later?
As long as you rename it, you should be good.
