Ame confirmed Luna to be 18 years old, so it looks fine to me^^ It's probably her in-game sprite that doesn't look her age; her aesthetic makes it extra easy for her to look younger in those. (And her behavior, too, I guess.)

Does 'broke the theme for a while' indicate that it is still a little broken, or is the sudden amount of light gray everywhere on purpose? Because the contrast is kinda... very not easy on my eyes, and it makes everything look extra cluttered to me.

(Dear Arceus I'm hoping the theme is just still broken. Looking at profiles is an uncomfortable experience right now.)
(PS: Well, that whole "won the day" thing is gonna work fabulously with the "we want to stop people farming rep so we limited how much rep you can give" idea you had going on at some point.)

So, who are you?: Some friends are repeatedly trying to expose me as being three birds in a trenchcoat. The official story, however, is that I'm a person who was led to Reborn because I had played the game, but nobody to talk to about how much I liked ~~ZEL~~ it.

I originally meant to only poke around the forums a bit, but was drawn to the showdown server very soon. Somehow people there actually paid attention to me, and now I'm stuck here with the rest of you. I'm not all that active around the forums, but you can find me hanging out on our Showdown and Discord.

I'm not someone who can list off any notable contributions to this community, but I like to think I'm pulling my weight by being an approachable and friendly face. I'm also apparently the adoptive parent to at least three people here, so there's that.

I'm a student from Germany, currently aiming for a Bachelor of Education so that I may teach English and geography. If this is really my calling is something I have doubts about, but what I do know is that I enjoy passing on knowledge, and that people have told me I'm good at speaking in front of crowds.

I love to travel, both to meet far-away friends and to appreciate interesting landscapes.

Anything you're responsible for? No, and I will not take blame for the AMAs.

What can I talk to you about? Fiction! OCs! Your stories, original or fanfiction. I love hearing about people's creations. I enjoy it when people pitch their ideas at me. I like it when I can help people brainstorm stuff. ~~Also, birds.~~

I really like your art style! Just saying but if you ever want to draw more of those "draw [group of characters] in this pose" things, I'm sure I wouldn't be the only one who would greatly enjoy seeing them. The ones you posted are gold. Also, your player character's hairstyle is very much my cup of tea. Flawless!

And the last drawing gives me way too many feelings, so let's pretend I'm not having them and move on, shhh~

PS Taka's owner saw the first Taka art you posted and thinks it looks very nice, but he doesn't have a tumblr to like stuff with and I'm betting he'll be too shy to post here, so I'll pass the compliment on in case my persuasion attempts fail again c:

Ah, the post editor is a bit weird, haha. To post an image, click the button in the bottom right corner that reads "Insert other media" - then you can insert an image by copypasting its URL, for example from your blog (seeing as you've already got the art uploaded there) or by uploading it to a host like imgur and then using the URL provided there.

Though alternatively, you can also just copy the image URL and paste it into the editor right away - the post editor embeds content automatically and then asks you if you'd like to keep it that way, or if you want to have it displayed as a URL instead. So copypasting an image URL into it will turn it into the image right away.

Jaaaaaasmiiiiii okay so since my initial communication with you was mostly just this, I'll throw it in here because it needs to be said in a place where it doesn't get buried between dramatic Celine Dion lyrics.

Your art has improved a ton since I first saw it when you posted your first set of Reborn art alll the way back. Everything, from the anatomy to the backgrounds and the shading/lighting to the textures has gotten better and better and it's really showing how much effort you've put into your art for this past year and more.

I get excited every time I see you post something new because you always outdo yourself somehow.

The set of Serra art is a great example - just look at her face and the clothes! I adore the dress especially, folds are a pain to draw.

I mean. Just compare!

...Also jfc half the art in my ZEL folder is yours and this is the opposite of a problem. I love your art so much!

Can non-aces get the ability to delete their comments on other people's statuses again at any point, or is that still something that's a privilege for some reason? Pretty sure we could do it on the old forums, and it'd seem aces still can. It's kind of annoying to have to double-comment to correct something. Maybe at least give it an edit function?

I always understood the rule as being a prevention against people using chatspeak excessively to the point where it becomes difficult to understand, but it can be pretty difficult to draw a line sometimes, so I'm happy to see the rule removed.

(Alternatively I could gush a bit about language and how cool it is that different uses of chatspeak vs non-chatspeak contribute to the tone and meaning of a sentence, and how sometimes replacing one with the other completely alters the way people process a message, but I'll restrain myself.)

The new SotD method sounds amusing, certainly more fun and easier than it was to have to gather all them rupees for one.

Oh don't worry, it's perfectly fine to post your art here, you're by no means obliged to use the thread^^ I only linked it in case you didn't know about it~
The front page of the fanart thread does seem a tad cluttered, but basically, you'd just post your art there as a reply. I mostly mentioned it because I know many people check it out when there's new posts, but it's really a matter of your personal preference.

As for Luna, I'm thinking she'll probably look fine once coloured and shaded, too; you can make her pose look more dynamic through that as well. I suppose part of why she looks stiff right now is because no shading makes it harder to see her bowing forward when she's seen from the full front. It'll be way more obvious in the finished art.
But I'm sure you'll figure out how you like it best c: I'm really liking these sketches~

Awwrh, I was so ready to give everyone a cheery congrats for their promotions, but... damn. Jeri leaving the team? I can't pretend I'm not sad to hear that. With the exception of Dan, Jeri was easily the auth I've felt the most comfortable about. Even if I can't claim to ever have had a lot of conversation with him, I've only ever found him to be a positive influence on the server; he did his job well, and never failed to seem approachable about issues.

Thanks for everything you've done for us, man! You do deserve your retirement, even if it's going to be a pretty weird feeling to get used to this change.

...That said, I do wanna congratulate everyone on their promotions/appointments. They're all great choices for their new positions, and I wish them the best of luck ~~putting up with us some more.~~ ~

Nice work so far! All of them look great, I'm seeing lots of cool poses (especially Victoria and Julia's). Liking Shade the most out of the bunch so far, but your interpretation of Charlotte is also pretty rad. She's really showing her personality there!
If you're indeed gonna be working on them some more, then I'd love to see it, I'm curious to see what they'd look like coloured/shaded.

The only thing that does stand out to me right now is that Luna is looking rather stiff. Not sure if that's what you were going for with her pose, but something about her upper body posture makes her look strangely rigid.

Gahhh she looks absolutely adorable! You have an interesting style, I really like the colours~

(I'll admit I'm not the biggest fan of Julia's super bright colour scheme, even if it undoubtedly fits her, so this is way easier on my eyes :'D)

Hey, so I cant see if anything about the schedule changed because crappy phone net is crappy, but if the voting hasn't started yet, I'd like to ask if I can be taken off the list for Server MVP. I don't think I'll be attending today and don't wanna stay on the list in that case. Not really comfortable with it either (though I had been hoping that feeling would wear off til today, lol.) If I'm too late, sorry. Kinda hectic today.

Current Aces retain that status. Aside from that, EXP isn't retroactive, so it's only from then on.

Post count is retained, account details are retained.

Since rep is going to factor into EXP (and also we're making it a bit more limited than it is currently so people can't just spamspam upvotes), we might be doing a reset of reputation? I can't remember if we made a decision on that or not.

Late response is late, but something I've been pondering about is if this isn't (depending on how much exp is required) going to be a tad frustrating for people still working towards getting ace?

If the required exp amount or the means of earning it are going to be time-consuming, it'll be a bit bothersome to be starting from the bottom again.

I guess this is gonna be one of those "necessary evil" decisions where you can either leave people's rep, even if it was earned from the sort of spam upvotes you're trying to discourage, or make everyone start over, and possibly make things difficult for people who post at a slower pace and generally don't receive as much rep/don't get it as fast.

I'd be interested in what kind of server-related things would be involved in raising exp; from what mde said, the only way that other users can help one another gain it is through the rep system, so this means that all exp from the server would be solely given out by auth. In which case it sounds like that's going to be less easy than through posting on the forums, even with spam upvotes being discouraged/not as prevalent.

I knew I wasn't gonna reach the necessary post count before E16 without spamming posts, but had been hoping it wouldn't be all that much longer (before E17, in any case). Guess it'll be a long route 'til there after all. Don't get me wrong, I ain't gonna complain when it happens. Just a bit bummed that the decision not to try and get ace before E16 is about to bite me.

I'm actually pretty excited to hear that stuff like name changes and title changes will be free from then on. I have to admit it felt a little silly to have to spend so many rupees just to change the meaningless words above one's avatar. And being able to gain exp even if you're not super active on the forums will be a great improvement.

Same question as Dobby was asking, though - do we start from scratch, or will our rep, post count, account details etc be retained & we get exp we already earned?
