  1. I'm not feeling very merry as of late, but I guess I can still say Merry Christmas/Happy Holidays for those of you who don't celebrate Christmas.

  2. So when do we get to join Team Meteor? Where do I sign up?

  3. snow is a creation of the devil and no matter what you tell me I will refuse to believe you unless you fully 200% agree with me.

  4. So can anyone tell me about the story branch in E17 content that was mentioned?

Also would be cool to know where the ring sidequest starts

@seki108 the Brave theme is supposed to be a still image, but if you choose the 'Animate' (old) theme, you will have a moving header^^

  12. Happy Birthday, Hope you have a good day mate

  13. Would you rather:

Be in terrible pain at one part of you body for one hour.

Or have an itch you can't scratch at one part of your body for a whole day.

Personally, I would choose the pain. I have a high pain tolerance as it is and itches in general are much worse IMO

  14. Decides to finally check out Discord

Reads about people too excited about trees, cacti etc.

  15. Does anyone else feel disappointed with the trainer customizations for Pokemon Sun/Moon/Ultra Sun/Ultra Moon? More specifically, the hairstyles. The clothing and hair colors are fine tbh, but I don't like most of the hairstyles of both genders. For male, the long hairstyle ain't long at all. For female, for those bangs..... what are those??? I feel like nintendo/gamefreak could have done this a lot better.

P.S. I mean no hate. Just disappointment.

Another P.S. I really like the X and Y trainer customizations. That was well done atleast, and I esp. like the male medium hair style.

they're merely stand-ins for the author and a person they encountered, nd it's not so much about them, as the general point. which is that, yknow. guys can wear skirts if they want.

It's not even just the hair, I generally enjoy being able to pick things regardless of gender, a 'la Animal Crossing.
It's more fun to have free choice of all cosmetic options. I like some clothing choices for the girl character, some for the boy, and would like being able to combine them any way I want.

I'm disappointed by the fact that things are still locked based on gender tbqh.
Let male characters have long hair, cowards. I want my ponytail.

  22. Anyone enjoying Ultra Sun or Ultra Moon so far?

No offense to anyone who's non binary, but can people please stop pushing non binary characters into stories. It gets really annoying when there are like 5 non binary characters in a story that's not relevant to anything non binary. I don't hate non binary people or anything, but it's obvious when non binary people are there for nothing else other then the fact they're non binary, and it adds nothing to the story. People are forcing LGBT characters into stories for no other reason other then the fact they're LGBT. For instance, there's a side quest in Rejuvenation, that involves a shy boy who gives you a love letter to deliver to another person. Here's the surprise though, the "other person" is a boy. There's nothing inherently wrong with that, but the snarky reply the boy who gave you the letter gives you is just confirming what I'm saying. It's something along the lines of: "I'm a guy. So what?" Here's what's what. This side quest only pushes the fact that their gay in your face. You get nothing out of it. It holds no relevance to the story, and it's not even a fun side quest to do. I won't say them being gay wasn't a surprise, but I won't say it was a good one either. If anything, this only stirs more hate against gays. I'll stop there because now I'm treading into dangerous territory, but please think about this Game devs and writers and what not. Does the character being straight, gay, non binary, a sentient sun, transgender, a black hole, a satellite, or a toilet seat impact the story at all? Does it hold any meaning? If it doesn't, reconsider the character and go from there.

I'd actually like to hear about what people have to say about LGBT characters being forced into fiction and whatnot. They want to be treated normally right? So why force them in?

Unrelated to what we were talking about, but I feel lie typing the thought out: Cain is a teenager. I forgot if he's 15 or 16 tbh, but in any case, a teen. We know he ran away from home because his mother disapproved of his orientation. We know he comes from a background in which he did not feel like anyone accepted him.
I would wager that a /lot/ of Cain's presentation of himself, visually and in personality, is his attempt at validating himself. He's putting himself out there and being out and loud, but we get to see several moments where he admits that he is rather troubled internally, and not at all okay with the way people treat him.
How much of Cain's attitude is as careless as he pretends to be? I don't think it's much. I think a lot of his in-your-face attitude is his way of rebelling, and trying to convince himself as much as others that there is nothing wrong with who he is.
He's a teen, and handling his situation in his own way. Aggressively exaggerating your otherness is a very common teen thing to do.
Holding Cain to the same standard as Amaria or Titania, two adult characters, is not fair to him.

      > I never said that. I said that, the way I, as a straight (w/e I am) don't show it off, would enjoy it if gay people weren't showing it off either.
And how do you define us "showing off"? Concrete examples? Anything other than pride?

      > I went to the Gay Pride in Athens this year to support the LGBT community and was disgusted by the sight of two men dressed BDSM-like and touching each other's genitals on top of a car.

There is ongoing debate within the community regarding these things, too. Just because it happens doesn't mean everyone's behind it and collectively thinking it's cool. But the history of the LGBT community is long and complicated and a lot of the stuff you see didn't come out of nowhere.

Discussing whether or not things need to change and how, is, however, up to the community, and not the outsiders.

But I'm sure you don't think that the LGBT comunity worldwide collectively just doesn't have a problem with public kink/etc. It's a really common complaint about pride events among us, too.
