  1. LET'S FUCKING GOOOOOO

  2. kind of a nitpick I have about rejuvenation is it can be difficult to tell when you actually get something. For instance, A-Milotic starts as a Feebas you get in chapter two, and evolves using an item you get in a chapter 7 area, BUT to get it you need to hand over an item you get in chapter 9. I know the pokemon franchise is famous for having you explore old areas, but for a game that's become so large and so interconnected, it makes reading the docs feel like an actual research projects

  3. Actually realizing 10 months later that what killed Infinite Fusion for me wasn't the typings, but the fact that I needed to grind out 160 total victories in the (boring as hell) trainer house in order to get Porygon-Z to finish my team. So since I've stalled out, here's my final team just pre-victory road, for posterity:

    Gyarados/Dugtrio (Water/Ground, Intimidate)

    Zapdos (Electric/Flying, Pressure)

    Gengar/Porygon-2(Ghost Normal, Levitate)

    Beedrill/Primeape (Bug/Fighting, honestly I don't even remember)

    Scyther/Machoke (Bug/Fighting, Technician)

  4. Infinite Fusion pretends to set up clear rules, but the game has roughly half the cast with primary/secondary types inverted for no apparent reason, like the Geodude and Onix lines being Ground/Rock instead of R/G, and Scyther being apparently Flying/Bug. It's really annoying, since I was trying to build a Bug/Fighting Scizor/Machamp Fusion, which I can't invert because Primary/Secondary status influences stats which is super annoying because like.....you aren't gonna mix physical and special mons anyways outside of a few rare cases, and even then the typing is often unworkable with the stat-optimal arrangement. I love the idea of fusing my mons but sometimes this game makes it sooo frustrating.

Oh well, Steel/Fighting isn't a half-bad typing either...Stab technician Bullet Punch should be just as fun as it was on Scizor.

  5. Infinite Fusion isn't a particularly hard game, but it does make you think.

  6. is tumblr down for anyone else? It hasn't been loading for me since late yesterday

  7. I'm having a lot of fun with Duels of Runeterra lately. I swore never to play league again, so this is a nice way to play with all the characters I knew and enjoyed, without putting myself through hell again.

  8. really tired of being busy all day. spent 2.5 hours mowing a lawn because my uncle tried to turn it into a friggin forest. Keep in mind, this sucker is like bog standard brick ranch suburb size, it just takes that long to mow now.

  9. rewatching Symphogear, I'm realizing that a lot of the animation isn't all that great...but I'll keep going because I enjoy the characters and their relationships, which is a little odd to say about a music-powered magical girl anime where the outfits are all themed around mecha.

  10. Castlevania: Symphony of the Night is out on mobile for like $3, so since I loved the netflix series so much I'm finally trying the franchise for the first time! Gonna play more in the morning, but for now I really enjoy the music/voice acting.

  11. Back to the fairy tale, back to the show~

Finally picking up this game again, gonna try and get through the final three gym leaders and finally be caught up for once in this game's history.

  12. Got a new puppy today! I fell in love with her in like 10 seconds. I'd love to post pics, but I'm just not sure how...

      Starry Knight

Click and drag, you might have to lower the quality or crop it smaller

  13. Just beat Adrienn! Took me only 1 try with my Genius and Innovative strategy of using tailwind and spamming steel-types! 😛

Also Byleth's in smash, so, that's cool.

Nice! What Steel mons did ya use?

Oh, sorry, didn't see this since I was burned out on this game for a month after all the grinding I did to get through the circus arc. My full party was:

      Crobat/Klinklang as leads

      Magnezone

      Alolan Ninetales

      Alolan Sandslash

      Flygon

Thanks for the recommendation on Sandslash, he's still named after you. Ninetales is strong on her own and turns on slash like you wouldn't believe. The full plan used an air balloon on klinklang to block the initial earthquake while Crobat set Tailwind and Klinklang set Gear Shift. Field-boosted +1 Gear Grind is monstrous. A!Ninetales doesn't have SE STAB, but she does have Aurora Veil and Hail-boosted Blizzard. Hail also makes sandslash do a pretty decent Sonic the Hedgehog impression, and of course Iron Head deals great damage on this field. Flygon is here purely on the strength of her spread moves, and with the air balloon spam I could even use Earthquake a few times, which would be useful against Mawile. However, I ended up just burning Maw down with steel stab instead.

      Thanks for asking!

Nice! And I'm so glad you like the Sandslash- I feel so honored hes named after me 😄

  14. Just beat Devon Corp! Volcarona setting up twice on Umbreon gave me just enough gas to sweep it, Magnezone, and Alakazam. Glaceon was by far the hardest though, since not only did ZEL have an auto-Hail setter, so did I! Thankfully, Magnezone (mine, not theirs) managed to land the second flash cannon and close out the match!

  15. I liked watching the direct (favorite bit was the new regis) but i can't help being reminded of all of GF's previous mistakes with swsh. I'm gonna stick to getting hyped for temtem, so at worst I can be dissapointed by a brand new company and franchise.

  16. Might take a break from the game for a while. I just hit Neo Reborn for the first time, and while all these new sidequests, mons, and content are cool, I'm still a little burned out from EV training 3 different mons just before Ciel. Might play some starbound, maybe catch up on The Dragon Prince.

  17. Happy New Year, and good night y'all

      Happy New Year!

  18. looks like I'm gonna have to buy Minecraft again

  19. 3 wiscash and like 50 encounters later, I have the TM for toxic. I never want to fish again. Goodnight.

  20. Beat Ciel! Shoutouts to @jbastian1, who suggested Alolan Sandslash, who came in clutch in this fight! The true MVP was the weather-setting, Aurora-Veiling, Garchomp-OHKO-ing Alolan Ninetales! I now know exactly why Ame loves this fox!

  21. Just beat the Water Treatment Center! Chose not to fight..... but left a save beforehand in case I don't like the results.

  22. Made some cookies, ate some cookies. Today was a good day.

  23. I am so, so, so done with random freezes. nearly lost to clown indra's Blissey just because the first two ice beams it fired were freezes.

  24. It's such a weird feeling towards the end of the Agate Circus arc when you start finding OU/UU-strength pokemon in the wild. Like, there's alolan vulpix just....hanging around Ametrine city. Best non-mega hail setter and only viable Aurora Veil user, just chillin out around town...same for finding Magnemite outside Calcenon, Lapras in Celestine Cascade, and Riolu (!!!) in a quest in Ametrine.

I think it's because of balance, imagine having one of those beasts in the early game. Technically, you could get a Lucario by the Julia's gym if you had access to it, since it evolves by happiness.

      doombotmecha

Oh I know why, it's less "oh god why are these pokemon stuck here" and more "wait, wild pokemon are actually Good now, that's so weird" like it used to be you had to take a niche mon and just make it work but now I can start to train mons that'll take me even to the elite 4! I'm so very excited!

    3. Gastronely

      Gastronely

      Oh! I see now.

But, yeah it's pretty funny that such good pokemon are so late in the game, they even feel compressed, somehow

  25. Merry Christmas y'all!
