  1. Beat Reeve! Cool character and very good looking, tbh I kinda had trouble with him because Oricorio was surprisingly nasty on that field and I had such a hard time setting up webs with galvantula. I actually had to reorganize my lineup(as well as change my golisopod's nature) because we just kept getting wrecked by dancer shenanigans and Oricorio would either OHKO galvanula or set up tailwind to completely screw us over. I realized on my winning attempt I would make a mistake trying to KO Malamar immediately, as Malamar isn't that big a threat compared to Oricorio. By focusing on Oricorio first I  was able to not only stop Oricorio from setting tailwind and allowng delphox to wreck hevoc with dancer sync,, but also keep golisopod alive long enough to take out megakazam. Also rapidash couldn't do much to Golisopod anyway. I ended up with just two pokemon left.

  2. Celia East is so beautiful and the new music tracks for this episode are great.

  3. NOOO glitchcity got hacked!! She made a vid here explaining what happened. Screw the jerks that did this.

  4. I hate losing to Huey, because it always feels like he just gets lucky with moody boosts

  5. Ryland defeated! I didn't struggle quite as hard against him like I did last time I played though he did force me to change up my teammates a bit. Excadrill is never easy to deal with and his Claydol + Torterra are quite tough to take down. Weirdly his AI was tripping against cinderace and would keep using ground attacks despite libero changing her type to flying. It was kinda odd but I'm not complaining since it allowed me to get claydol out of the way earlier which made the battle much more manageable.

Isha's gen 8 additions are super fitting for his team, and the Rose battle remix really fits his fight.  Definitely lets you know you're dealing with a madman.

  6. What game is the Garufa Inc. track from Rejuvenation from? The one that plays in the area with the shapes floating in the background? It's a lowkey nice track but it's hard to find the source it's from.

  7. Adam down! Had an easier time dealing with his gym match compared to the last few leaders. His Tyranitar was the hardest to deal with, as it was dealing dumb amounts of damage and bulky, so eventually I settled on using Mudsdale's counter to get him out the way.  Talonflame is great for setting up tailwind which gives you an actual chance to hurt aerodactyl, and while Rampardos' crest is annoying as he's guranteed to damage you, as long as he isn't using head smash you can take a hit from him, still one of adam's most torublesome pokemon. Obstagoon with guts is excellent for this fight and can  OHKO half his team, possibly even gigalith on a good roll if you have hazards set up.

  8. Oh wow,

    Spoiler

    Gardevoir

got nerfed  in V13(on normal at least). I'm not sure how I feel about it because while the original fight was *extremely* difficult and frustrating, it's kind of lost what made it memorable and stand out? It doesn't feel that much different from  previous rift fights now(it's become yet another big damage  bruiser behind shields fight) and its ability is at odds with the shield system somewhat, since it only benefits once all the shields are down. I feel like maybe every rift fight shouldn't use the shield system. I know some didn't like the minions but removing them in favor of shields has sort of removed the need for strategies and threat management to circumvent that disadvantage. Some rifts like ferrothorn work with the shield system, but Gardevoir/Carnivine/Galvantula worked better without it.

  9. Souta defeated! I was having trouble at first because despite having multiple strats ready for him,I couldn't get them to work! I wanted to try using court change to give me his tailwind, but cinderace dies to everything on his team in one hit. I wanted to change the wweather, but the field doesn't let you? Kinda lame but whatever. I wanted to change the field, but it takes two smack downs and only one heavenly wings for souta to change it back. So eh.

I was going to purify my solosis and raise it up to get trick room but I don't know to purify pokemon at this point, if I even can. So I went through my box and remembered Mawile! Of course! Mawile's intimidate should allow Cinderace to survive sky attack and court change! Even better, while training mawile I found a talonflame! adamant with gale wings? PERFECT.

I settled on using Mawile, Cinderace, Jolteon, Obstagoon, Talonflame and Mr. Rime. Skarmory leading with stealth rocks made the fight even easier since court change would not only get me a tailwind but set rocks up too. Once my first tailwind ran out I had talonflame set up another so Jolteon could continue to tear through his pokemon. Mawile + Talonflame were able to handle dragonite. Mr. Rime didn't even have to fight, the winning attempt went super well.

  10. Am I seriously not able to purify shadow pokemon in past sheridan? The spring is RIGHT there.

Am I able to purify them at all while in GDC?

  11. Finally fixed my fireplace sound glitch. I had to white out in a battle. Strange bug.

Speaking of bug, the red heracross puzzle needs a rework because it's a bit unclear what you're supposed to do. You can actually sneak up on him without being noticed on the western part of the map, but you're unable to interact with him while if you do the same on the eastern side of the map(the "proper" solution) you are.  For someone who never played they're not going to understand why the puzzle isn't solved if they catch him on the west part and what the actual objective is. In short there's more than 1 solution  to this puzzle but only one counts which is confusing.

  12. Puppetmaster down! Aelita, girl, when megamedicham is on the field and your blaziken can OHKO it, DON'T AIM FOR MUSHARNA WITH A WEAK SHADOW CLAW INSTEAD lol. This happened twice and screwed us over the first time. An easier gym leader compared to the ones before. psychic bankuru or whatever hurts though lol.

Also does anyone else read Puppetmaster's dialogue in their head as the Joker's voice?

  13. Nightmare city freakin sucks now. wtf  Easily my least favorite change in 13 so far. Well that and Dusknoir maze.

Editing this because I came off as WAY too salty before. But I still gotta say the casino paywall kinda sucks and I really dislike having our first exposure to the UBs and Johto beasts through this segment.

  14.  poison touch on Aevian Mismagius. Surely could've come up with a better ability than that?

    1. Dred

      Dred

Magic Bounce and Tangling Hair is it's other two.

    2. Monochrome_Complex

      Monochrome_Complex

Those two are good. But poison touch feels like punishment lol. I would've taken magic guard instead.

  15. Flora down! I kinda miss her old battle portrait where she looked deceptively cute. Abomasnow is soo useful for this fight as it removes her weather advantage allowing fire types to actually do damage. Despite being terrible offensively for this fight, eldegoss is excellent for slowing down roserade/rotom/Megasaur since cotton down's effect is doubled. Her Venusaur is still tough though and Ludiolo can dish out a nasty amount of hurt. Overall she's easier than Eric, who was rather tricky, and certainly easier than Angie, who's been the hardest leader thus far this playthrough.

  16. Erik's signature move has a cool animation. Hurts though lol.

but wtf at it causing my pokemon field damage even when they're supposed to be immune to it. It actually cost me the fight since my G-weezing died to the water and just needed one more attack to finish eelektross off. Jan doesn't even mention this effect when giving advice so is this even intentional? Did I miss something in the field effects?

  17. Me struggling against Amber until I realize bounce changes the field into sky field

Also noooo why is Venam's mom no longer at the party? Her super fast dancing was hilarious.

  18. I can't be the only one who had an impossible time doing danille's first simon says due to how difficult it is to change directions without moving forward. I had to skip the puzzle lol.

  19. This 2nd Nim fight seems bugged? The field is just totally black(missing a background) and losing causes the MC to  turn invisible on the field when you respawn at wispy ruins.

  20. First time playing Rejuv since they added the gen 8 mons, and I'm having a lot of fun with scorbunny's line(froakie, eat your heart out) and surprised by how useful Eldegoss has been so far, her cotton down ability is super useful. Just gotta makes sure I don't send up against anything with defiant or competitive lol.

    1. Magus

      Magus

I started playing rejuvenation about a week ago (I played back when it first came out). There is one fight in the relatively early where there is a point of no return, it is a 6v6 battle too so make sure you are ready. It is super obvious when it is.

  21. lol remember Incineroar's old overworld sprite? And Delphox's old battle sprite, along with fem-Pyroar?  Blake's old battle sprite? I find it kind of funny looking back on them.

    1. Magus

      Magus

The fact the devs were able to hand sprite all gen 6 mons is really cool, I can't imagine how tedious that was

  22. I'VE BEATEDN THE E4 FOR THE FIRST TIME WOOO! If I had to rank them from easiest to hardest for me, it would go

    Spoiler

    Anna > Heather > Laura/Bennet > Elias

    Spoiler

Elias was a huge pain  and Lura/Bennet's field was giving me quite the struggle. Heather isn't so bad if you remove her field(her using poison types was cute) and Anna was the only one I beat first try as Excadrill rips much of her team apart. But wait, what happened to her Gothitelle?  I don't remember it during the fight.

Lin was a headache. Both fights for the same reason. And of course she has honchkrow! Gah BUT that actually served me I learned eventually because honchkrow would just spam sucker punch on cloyster if it sash'd through a move, allowing me to set up shell smashes and ice shard him, then take down  Hydriegon with ease and do some damage to the PULSE arc. Several times I got close to defeating the PULSE Arc but Lin would either heal it(booo!) or it'd moonlight itself.  Eventually I got lucky on a quick claw activation winning attempt and was able to KO it before it used moonlight. I was surprised Lin didn't heal it herself but good.

I was kind of confused as to what happened in regards to her Flygon? First time I lost because like no heals after Lin and PULSE arceus is well, TOUGH but after the 4th wall blocking fake error she just replaced flygon with PULSE arc.  I guess it was a design choice done so we wouldn't have to watch the anna scene over an over? Or did I get a bad end because I lost the first time?

      Spoiler

Because of losing to Lin the first time, you are automatically reverted to Lin Route instead of Anna Route.

And in Lin Route, there is no third battle - only two, with the second having Arc-PULSE instead of Flygon.

      Spoiler

Postgame differs as well, in that regard.

But, personally, Lin Route's postgame is overall funnier and more satisfying.

      Spoiler

Thanks for clearing that up, it's a bit sad I blew it at the end but like, there was no way I was going to beat arc-pulse with just one pokemon which is all I had left at the time lol

  23. Blake was really difficult.  I'm still not entirely fond of seeds in Reborn because on some fields they're just too good, this fight being a shining example of that in regards to Gyrados essentially getting an agility for free.

  24. Just spent the last 2 and a half hours doing that 4th gem puzzle. I had to write all the gems and properties down on a paper and eliminate each property based off the clues. I can at least I say I figured it out on my own.

Still not as bad as Crawli's old puzzle in Rejuv lol.

  25. Finding victory road a bit tedious, I don't feel like we needed 4 of the gem puzzles, especially with the 4th one being as wordy as it is.

I was already in there for around a good 3 hours and enjoyed the first 2 gem puzzles, then the 3rd I did but hoped that was he last, then not even 10 minutes later a bigger one pops up and I'm kind of just over them at that point. Itried doing it but was so tired I just closed the game lol. Maybe I'll do it tonight, I do want to try and figure it out on my own since I was able to figure out the previous ones.

I like the gem puzzles, but after the third one I was like "nope," and proceeded to search for a guide.

Yea it was honestly annoying and kinda ruins the fun in a sense and i just needed a break from playing after that
