During basic training, I spoke spanish to thank the serving ladies who came around with dessert plates that we were weren't supposed to get and... I got extra plates of deserts for my troubles because it turned out none of them were native English speakers and other reasons. The other reason being that I appreciated them doing what they do, no matter how mean and manual others might perceive their services to be. The were like second mothers to me, I swear.
I was treated well and even looked up to well when I was in costa rica for a college field trip. Because I know Spanish. At least a good chunk of it, at any rate. You go to another country and show that you value the language and other things things about that country, the people will respect you more and treat you better.
People have pride, and reasons to be proud about their own history. It never pays to neglect this fact and visit unprepared.
The funny fact is, I was actually was speaking the language of that land... and the ladies there were all from my home country. I didn't realize that in time, sadly.

In the meanwhile, try to find out what language the people serving the food at the uni restaurant speak natively, learn to say "thank you" in that language well enough, try it sometimes and see if the bill magically sinks. It's not a trick that hasn't worked before.
The sad part is I found out AFTER leaving that town and that uni.

Explain Johto, pt1: Ok, the pattern is, it starts with leaves, it goes to a flower, it ends as a cottonball. Meanwhile, Hoppip has...two leaves, literally, it's a grass type with two leaves and no other floral characteristics. Also the body colour changes from stage to stage... without making sense
Explain Johto pt2, electric boogaloo. Lanturn is a fish. That thing has two arms-like things and other than them nothing fishy at all. And it's the Angler Pokemon, per Pokedex, confusing me even more. What is that thing?!
Also all Bagworm Pokemon: Pineco and Burmy is the least weird. And ok, I know how these thing work in nature Wormadam though and Forretress just bug the crap out of me, I literally can't understand how the designers thought that the artwork fit with the concept.

I wanted to do that post for a long time.
-Ivysaur, Charmeleon, Wartorlte: I think these three stages are in a great place, they're not chibis anymore, they're not too much either like the final forms. Ivysaur is the friskiest -saur, Charmeleon has the one small horn on the head I really like, the great body shape and the best colour used in the Char- line, and Wartortle combines the best colour with the best accessories out of the turtles, the fluffy tail and the winged ears, with bonus points for being so feisty
-Bayleef, Quilava, Croconaw: Bay is the only decent thing that came out of that line. Quilava is frisky and I like the slick quadrapetal design with the two fires, and Croconaw is a greatly styled cartoonish savage. Very nicely done again.
-Dragonair. Cute, majestic, adorable, in the beautiful sapphire blue, with the little horn and pearl and the wings on the sides of its head and the eyes and and and ...just incredible.
-Haunter. Amazing, creepy, creepier and ghostlier than Gengar, incredible shape and spikes.
-Faux middle stages: Electabuzz and Magmar are great, classical, iconic, and they own their lines. Rhydon and Magneton. Rhydon is bossier than boss and is also Giovanni's ace and Magneton is the kind of its line too. Gen4 effed things up but they still owe the line. All these things have the design magnitude of final forms and poor Gen4 still makes them look better than their descendants.
-Marshtomp and Monferno: these things look nice.
-Kadabra: another distinct middle stage, introducing the spoon, brandishing the great angry look and the incredibly fat yet pointy tail.
-Sliggoo: easily the pinacle of its unfortunate line.
-Nidorino, Nidorina: again, classic, distinct, fuller than stage 1, lighter than stage 3, a great in-between stop for these lines. It's like adolescents, with their bodies still evolving and the differences between genders starting to be more and more distinct.
EDIT: Geez I forgot Poli! Pokemon Adventures! Iconic spiral, gloves, the right size, and a great companion in a great journey!
And EDIT2: Weepinbell, which I always liked way way way way much more than Victreebell.
...and yes, EDIT3: Pidgeotto for me owned its line too, being slicker than -ot, also with a longer name. Mega Jeesus flipped the table, but it's a honorable mention.

Actually requires Waterfalling from CELESTINE F1 to B1F to B2F and then Strength-glitching. I swear, noone ever remembers that the name of that place is Celestine.

Prankster and Trick Rooom have nothing to do with each other. Prankster moves status moves one position higher, but TR is -6. Trickroomers have to be bulky to set it after tanking a hit or two.
You can also abuse Prankster Rain Dance (or Drizzle Politoed, who's available again) with a Swift Swimmer or two. Kingdra double-resists fire and is your best pick. Although I also love Golduck.

Or just catch and level a Swift Swim Golduck from the ice mountains. Mine a Damp Rock. Set Rocks, dispose of Togekiss, set Rain, sack something to bring your Water Type in and rek everything before Mega Altaria. Golduck gets Icy Wind from the Agate Tutor to deal with Noivern and Aqua Jet via relearner to deal with Talonflame after rocks under the rain.
Then spam Icy Wind to slow down Mega Altaria and send Gardevoir to finish the job.

After you return to the city, talk to the leader of the Aqua Gang of Magma Gang.

Give Camerupt Nature Power from the TM which turns into an always accurate, double power Mirror Shot that always lowers accuracy. Also train up Vanillite, which resists her Ice stabs and has Mirror Shot via level up. Get Dusclops out. Also, you can catch a Pokemon with the ability Compoundeyes and then farm Wide Lenses from the Yanmas in Azurine. Check if anything you have learns Lucky Chant which completely stops her crits for 5 turns. That should be enough.

There are enough Linkstones for your run, check the new item guide in my Sig for their locations.
Also E15 Shade is much more physical, so do as Etesian says but get a Light Clay from the Dpt. Store or mining and set both screens up, Reflect AFTER Light Screen since Chandi has Infiltrator I think. Make sure you can finish all the physical members of his team before Reflect goes out, because Shadow Sneak.

I didn't think I'd make one. And today I decided not only to make it, but also how to make it. I picked a date. It was the anniversary of the date I pm'd pretty much my first Reborn friend... and I'm 11 days too late, god fucking damnit! I gotta hurry and do it fast before it reaches 12 and I have a lot of people to write to and about.
However it's not gonna be that easy. I decided to turn this little happening into a guessing game, which I so much love. I will not name the recepients of my comments and appreciation. You know who you are, or you should understand by reading this. Or at least have a solid guess.
To help randomize the process and not just go from most important to less important and shit, I've got a deck of cards next to me: I'll draw a card and write about a person, whoever I think the card suits. Black suits, prolly male. Red suits, prolly female. Higher number or figure, prolly more close or important. Lower number, still here for a reason. Ace? In german it's called Ass. Yup, true story.

10♢ is Ama: In a most weird turn of events, first card for the first person I met here, a most appropriate card for you. It all started with you, believe it or not. You propably don't. You never bothered on how embarrasing for me my first message to you was, and then I never let you go with an iron insistence, until things stuck well enough. You should know that I value you like only a few members here. Gonna hug you irl!
2♢ is Zumidesu: We've been preeeeetty much distant in the last many months. I'm back to appreciating you quietly, since you've stopped doing a various things that were peeving me. I am easily peeved though and you shouldn't mind that. Anyway, I'm back to appreciating you and quietly hyped. I was kinda sad btw. People noticed more some things you did over the ones I valued more.
1♤ is NickCrash: We're talking sporadically because I'm an awfully inconsistent at it, but you are the man. Super friendly, super smart, humourous and with a voice on the phone that is always sounding off from what I expect, and always into something. Keep it up both here and irl, cause you can. You're the man!
1♧ is Etesian: Fuck yet another ace. On and off and on and off, as things often go with me. But still an awesome guy, always helpful, and I'm always here for you pal. We started talking when you were grand and I was little and it was cool, always. I'm here for you man! Oh and btw, the deck is mightier than the dice, I'll give you that!
8♤ is Pineapple: I've been hard on your ass from time to time to time, and I kinda regret it you know. Which is very rarely the case. You are an incredibly fun guy to be around, whether I' m actively involved or lurking around, you are one of the most open rebornians and I like you immensly. Although your potential of trolling is off the charts.
2♧ is Nova the moest Shade: I lament, LAMENT the axing of prank items. Your creations are absolutely perfect for them, as I've demonstrated once in times ancient. Well, once and a half, I failed the first time. We barely barely talk, but you're a chill guy, always engaged into something and giving it all you got. I can respect that.
2♤ is Stratos: Dear rival, I was never as motivated and meticulious to make you have a rival that was a Redemption League Champion. Well only two managed anyway. However, our brief rivalry was a really nice thing to have. I hope the best for you, and I wanna see you find the way to your dreams.
6♢ is an IceCreamSandWitch: A most bizarre, quirky, interesting and unpredictable member of the community. Or, well, I know it's gonna be weird, awesome and a great ride, but I never can guess what it's gonna be. Please continue doing your thing and never be afraid or scared of anything. Actually, you don't even need encouragement, since your creativity is unbound.
8♧ is Kamina: You're as chill and easygoing a guy as they come. Perfect for helping me with mons, perfect for getting what you deserve. Endless banter and trash talk. And Christ almighty do you deserve it. Oh and don't reply with an :[ cause I wanna see you try answering in english. That's always entertaining!
4♤ is Tomas Elliot: You're a really nice guy and at the same time as stern a hardass as they come. Ok, I'm a little hyperbolic with that, but you are a tough nut to crack. At the same time you are the guy with the amazing smarts, strong opinions, great points and you are the guy that knows how to do things. In a very wide spectrum. I really really respect you and I wish things will be on the rise once again!
7♧ is Derpy Simon: Well whatever friction once was I'm past it. Let's say some things are strictly business. You've been an incredible help to me in one big project I've done around this place and always a great guy to talk to. And some things are always worth a good banter, especially if we feel we're getting trolled. That has to do with both forum mechanics and server happenings.
7♤ is Shing: You are quite a good guy. Also a very, very distant one, which does not work well enough with my inconsistency and all. However, you are a much better guy than what you think you are and you should be a little more, well... willing to come out of your shell and relax and make your stands and whatnot. Keep your head up mate.

J is Kurotsune: Stands for the Joker. I've given up on tryintg to talk to you in private, trying to understand you or trying anything about you. You are your own demon. I hope all goes well for you because you are a great person even when you're busy being a great mystery or a great pain in someone's butt. Just be you in the most happy you can be, that's my wish.
8♡ is Lost Lore: Ahh, I was waiting for you for some time! I love, love, love the quick wit and mind of yours and lament every time you are shy, afraid or uncomfortable. To me you are absolutely cute, absolutely fabulous, and most importantly, absolutely necessary, adding your spice when least expected.
10♧ is Renzo: You're not a 10 in many many regards, but as late as this card came I have to do my best, and you are the best. Cause you're a 10 at being a fun and cool guy to hang around for multitude of reasons. You're great entertainment, great at talking about entertainment too. Although we don't talk much, you talk a lot and that's pretty pretty fun! Especially your latest campaign of spreading the word has been pretty sick!
6♧ is Author Reborn: Again, we don't really talk. But a random encounter and the lots of encouragement it gave me, a great attitude and you being around for various things and suddenly you're here! Let's hope that all goes well from now on too! Good luck with all the irl things too man, because I may be a silent watcher, but I do read and wish you the best!
9♡ is Rosesong: We are quite different as personalities. I'm much more... well, brash, rude, sceptical, insistent, etc etc etc. Kinda meshes badly with your openness, positivity and your great demeanour. Well, all that is precisely the reason we are able to talk. If it was more about my bad attitude, you would have been exasperated months ago. Thanks for being great with me and pretty much everyone as well!
Q♢ is a Destructive Skitty: You're absolutely awesome. Very open, incredibly helpful, really good at what you do, an awesome person to talk to. That doesn't make you any less of a wild card, an enigma, a person that's often incredibly hard to decode. Part of your charm, I guess, but it's always troubling me a little. I wish you would start posting in the community about the community again, as you once did.
7♡ is Alicirno: We only talk a little, but it's always great to be able to talk to someone without any feelings of guilt, any negative backlash or any restraint about things we may both be interested in. It's quietly great to make someone feel welcome in that regard!
7♢ is Red Chaos: You're quite a weird one. Not in a bad way, but you're a little odd. Your attitude has often been a source of confusion for me, your reactions, the brevity of your text, the weird patterns. You're not a bad one at all though! I guess one thing I could say to describe you, take it however you like it, is "very american".
Q♤ is Xiri: An abiguious combination too! Quite neat! Well, you've said that you like me a lot, but I would be very dissappointed if you aren't secretly a vicious competitor and look down at me just as I like and appreciate you a lot, but as a vicious competitior I loathe and detest you! Well, I guess you don't have as much a nasty attitude as I... or do you?

6♤ is Hukuna Fulmine: It's hard when you're both super hard on yourself and believe that everyone's super hard on you. And I don't want to tell you that you're wrong about it, I don't want to dismiss that feeling of yours, but I hope you were more receptive to the sympathy and appreciation and respect lots and lots of people, including yours truly, have towards you.

4♢ is Kosher Kitten: You've been more or less very quiet for months. We don't talk at all, pretty much. But I appreciate your demeanor and miss the most weird and bizarre side of you, that you once upon a time revealed sporadically. Your dream self. These thoughts were of the most interesting things I've had the luck of reading anywhere around here, therefore, here you are!
3♤ is Zimvader42: 3 for 30. That's the day you sent me the last pm. I won't disclose the month. Quite frankly I was extremely lazy to reply then and then kept it in mind for months. Sorry man. I wish I had that motivation to try, but it's kinda hard. Or at least it was hard at the time. Still, you're quite the interesting guy and I am a great fan of your creations. Best of luck too on what lies ahead with them!

K♢ is Hilda->Hunter: Yet another ambiguious one. Ups and downs is what it's been with you, and I trust that things are a little more stable the last few months. On one side any sign of you being ambitious around here makes me wary. On the other side I can appreciate a conversation sparker like you quite a lot. Although I often disagree in the ways you think about things, it's always nice to have someone vested in other matters.
5♤ is Jericho: In comparison to the auth listed here you are by far the most vested in your position, which makes you a tougher sell on me. Regardless, you're a swell guy, even when you're a pain up the butt, too much fan police and whatnot. I like you as a guy, I like lots of things you've done as an auth, I'm wary of the auth in general. I hope we both can appreciate the better parts of the deal!

9♧ is Viridescent: I like this suit to almost finish this, although the number's high up the sky. You're a really nice, active, industrious, very smart guy. Although strict and uptight too and quite the character. I hope we can slowly continue to build our relationship, since it's a little fresher than with other people here!
~OCFR: Order Card for Replacements. A non-playing card, but one where you circle the cards gone bad and mail it to the company to send you new ones without buying a new deck. Not an entry!~
K♧ is Kaito: Down with the King!!! As your loyal subject I have pledged my faith and my trust into you and I don't regret it at all, so don't betray them and it'll all be good, even great! You're as swell a guy as I was told, so let's enjoy the ride! Although some maintenance is quite in order.

6♡ is a Cool Girl: We started to talk recently and I already had enough time to be a hardass! All you need to know about me, perhaps. At any rate, you're a very good kid, altough your stormy enthousiasm to everything is not my style at all. That doesn't mean I don't appreciate you! But I'm still insistent in my stances towards things and in some cases I think the best is "everyone does as they see fit"
4♧ is Assistant Njab: One man can't do it all, so assistance is required, and even the most egotistic pridefull idiot (yours truly) will agree. Thanks for being a great guy to work with, always ready, willing and very chill about it, especially right after I had been quite the weirdly insistent guy about it all. Thanks for your help and most of all for the helpful attitude, and 'til the next time we gotta work on it all!
