Glad you were able to find it! In regards to pointers, Crolea does mention to go there next.

Reuploaded Spork:
-new custom shiny Oshawott line made by Steffi
-updated TM learnsets, level up learnsets, and egg moves for Pokemon from previous gens that were added to SV in the Indigo Disk DLC
-For Kayla's team, Volcarona has been changed to Iron Valiant (nickname Robo-Fortune)
-replacing the removed direction fix, the grass rustle animation is now over the player's head in Complex Apartments
-a notepad file listing all the item gifts for starter options has been added
Bug Fixes:
-the backsprites of the Galar starter Megas and Kanto starter G-Megas are now properly named, so they'll appear in battle when using them
-the evomethodsandotherchanges notepad file now mentions that Dipplin evolves into Hydrapple with another Syrupy Apple
-the apple vendor now sells Syrupy Apples at the Battle Mall; previously they only sold them at the Forest of Feeling
I mentioned in November's reupload post that updating learnsets for older Pokemon for new gens or DLCs takes more out of me each time. With the Teal Mask DLC, I did them in advance of adding them, but here, I did them the reupload after. I'm not sure why it takes more of a toll than it used to, but fortunately it's not something I think I'll have to worry about again for a while. I don't remember PLA being too much with adding learnsets, so if Legends Z-A is similar in that regard, it might not be too taxing. And even if it does change more than PLA, it's not coming out until next year.
The shiny Oshawott line resembles CJ from Animal Crossing!
Since Spork's shiny Durant is based on Flick, and Flick and CJ are partners, I thought it'd be neat to have a shiny based on CJ too! The resemblance continues all the way up the line to regular Samurott, but if you evolve Dewott into H-Samurott, it's based on CJ's dad Chip!
Thanks to Steffi for the sprites, and also the idea for H-Samurott to look like Chip!
The last part of this post is related to the forum club rather than the game directly: a lot of images were recently showing as broken image links, mainly in this thread and the Spork Art Thread. I remember a while ago Imgur announced that they'd be removing older images that weren't linked to accounts. At first it didn't seem to be happening here, but then one day I noticed a lot of images not showing, and Steffi pointed it out as well. The past week I made an Imgur account to restore images, so most of the pictures from past reupload posts and the art thread should be displaying again!

Reuploaded:
-the battles with Pokemon named after Kirby characters in Delicia's Return to Dreamland (King Dedede, Meta Knight, Whispy Woods, Mr. Frosty, Chef Kawasaki, Phan Phan, and Fire Lion) now have sprites resembling those characters. Thanks to Steffi for the sprites!
-For Kayla's team, Volcarona has been changed to Iron Valiant (nickname Robo-Fortune)

Sorry for the late reply, I saw this post when I woke up and forgot to get back to it later. If nothing we've tried so far has worked, I can't think of any other ideas at the moment. Sorry for not being able to help, I think this is the first time this error has come up. I'll let you know if I think of anything else in the future.

should i delete the game and redownload?
Yeah, you'll still have your save file since it's stored in a different place so it's safe to delete and redownload.

This game is such fun, too. Thank you for making it!Thanks, I'm glad you're having fun playing Spork!

I'm not sure if this is a bug or if I haven't met some criteria or gotten far enough, but I wasn't sure where else to ask this. I'm in the Sea Star Society and I have spoken to Tinkaton, but when I then go to the Tinkatink they just say their names but don't move otherwise.
They never visually move from their spot, but the quest variable progresses when you speak to them after having spoken to the Tinkaton.

sorry for late response, no it still shows same screen
The last thing I can think of at the moment is if redownloading fixes it? IIRC there've been a few times where redownloading fixed errors, maybe some files didn't fully download.

Here's my map file for the Fork in the Road. If you put this in the Data folder, replacing the Map127 file that's in there, does it load up?

Sorry for the late reply, it was nighttime where I am when you made the thread. I'm happy to hear you love the story of Spork! There's currently no documentation within the game itself of the starter item gifts, but the next reupload will have a notepad file that lists all of them. I can also put all of them here in the thread.

all i did was save the game and close it out. don't remember doing anyhting else
Sorry for the late reply, it was nighttime for me for the past couple posts. I tried to find what I could about the error by searching online and only got 2 results. One was an error that was similar but not exactly the same (maybe just because it's a different Essentials version) and mentioned corrupted map data. The other one was a thread with the exact same error, but no one replied to it.
Do you play on PC or Joiplay? I've heard of Joiplay having some issues with displaying maps or showing black space in parts of them.

Do you remember the last things you were doing when you were playing before the error happened?

Hi
have been getting this on my screen and have no idea to fix it bc it keeps closing my game Game.rxdata 123.87 kB · 1 download
I get the same error when loading up the save file, and opening in RPG Maker gives a different error message:
My first thought is that both error messages mention "updateMap". Did you happen to update from a version with older maps recently?
-
Here's your save file! When I loaded up, you were in Aliora City, so I saved there since it was outside the meadow already. Hopefully this helps, please let me know if it happens in the future!

-
This started happening a couple years ago, but I haven't been able to figure out what causes it because I haven't noticed anything in common with the save files of people who've gotten it and I didn't understand the error messages enough to figure it out. I also haven't gotten it myself. The detail of it happening in the grass is a good start! Maybe that knowledge will help find the cause and solution.
If you send me your save file, I should be able to load up your game and save outside of Aliora Meadow for you to continue. Instructions if needed, this guide was written for Reborn but will work for Spork too: https://www.rebornevo.com/pr/save/ I'm currently getting ready to go somewhere in a couple hours, so it could be a few hours before I'm able to. I apologize in advance for the time.
For future reference, bug reports would go in the bug reporting thread.

-
I'm happy Spork is your favorite fangame! The reason the Galar fossils aren't in is because I feel bad for them. But since they don't exist in Spork, that means you can still have 100% dex completion since they're not counted!
Also, there's a spoiler box at the top of the post, but when I try to click on it, there's nothing inside. Is there a glitch where the site isn't showing the contents, or was the spoiler box an accident?

HI!
i dont know where else i can ask this since this is the only forum that im aware of. But just in case that this is also a bug, i want to ask how do i evolve dipplin to hydrapple? cause i dont see it mentioned in the evo change doc so i assume its not changed. But when i check with the game. There is no Dragon Cheer move. And while im at it, it would be very much appricated if someone can tell me how can i get blood moon ursaluna.
Thanks!Hi! I wasn't confident I could script Dragon Cheer, so Dipplin evolves into Hydrapple with another Syrupy Apple. I realized that I forgot to note this in the notepad file a couple hours after the reupload so it's noted there for next reupload!
Bloodmoon Ursaluna is a placeholder for now if you speak to Couragi at Crystal Caverns (you can get to where Couragi is immediately if you enter through Marvelous Marsh). When the next batch of map revamps is completed, Bloodmoon Ursaluna will be obtainable through a sidequest in a new map.

Reuploaded Spork
Updates:
-added Indigo Disk Pokemon
-added moves Tera Starstorm, Thunderclap, Mighty Cleave, Tachyon Cutter, Hard Press, Supercell Slam, Malignant Chain
-added item Metal Alloy
-added Metal Alloy to Duraludon starter item gifts
-added overworld sprites for Okidogi and Fezandipiti (made by DarkusShadow)
-added Double-Edge, Feather Dance, Curse, Metal Sound, and Petal Blizzard as tutor moves
-added Indigo Disk characters to Planet Spork character simulation teams
-updated Planet Spork SV character simulation teams to match their Blueberry Academy rematches. Additionally, Larry now has one simulation team instead of two, since his Blueberry Academy team is like a combination of his two teams, and Kieran and Carmine simulations are now double battles
-removed Complex Apartments direction fix
-the Unova quiz question about Charles the Heartbreaker has been changed to a question about Blueberry Academy
-Due to Triston being from Unova and having the Underwater Hotel, while Unova itself also now has an underwater school, a few other references to Blueberry Academy have been added: Emily mentions it at the Tourist Info Center if you choose to be from Unova, an NPC at Inoset Island says that Cyrano visits the Underwater Hotel sometimes, and Triston mentions it at the end of the Underwater Hotel tour you can do in the postgame if you're from Unova (it's also mentioned in the Terapagos quest if you're from Unova)
-Piplup line's second ability has been changed to Competitive
-Mist Ball and Luster Purge base power has been raised to 95
Bug Fixes:
-Hyperspace Hole no longer has the move effect of Happy Hour
-can no longer walk through a couple of wall tiles in the right bedroom of the Serenity Seaside house
Although most Teal Mask Pokemon are placeholder events for now, all Indigo Disk Pokemon are available in their natural locations!
The reason the direction fix for the Complex Apartments was removed is because depending on which direction you entered the Gym from, it could make it impossible to talk to one specific simulation in the left room. A couple people thought it was part of a puzzle, but it wasn't my intention to require anyone to have to leave and re-enter in order to complete the Gym, I just didn't realize it was something that could happen. For next reupload, I'd like to think of a different effect to replace it with.
One of my favorite parts of adding new Pokemon is that it can be an opportunity to add more to areas and characters that I didn't do as much with before. For example, I've wanted to have an event related to the house you get in Serenity Seaside since it was added with the Ocean Coast revamps, and now the Terapagos quest is there! I might still do more with it in the future, like having an event where the player and Emily first go in and explore it, since the Terapagos quest implies the both of you already have. I've already decided what I'm going to focus on for next reupload, but it's not off the table to come back here later in the year! Happy 2024!

Dream from April 20, 2022: all the Reborn staff were staying at Matty's room in a hotel, and at one point Lin was going around the hotel absorbing people. First she would disguise herself as someone else, then approach starting a conversation about how Google paid for her to take a class. Then she would absorb them during the conversation. I sensed this happening with Matty, but it was taking a long time because Matty knew they were talking to Lin in disguise, and they baited her into an argument about Europe. (I think maybe Lin needed people to be in a certain emotional state to absorb them? and Matty was putting themself in a different emotional state to prevent absorption) I planned to leave the hotel, but went through Matty's fridge for a bottle of water first, because I was feeling dehydrated. On my way out of the hotel I planned to message Matty about me leaving, but accidentally messaged someone else who had the same avatar as Matty.
Dream from July 1, 2023: Jan's Pokemon Reborn team got overwritten by Ame's, and I spent an hour writing an essay about Jan/Ame's Azumarill.
Dream from January 13, 2024: Reborn released a Gen 8 update and the Gen 8 legendaries were obtained by pouring a glass of any kind of milk except whole milk. Also, Ame ordered Enamorus from a delivery website IRL.

Oh, okay! I get it :) And don't worry about it, I understand. I know how it is when you're hyperfocusing on something ^_^
And thank you so much, I would love to get the files here! Sleep well, and I look forward to hearing from you again. Thanks once again! :D
Thank you for your patience and understanding! I think this is the file that should update the move. You would just need to download it and place it in the game's Data folder, replacing the existing one. If after downloading the file here, Hoopa still thinks it's supposed to be using Happyspace Hole instead of Hyperspace Hole, please let me know and I'll send a new copy of the Data folder as a (hyperspace) whole!

You're very welcome, I really do love the game! And thank you for the quick fix, it'll make me enjoy the game even more since Hoopa is my favourite Pokémon :)
Oh, for clarification, fixed for next reupload means that the next reupload will have it fixed. The current upload hasn't been updated, it's just been fixed on my end and that fix will be public the next time I reupload. Sorry for the miscommunication and for the late reply. I've been hyperfocusing on the Pokemon DLC and it seems like that's made me forget to check the site as often.
The next reupload will be some time still, but I can upload the individual files here that would fix the move for you! I've already turned my computer off and am going to sleep soon (it's 1 AM for me), so I'll be able to send you the files tomorrow!

Hello! I'm still very new to this game, but is Hyperspace Hole supposed to do nothing? At first it says something about the pokemon being happy, and then nothing... After I pick the move again, it just says it failed. I just think it's a little strange, seeing as Hyperspace Hole and Hyperspace Fury are Hoopa's signature moves... (Haven't tried Hyperspace Fury yet though). Thanks in advance and have a lovely day! Love the game so far!
Thank you for your kind words about the game, I'm glad you're enjoying it! I tested Hyperspace Hole just now and it had the wrong move effect, it was using Happy Hour's function code. Fixed for next reupload!

Reuploaded Spork early to fix a game-breaking bug
Updates:
-Teal Mask DLC Pokemon added*
-Crolea now has Bloodmoon Ursaluna
-added moves Blood Moon, Syrup Bomb, Matcha Gotcha, Ivy Cudgel
-added abilities Mind's Eye, Supersweet Syrup, Toxic Chain
-added Planet Spork character simulations for Teal Mask characters
-added item Syrupy Apple
-added Syrupy Apple to Applin starter evolution gifts
Bug Fixes:
-the farmer at the end of the ranger Legend Dairy quest no longer walks into the Miltank/Dairy Queen and gets stuck
*This reupload is earlier than originally planned. As mentioned in the last post, some of the Pokemon will be appearing in the next batch of map revamps. Due to the recently discovered game-breaking bug that causes players to get stuck at the Legend Dairy, I wanted to reupload as soon as I could to fix it.
Dipplin is the only one that's available organically, unless you choose one of the others as a starter. However, as a placeholder until the others are available, you can get them by speaking to Couragi in Crystal Caverns (along with Ogerpon's masks)!
On the topic of DLC, I hope everyone who's playing it is enjoying the Indigo Disk! I started playing when it released in my timezone last night and I've been having a lot of fun!

All I do is Lin but change the L to a W
Gardevoir gossiped and I'm here to prove the rumors true
So before they throw Shade, here's some ilLumination
Of how I blew up overnight like a train station
Magic once in a Blue Moon, Ice Cream Sand Witch
It's not a Glitch when the field changes like a beat switch
And my enemies switched like Charlotte: no longer want smoke
I was slept on in Agate, but my mono is woke
When I believed Anna's visions, they thought I was delirious
Now I Eclipsed Team Meteor and they know I'm Sirius
My Arc ended with light, I became a hero
I Aced every test even when my odds were Zero
In order I'll describe my bling, starting with the Ruby Ring
Seal of pain, someone lost an eye for it
And two others had to die for it
Sapphire Bracelets, seal of love stories that didn't last
One couldn't hold water, the other took a Fire Blast
Emerald Brooch, seal of faith, granted eyesight
But he was still blind to the truth clear as daylight
Amethyst Pendant, the seal beyond the timeline
But her dreams made her sick, the universe drew a fine line
Is it really shocking that we all needed therapy?
Too bad the doctor's two-faced like a Cherubi
But nothing stopped our PULSE, we persevered with grace
Came out of our Shelly, made the world a better place
When I bought my ticket here it came with a free warn
But what once felt like Never After is now A City, Reborn
