    Of course, we have to make our own interpretations of a lot of stuff in fantasy works. For example, when Gardevoir creates a 'black hole', I think of it is as some advanced Shadow Ball that can send people into the 'shadow realm'.

     

    Anyway, in the latest devblog post, since people are actually taking the 807 number to heart:

    - First of all, 807 is the number of mons in the dex upto Zeraora. That doesn't include Megas, Alolan variants or Formes (e.g., Cherrim has 2 Formes, Lycanroc has 3, Furfrou has 10). The number goes up to 984 including these.

    - Second, all of the above actually have 2 icons instead of 1, which they alternate between on the party screen. Most of them might just go up and down in position, but there are also some like Crobat:

    Also the number of eggs for these mons is 364, so that's 364 egg icons, then 364 shiny egg sprites, and then 364 shiny egg icons; even then there are those that have been redone.

    So what I'm saying is, Smeargletail actually scores an 11 out of 10 on the madlad scale

    if you want a exact number it's 2,826 which took 4 months mostly due to off and on drive and the tedium of messing with icons. The base party icons were ones I found online with slightly different colors than rejuvs and I made the outlines darker so black shinies could work better, then of course shinied them. I already had the egg icons done forever ago but made them better by using party icons to better match tone and there were a few shinies that have changed since ep18. TL;DR I like pain

    we have almost all moves done and these are the ones we are left/currently working on, sorry for not responding sooner. I am currently working on geomancy but would still love to see
yours if you do one. There are 3 of us doing them so we should be good

It really does make it sound like Essentials is the worst thing ever built when in fact it's a really good system. It's a massive system made by a few hobbyist which really is a feat and works really well for its primary purpose. And making something from scratch and optimizing things are two things that any programmer should do but one is easier to do than another. I've made things that were nonsensical to someone else with more experience. But at the end of the day there have been some very enjoyable games made from base essentials. Think of it like older cars vs newer cars. They both do their jobs at the end of the day.

    For the most part it's joking around and hey if it wasn't for essentials we wouldn't have fangames like reborn,rejuv, and many others so that's a plus maybe? I can't speak for anyone else but essentials also has issues I've dealt with in my experience with the animation editor like if a script hangs it closes me out of it without saving,the lag of messing with it's settings and oh arceus I wish it worked better with doubles battles.

    congrats on you and ruby becoming devs, it is a wonderful feeling being part of something

     

    1.Do you have a idea of how many episodes/chapters/Versions the game will be?(god have mercy on your soul if you do gen9)

    2. Are you going to be adding on more people?

    3.How has the work felt?
