I should've phrased that better, it was more story that was mediocre. The characters were better but having recently finished Reborn episode 14, followed by Shovel Knight and Okami-den, the characters seemed blander than they actually were. Some of the characters just didn't make as big of an impact on me than they might've otherwise. It may also stem from some disappointment with some major battles. From the look of the status bars on the thread I'd say it's at most a month away.

There's a thread in the Development Blog section that tells the progress on it. last I checked it was only about 55%.

Yeah, that's one thing I'd love to see added, support for multiple save files. Like the traditional 3 slots.

You have to mine for the fossil, which requires lots of soft resets and the reviver isn't available until the ice gym. Nothing comes easy in Reborn except death and despair.
