    Okay, either the Battle Tree AI cheats by using the player's input to predict switches, or that Porygon 2 actually intended to use Blizzard on a Ninetales.

    Really?  Paid online play?  Surely Nintendo can't be so stupid as to throw away one of its biggest advantages over Xbox and PlayStation.  I'll hold out hope that it's actually just some kind of "premium account" or something, and that regular online stuff works for free.

      Oh, It's definitely problematic in terms of Pokemon. I'm not saying that it isn't. I'm actually expecting GF to find some sort of solution, like you said. If paid is the only option, I see it being very cheap. Sort of like how Pokebank is only around 3 dollars. 

       

      And while I agree that there aren't any "bad" core Pokemon games, Oras is definitely at the top of the list of Pokemon games that could have been 200x better if more time went into it.

      I doub't it'd even be that expensive. Nintendo thinks about affordability.  Game Freak has no choice but to "switch" over to it anyway. They can't stick to the 3DS forever. It's not like they actively think "Hey let's screw over fans by making them pay online fees". 

       

       

      Also, The Battle Frontier not being in ORAS was sad, but it's really not that big of a deal.

      It wouldn't have saved ORAS from being terrible anyway.

      I understand people not being able to afford it, but if Nintendo wants to keep up this is what they're going to have to resort to. I don't think it'll be as expensive as other console's online services.

      Paid online = better service. It wasn't an advantage. Prior internet service was extremely mediocre.
