I was really disappointed by episode 1. It just seemed like an incoherent mess to me.
I really liked Episode 2 though, and it was more like what I was expecting, so I'm still looking forward to the rest.
I feel like episode 1 was just a mix up of Pikachu going everywhere, I guess? Felt more like another trailer more than anything. Absolutely adored the Sinnoh and Unova bits though. Probopass looked horrifying to fight. 3 Lasers and a head tryna crush you? Dayum. Meanwhile Regigigas was an absolute MONSTER. Just threw Probopass aside before blasting Pikachu away.
Episode 2 is glorious, easily an 8/10. It suffers from the video length so much tbh. If they had more time and added the Silver and Giovanni scene..oh my lord...
I feel like if every episode is similar in effectiveness as episode 2, I'm going to absolutely adore this. Well, more than I do right now.
Edit: only thing I noticed that was weird was that both were in 360p. Didn't make much of a difference honestly, but it's strange considering most other videos on the Pokemon channels are 720p+.

The first episode was fast paced action, and encompassed basically every Red scene from the trailer, which is nice. They got him out of the way nice and quick, though Pikachu was weird. This brings up my hopes for there being different protags up.
The second episode though, god I loved that. The SWAT team swarming the Viridian Gym, Magnemite destroying the front doors, them rushing into the gym and destroying basically every portion of it trying to find Giovanni only to realise he'd already left. Not only that, but Looker was on the front cover alongside Giovanni, I'm expecting both to have another appearance.
It's exactly what was advertised; A look at what happens from other people's perspectives which in this case, was Pikachu and Looker.

I kinda feel like some guy at Game Freak got a chance to test the waters; like they've been doing for Gen 7 in general. See how the fandom would respond to something like this. That's probably why they're shorts. It'll probably be all action and interesting tidbits for us. Who knows, if this is well received enough, there might, no THERE WILL be more.

With both Generations and SM anime already revealed, one has to wonder what the 1h special tomorrow will announce

We'll be left asking for more for sureIDK, Game Freak have shown that they're listening somewhat this Generation, who knows, maybe we'll get 18 episodes of this whenever a new game releases, or they might just make more and spread it out. Who knows.
All I know is, this has been in the works for a LONG time, they've been getting this ready and refined to finish off the 20th anniversary, I'm sure of it.

Honestly, I don't see why people are raging about it being apparently 'all about Red', when it's going to be mainly about the perspectives of other characters. Red and the other Protags are literally blank slates, so it wouldn't make too much of a difference at all. I can see them making cameos, yes, but this will not be about the protagonists for the most part.

Pokemon Generations! A mix of perspectives from multiple characters from the Pokemon Series, ranging from Red, to Blue, to N, to Looker and even to Lance! Get hyped guys because the first 2 episodes are dropping THIS FRIDAY!
My thoughts: This is fucking amazing. It's pandering to the older fans of the series A LOT. Fucking SWAT teams with Machamps? DOPE AF YO.

Basil - Sky Pillar
"A snowy morning...bleak skies..and just 'ole me" Basil mused as he looked up to the sky while he slowly scuttled out of the little house he called his own. Well he shared it with a certain Spoink, but the energetic little kid was usually out and about, leaving the Drapion alone. "Just how I like it..." He muttered as he looked towards the massive gates to the enclave. Basil could hear the quiet muttering of the few who passed by, how of the hundreds of men sent to Johto in search of survivors at the enclaves, only a select few returned alive though most if not all were quite injured. "What to do, what to do." He wouldn't be much help with tending to the injured, he was very much so in the dark as to how to heal others, unlike an old friend of his from back in Unova or that little Spoink he shared his house with. Perhaps that's where the kid had gone, he'd always had a penchant for helping others. "Well, being indecisive isn't gunna help me get anything done any time soon sooo, time to find myself a bouncy 'lil pig."

Ability: Solid Rock
The basic idea behind Rhyperior remains the same, it's supposed to be an extremely tanky and hard hitting pokemon that's on the slow side. I dropped it's speed a bit making it even slower while it's special defense went up to a decent level to the point where it should be able to survive a LOT more special moves than before. It's special attack was buffed by a lot so now it can make use of it's extremely varied special movepool on top of it's physical attacks. All in all a very RhyPERIOR Pokemon

RIP Mewtwo. You'll always be cool to me....
Though I do wonder where Mewtwo would fit in the power scale. I feel as if he's right between the minor legends and the gods, somewhat of a demi-god of sorts(Which the 'False God' title represents perfectly). After all, his BST is 680 and has been portrayed as extremely powerful, both game-lore wise and in the anime.

She tends to keep more towards herself and doesn't talk a whole lot. A firm believer of talking when it was needed and not wasting breathe otherwise A Pokemon of few words. She's not fond of loud noises, or... extremely obnoxious behavior. Despite this however, she is actually a very fast friend when one takes the time to get to know her. She met this with brute force, tending to send awful patrons flying out the door if they were being too loud with her powerful punches. There was one incident she sent a group of rowdy and unruly men out by Focus Punching them out through the wall. Repairs had to be done for a long while after and it cost a lot to get it done, especially on the small budget of the her owner, but, in time things settled down back to normal.It continued on for some time. A lethargic lull of days, as many eventful morning turned to eventful evenings. The days just passed by. Until, suddenly strange Pokemon attacked the city. They ripped through nearly everything in their path. they.. destroyed with such a voracious hunger. Clarice tried to save who see, could but... there was no chance. She had to get away or become a victim herself. The only person she tired to defined was her own owner. But, it didn't last long. They nearly got to the edge of town before a stray beast pounced on her old owner. Despite not wanting to... she wasn't powerful enough to stop what it did to her. Clarice knew that she couldn't save her. So, with a heavy heart, she used this time to escape instead. She hated that she didn't even try.As a result, she spent years upon years wandering the world staying away from these creatures and most other pokemon. Eventually, she drifted towards the Sky Pillar. None really knew why she was there but her. She'd redeem herself for the sin she had committed then. For failing. She would Redeem herself by fighting now. Becuase, now she could. Maybe it was too late for her partner, the humans... of the world. But it was't too alte for those that were still here. After all, better late than never.

Great things were simply not meant to last however. One day, a swarm of wild, ravenous creatures with colorations that were way beyond the norm of their species charged into the town. The few trainers in there tried to fend them off, but there were simply too many of them and they were quickly overwhelmed. As the remaining citizens tried to flee, an attack was fired in Basil's direction as he and his trainer tried to escape the town. As he dodged the attack however, the attack instead hit the person in front of him. His trainer. The attack killed him immediantly and in his shock, he didn't notice the feral Zangoose that had crept on him. The Zangoose performed a Crush Claw that cut a large gash onto his back, though nowhere near fatal. Basil hastily threw the Zangoose off of him before it could perform another slash, presumably in the same spot and quickly fled into Reversal Mountain where he'd remain for many, many years to come.One day, a stray Spoink wandered into the little hideout he made for himself. As the Spoink didn't seem to have the odd coloration that the feral Pokemon that ravaged his town had, he quickly asked what the Spoink was doing in there. The meek Psychic type bounced back slightly but then told slowly started telling him the enclave at Sky Pillar and how there was a Wailord at the coast of what was once Undella Town that offered passage to Sky Pillar. Taking the Spoink with him, Basil sneaked out of the mountain, knowing it's hidden passages after years of residing in there and managed to make his way to the Wailord at Undella who took them and a few other Pokemon across the sea and towards Sky Pillar; Azauqyar's Enclave. There he'd find a new home, one that'd give him another chance to truly live once more. -

Seeing as how unlike the last PMDRP, this world was not originally built with those mechanics, it functions the same as the game and anime just as SoA p1 did.
In other words- One Mon, One Ability. Everybody gets one, no more, no less.

Considering the mystery dungeon based setting, do mons have all of their abilities like they do in the mystery dungeon games themselves, or is it locked to the single ability they normally have in the main games?
