Well, when I fought a girafarig with my gardevoir in 10.5, crunch somehow lowered my defense twice consecutively (I mean, nothing happened in between, he/she attacked only once). Just after that my charge beam did something similar with raising my sp. Atk.
If there's a specific topic about this, I'll repost this message there.

BTW, I really like the visual improvements, it is much more fun when EQ doesn't look the same as tackle...
